The location is perfect with its close proximity to New Braunfels, yet still retaining that country feel and quietness - so relaxing. There are many things to do and see in the area as it is within easy driving distance to San Antonio, Austin, and many of the attractions that this area has to offer. While the resort is fairly new, it has many mature trees in some sections that make it feel more established and fresh at the same time. Everything is kept up and maintained to a very high standard. We're not sure that you could find cleaner facilities than what this resort offers. We really enjoyed the amenities that were available for use during our stay. They have large gas grills on the patio next to the pool that were available for use. We were also able to use the oven in the grand room, which came in handy more than once. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the firepit area as it provided us an area to gather and have social conversations on a regular basis. And the activities calendar kept us busy and engaged - loved it! But the BEST thing about Canopy is the amazing staff and everything that they do to create a sense of community at this resort. Without them and their efforts, this place would be a really nice facility without any soul. But Devyn and her staff are a large part of the secret sauce that makes Canopy so much more special. We quickly felt like we were a part of larger family or community - a sense of belonging that is hard to describe and yet so wonderful to experience. Before we left this year, we made plans to return next year and for the foreseeable future. We are proud to call Canopy our winter home and would gladly recommend it to anyone else.

The office team is so welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful - they go above and beyond for every guest. And the maintenance crew is outstanding. They keep everything running perfectly and are always smiling, always willing to help. You can tell they truly care about this park and the people in it. The cleanliness is second to none. This park is immaculate - the grounds, the roads, the restrooms, laundry, everything is always spotless. It's obvious how much pride they take in keeping it beautiful. The amenities are fantastic for everyone. Whether you're a family with kids or a couple looking for a peaceful getaway, there is something for you. So many great amenities, beautifully maintained, and perfect for making memories. We have stayed at RV parks all over, and nothing compares to this one. It feels like home, like family. This is my second review of Canyon Cove after having been here for about 9 months…read more Sure, she's got her quirks. Sometimes there are various technical issues, and my cell service is weak out here, (that's a failing in my service provider, tho) and the highway intersection at the entrance can make it tricky to get in and out. But all that just adds to her charms! It's the bird song, the fireflies, the cool breezes, the feeling remote but having fairly easy access to all that is needed... and most of all it's the people. Deb and Dave have been nothing but friendly, responsive, and they work hard to continue to make improvements to this place, and to take care of issues in an expedient manner. And our neighbors? Our neighbors have been wonderful! We've not met a single person who hasn't just been full of smiles. We truly hate to leave Canyon Cove, but life is calling us in another direction... at least for now. We hope to be back in the not too distant future and resume life in this peaceful place! I'm told that Nancy opened the park about five years ago and there are some who have been here from the beginning and I love that about the place. You just won't want to leave unless you have to. Nancy also offers several spots for those traveling through for only days or weeks. If you appreciate the outdoors and peace and quiet, this is your place. Last night I fell asleep to the owls communicating. There is a family of foxes that make appearances from time to time and a roadrunner that lives around here. Nancy has cattle in the pasture that roam nearby. My bird feeders are overwhelmed year round and it's hard to keep up with the hummingbirds from April to October. Who needs amenities when you have nature? For exercise we walk the long driveway, the park roads, or the pasture. We are only 25 minutes from San Antonio and grateful to be living out of the city, yet close enough to go when needed. You won't find trashy trailers here or loud partiers. There are some rules and that too is why we love it. I noticed there weren't any updated posts and I hope this helps others to consider this piece of paradise. PS...I have no shortage of beautiful sunset pics but these are my favorites.

Wonderful location on the Comal River, only minutes from Schlitterbahn Water Park, downtown New Braunfels and Gruene. The two bedroom, two bath condo was an end unit and very quiet. Complete with a Comal River access, balcony, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, washer and dryer, high def TV, pool, spa and parking. The owner was very accommodating. It was GREAT!!!!!
