I live in Laconia and the closest Urgent Care is in Gilford, so I drove there and there was a long line! (Sunday at 9a). I quickly drove to Belmont, Convenient MD and they got me in in less than 10m. Where Dr Lisa was able to "glue" my cut. She was outstanding and went above and beyond, teaching me how to bandage my thumb and even gave me supplies of two types of band aids and latex gloves. She made sure I understood how to care for my wound so it wouldn't get infected and the glue would remain in tact the duration of the healing process. I will never waste my time going anywhere else! Mid-State Health Center had provided me with care for over ten years. Then they changed that to "we would lose our license". Both of those statement are false. I was kicked out of the office and told I could not receive even the treatments that I wanted. The consent form they have patients sign declares that a patient can turn down a treatment but that is simply not how they operate. I then received a letter telling me to find another provider!

I was seen for a possible tick bite. I was told it was probably an infected hair follicle and to…read moreapply heat to it and try and "express" (pop) it. I asked if they could to that while I was there. It was opened with a large pin/needle and Anthony (the RN that was advising me) tried for several minutes to "express" it. Only blood came out but he continued to press and squeeze it. I was given and topical antibiotic, a script for an oral antibiotic, and told to apply moist heat and "express" it at home. I was also told that if it didn't get better to return and that there wouldn't be an additional charge to the $175 (self-pay) that I had just paid. The area continued to get larger, more red and developed a large hard lump under the original wound. I also developed a rash from the topical antibiotic, which I stopped using once the rash developed. I also started applying ice, not moist heat, as the heat was increasing the inflamation. The swelling increased and the pain became severe (8 on a scale of 1-10). I called 5 days later to see what kind of wait there was at that time and to confirm their would not be an additional charge as I wanted to be seen again. I was told that there would be another $160 charge and that "if" Anthony had told me that, he was incorrect. I asked if they audio recorded the visits, as I was not making it up what Anthony had told me. Jenn, the practice manager, said that was not there policy, that Anthony shouldn't be giving out billing information, and that there was nothing she could do in regards to waiving the fee. I was not only lied to regarding there not being an additional charge, but I feel that opening up the abscess, "expressing" it, and being told to apply moist heat was mal-practice. Beware!!!

I have a developmental disability and my visits could sometimes be near death. They also called me a psyche patient even though I went in for a medical emergency. I will probably be found in my apartment dead because I will never go back there again.

The hospital is immaculate and kept clean by a staff of friendly custodians who take time to ask how you, the patient, are doing. The food was not great, but who expects great food at a hospital. They are not big on Doctors, but will come when forced. Have have an ER, urgent care, and clinic. They also have an Long term care skilled rehab center on site as well an professional building that house many specialists. I spent the night here once when I was five years old or so. I swallowed a penny (I was very orally fixated) and it got stuck in my throat. I had to have surgery and then I pooped it out about 2 weeks later. Nice!

I was rushed in via ambulance as I had a serious GI issue that could have ruptured turning sepsis…read more I had met my surgeon a few days before after looking for one at other medical hospitals. 2 other ER hospital staff sent me home with no surgeons to consult with. As my pain worsened, 2 Drs. from the other hospitals reached out to the one surgeon, at CMS, who saved me from further pain & complications. Thank goodness he had squeezed me in for our consult. Luckily he was the attending Dr. in ER when I arrived. The staff in ER were spread thin. My vitals were taken and I got water and warm blankets about 90 minutes a part. After a few hours I saw my surgeon and he did the surgery the next morning. No time was chosen but, they got me in a 2 hour time slot, luckily. Usually that does not happen. I spent 5 days in the hospital. The staff of nurses were very busy. I was checked on for meals & meds. They were all helpful and caring. Custodial cleaning was delayed when it came to my bathroom. But they came in once a day. IMPORTANT TO KNOW... I had asked the floor nurse, to please take my emergency contact info. I was told someone would be in from resource. She didn't come till I was in the O.R. being prepped for sedation!! Telling me a family member is on file from 10 years ago, she refused to listen to my update & left! That certainly caused stress for me immediately & the family members who were waiting for news not getting any information. The hospital refused to give out info to my family who called. Not all family has kept in touch with each other, sadly. No calls were made to any one. I guess they would have called if I had died. HEADS UP, Write your info on the dry erase board in your hospital room! Sign your name next to it. Be sure they take your information correctly and currently! CMC is out of network for my insurance yet, prices for the Emergency room was much less than another local hospital that is on my plan! There is good and bad with any company you experience. Being medical it was more personal for me. I was fortunate to get the surgery & care needed. In closing It's hard to say all is good. I only had a fraction of exposure there. I know the AI system and owners of the hospital have changed the medical platform of how things are handled. Transitioning has consequences. It's a business. Anyone working in the medical field has a calling to save lives. Yet, it is a worthy skill to balance compassion with success.

The Wells lab could not find my husbands orders. Fine things happen. So we called the two doctors…read moreoffices who had ordered them and they assured us they were in the system and the Kittery lab could see them and said they would call Wells. The only issue is Wells does not answer their phone, no matter how often you call. After refusing to take any outside calls and complaining about faxes coming through, we pulled the plug and drove to Kittery who's lab staff were great. So if you take anything away from this go to Kittery instead or take hard copies of your orders.

She definitely had a problem with obese patients and was inappropriate in her comments and demeanor. We will be filing a complaint regarding her professionalsm and falsifying information. Obese patients should not be discriminated against!
