The Service is friendly and professional. The ambiance is quaint, quiet & private while maintaining an open atmosphere with attentive staff who seem to be the owners. We ordered the orange chicken and yellow curry with chicken. Both come with steamed rice cooked to perfection. The orange chicken was delicious as was the curry. My only suggestion (or preference) is for the curry to be thicker. It was evening around 6:30-7 pm so that might have affected the thickness. Either way I will definitely continue sampling the menu. 4-5 rating if I was able to or knew how to indicate a half star . read more

The short of it is very average Thai food. We wanted something can came across this on Door Dash. From the other review and some of the pictures, we thought this would be a good choice. Very easy to order online. It's not a long drive so we decided to take the drive and pick up for ourselves. Plenty of parking and as everyone has noted, pretty clean inside. I gave my name and within minutes, had my order. It was wrapped up nicely to avoid any spills during transport. We had the Tom Kha soup and it was okay, but not great or what I would call traditional. For the most part, like most Tom Kha soups I have had, but this came with onion and something orange I couldn't make out, but I've never seen onion or this other item ever in Tom Kai. For entrees, we had the Thai Chow Mein with chicken and Drunken Noodle also with chicken. The Thai Chow Mein was very disappointing as it doesn't come as advertised. The carrots were just sliced and typically they would be Julienne and crunchier. I think these carrots were previously frozen. It's also advertised to come with bean sprouts. In the photo on their menu, there seems to be a handful and look fresh and crunchy. I think I found two bean sprouts and they were overcooked. As for the meat, we ordered it with chicken and there were only a few pieces. And worst of all, the sauce. It was completely bland, flavorless sauce. For the Drunken Noodle, it was mostly the same. We ordered this also with chicken but they put very little meat in their dishes it would seem. And per their menu, it's cooked in a "dark soy sauce" but again, whatever sauce they used was very minimal and lacking any flavor. We were really excited to try this new place, but unfortunately, it is just average at best. The food you get will be hot and that is about the best thing I can say about this place. read more

My husband and I went for lunch and we were the only people in the restaurant, so you would expect prompt service. We waited 10 minutes before they came to get our drink order and menus. After quite awhile, our food finally arrived. We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant because of the good reviews. We ordered Pad Thia GF and Pad See EW. We dug in and both stopped and looked at each other....the food was horrible. It was so bad that after a few bites, neither one of us could stand to eat anymore. We never saw the waiter again so we got up to leave. He came to the register and asked how was our meal (we could barely understand him between his accent and his mumbling) and my husband told him both dishes were uneatable. His reaction was...he smiled and mumbled something, took our payment and that was it!! Unbelievable!! I am totally flabbergasted how this restaurant got so many good reviews. Delicious food! If you want fresh authentic Thai food ; this is the place. We always look for something casual on a Sunday that has really good food flavors. My husband wanted Thai and there are several places around but they just don't hit the mark. Everything here was flavorful and tasty. We enjoyed everything I had a Thai steak salad (s real flavor explosion) and my husband had the cashew chicken. Plenty of protein in both. The cashew chicken had the prettiest, perfectly cooked carrots in a sunburst shape. The food was just the right size for eating without a knife. We shared the steamed dumplings and they were so tender. They were obviously freshly prepared and fork tender. Also they're open on Sunday which is a great find! Oh my!!! We have driven by this place so many times and have never tried it. Wow! The interior is immaculate with great decor, super clean, cool music ,and prompt service. The best part is the food. We went to Lakeside Thai for a Veterans Day lunch and it was fantastic. We shared the Soft Basil spring rolls and they were fresh and crunchy with lettuce and basil leaves. I had the cashew stir fry which had a mild rich sauce loaded with crisp tender veggies and the rice was cooked perfectly. My husband had the Pad Thai and he loved it. Excellent Thai food! Very fresh, great spice level and attentive service. Vegetable rolls full of ingredients and piping hot but not greasy at all were a treat to begin our meal. The green curry was filled with fresh veggies, scallops and a perfect flavor. Stopped by Lakeside Thai after running errands in the big city! I ordered Thai Basil Chicken and Drunken Noodles with chicken to takeaway. The service was quick and, of course, the food was cooked while I waited. The restaurant was clean and quiet. There were several other people eating a late lunch or early dinner. My husband and I dug into the food as soon as I got home. Both dishes were very spicy and very good! I'm glad to have such a great Thai restaurant so close to home. I can't wait to take my Thai daughter-in-law to Lakeside Thai. read more

Great food, friendly owners. The spicy fried rice beat any Thai fried rice I've ever had in San Antonio or Austin. Ever bite had the perfect level of spice where you keep wanting to go back for more. Visited October 11, 2023, for a mid-afternoon meal. You'd probably not think of it if you didn't know it's there, right on RR2147 in Cottonwood Shores. It's literally a Mom & Pop place, with young Mom from SE Asia doing the cooking. Not fancy at all, but very clean, great food, varied & authentic menu, good service, and the owners' little girl just might toddle out from the back. The very generous soups are served in a hot pot (2+ bowlsful). There's a local rumor that they're closing: It's NOT TRUE. (Rumors are Horseshoe Bay national sport.) There's also a rumor that they use paper plates: Also NOT TRUE. (They've been using real plates & silverware for months, ever since they could afford a dishwasher.) The prices are good, too. Large groups (say, more than eight) need to call ahead, since Mom needs the time to get things ready. read more

Hard to believe this was a donut shop not to long ago. I don't live nearby but I drive by often for work. I was watching for months as LTF was making its transformation. Then last week the open signs went up. I stopped in to order takeout. It was well worth the wait. You order at the counter and if you're eating in you pick a table and your order is brought out. Instead I spoke with the owner, Jared while my food was being prepared. It felt like hardly any time passed before I had my food in hand and had made a new friend. Got some takeout from here last night and really enjoyed it. Chicken satay was delicious, vegetable delight w chicken was also great- next time I'll add some spice to it, rice was lovely and fragrant and perfectly cooked. We also got some pad Thai, which could use more flavor (compared to other pad Thai we've had), but was still very tasty.
