    Red curry chicken (special)
    Don J.

Food truck serving high-quality and authentic Thai food. Everything is made to order and takes about 15-20 minutes - if you're in a hurry you can call ahead. While you're waiting, you can take a walk over to the evergreen-lined pond oasis next door. They say your beeper will still work as long as you're not on the far side of the pond. Thai-style fried rice with chicken, a regular menu item, was flavorful and served at the spice level I requested. Special red curry chicken was delicious. Tom yum soup with chicken is great on a cold day, and you can substitute shrimp for an upcharge.

We were in the area for the weekend and wanted something that wasn't a winery. Menu looked great so…read moreour party of 10 came in for early dinner on a Saturday. Nice, modern decor with indoor and outdoor seating. The items we wanted were all crossed out: pad see ew, pad Thai, Crying Tiger (main reason for us coming in), and a few more items. We watched as dishes get brought out to all the tables around us, people enjoying their meals and leaving, even those that came in after us sat down ordered got their food ate and left. Not a single person came over to tell us about any delay or a wait times. Servers were walking everywhere, but none came over to check on us. I ordered a kid's fried rice for my daughter specifically stating only rice and eggs. It came out with turmeric and other spices. When I told the guy he gave an attitude saying, "I'll fry up another one." It still came out with the spices. I had to let someone else eat it while I took the white rice from my dish to feed her. Besides the nonexistent and snappy customer service we received, the food was pretty decent. Some of the dishes were salty, but pretty good overall--ex: fried chicken was pretty good. Not sure if they can't handle large groups or if we were the exception, but we were pretty disappointed with our service here. I felt responsible since I was the one that chose this joint for dinner.

We sat on the patio with our pup -- super nice atmosphere out there. We ordered Pad Woon Sen (mild spice) and Curry Fried Rice (medium spice). The spice level wasn't the issue... both dishes were just way too salty. The curry fried rice was at least edible, but the Pad Woon Sen was impossible. We asked if they could remake it, but even the second try was still extremely salty. Ended up just picking out the pork and cabbage and leaving the noodles. Service started off friendly, but after we asked for the remake, the vibe shifted and it got a little awkward. Overall, we really wanted to love this place, but left pretty disappointed.

We devoured them pretty quickly. I had the green curry with chicken (2 star heat) was probably some of the best green curry I have had. The green beans were crisp and the eggplant was tender and that curry sauce....exceptional. Hubby had the soft shell crab with steamed veggies (4 star heat) he thoroughly enjoyed the crisp veggies and the crab was seasoned perfectly. Next time he said will choose 5 stars. He likes it HOT! Our server was super attentive and all the waitstaff were so kind shen hubby brok a jar of soy sauce (sorry again for the mess). Ambience is nice and wuiet, perfect for date night. We will be back!

We ate at Thai O'cha while staying in Kerrville and had a great dinner…read more After a couple nights of chicken fried steak, burgers, and fried seafood we were hoping to grab something different for dinner and Thai O'cha popped up on Yelp as a top local favorite. The restaurant is in what looks like a repurposed house which added to the warm home vibes when we walked in. I didn't get a long look about though because we asked to sit outside to enjoy the rainstorm and view of the river below. (They have 3-4 tables on their covered back porch overlooking the river. Great spot if they're open) Service was good. The waiter was on top of our needs and wasn't gone for too long at any time. He also greeted other diners like old friends when they came in, so they clearly have a solid local following. The menu offers all the greatest hits of American Thai food, pad thai, curries, spring rolls, drunken noodles, Tom Yum, and so forth. Everything we ordered was great and scratched that Thai food craving itch. In the hill country and looking for a great view and something off the beaten path? Thai O'cha might be the answer!

Very disappointing experience…read more We have been eating here for many years, and the food used to be consistently very good. The last time we ate here was about six months ago, and everything was fine. Today, my wife asked me to order takeout, so I ordered the drunken noodles and grilled chicken. Unfortunately, both dishes were horrible. The food had almost no flavor whatsoever, and the chicken was completely bland and tasteless. This was nothing like the food we remember and enjoyed for so many years. What made the experience even worse was the way our complaint was handled. I called the restaurant to let them know about our experience, and the person I spoke with showed absolutely no concern or interest in addressing the problem. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and frankly, it seemed like he simply didn't care. I honestly don't know if there has been a change in ownership or management, but something has definitely changed. Unfortunately, after being loyal customers for many years, we will not be returning. Good food is important, but good customer service matters just as much--and we received neither today.
