Lakeview electric was the electrician for our whole house remodel. Once we moved in multiple outlets didn't work. Our exterior cameras and outlets did not have power. Where to start.... These guys shouldn't be in business. They are fraudsters. NIGHTMARE company. Do NOT call these guys. We hired them to remove some old electrical from a fannie mae property we bought as is, basically a demo job. They made many promises and didn't deliver anything. The whole job from start to finish was a lot of work on my end/ there were several permits to get and inspections to schedule. In order to get the first permit, they in a RUSH made me sign a "price list" and didn't even give me an estimate. The timeline was of utmost importance and they pretended like they were going to make it happen. However at the end of the day there came the EXCUSES, we ended up having to go to city hall and pay for not one but two permits. We had to schedule the inspections, you name it. They demo'd the electric thats about it. They sent the bill (that was $1,000.00 over the price list I signed) / 2 days later it was 30 days over due/ a week later they put a LIEN on my property (saying the bill was 75 days past due) My title has a cloud - tried to call to pay the bill and the office/ owner hangs up on you and acts like child, they called us offensive names, they said they were going to force us to sell our house. Lawsuit to follow. Do yourself a favor -- Do NOT call these guys. read more

Had this company replace three wall track lights with bar lights. We called them because we had used them before for a bathroom fan install and they were very reasonable. A week and a half after the light install, I had not yet received an invoice so I called the office....being concerned about getting them paid. They claimed that the invoice had been sent and it must have gone into my spam folder. I checked the folder and that was not the case, no invoice had been sent, so it seems it was fortunate for them that I had called. When I received the invoice, I was completely shocked. I was billed $200/hour for 4 hours and 45 minutes, plus materials, plus $184 for something deemed overhead. I contacted the owner as the actual time the workers were at my house was barely 3 hours, which included a half- hour break for lunch, so 2-1/2 hours of actual work. The issue I have was with the owner's attitude. He was absolutely nasty and completely uninterested in and unconcerned with my concerns as the client. He very rudely rattled off that the GPS time-keeping system started when they started loading the materials for my job (I had the lights, the ladder, the wiring was in the wall and two junction boxes had to be moved a short distance so they did need a sawsall of some type....and I patched the holes left in the drywall). He went on to say that the time charged continues for the drive to my house, through their lunch break and then half-way to the next job. I questioned why the customer pays for the lunch break when the customer gets absolutely nothing out of that half-hour, and his rude response was "because I have to pay them for that time". The guy was completely rude, not willing to re-consider the charge for the half-hour lunch which I got nothing from, was not interested in justifying whatever 'overhead' meant, and said that he couldn't care less whether I gave him a negative review or not. Wow! If this is the new-generation way of doing business, no thank you! Will not ever use them again and could not recommend them...only because of the jackass owner. read more

Eric the owner from Lakeview Electric is super responsive with quote and updates even over the weekend. My job was to replace existing 200A panel with new panel with more breaker slots. Add a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging. Add two 240V/30A and four 120V/20A lines with outlets one floor down and 80' away from the panel. He was able to get a two person crew to start and finish my job within a week of initial request. The two men crew was very professional and did their work in about 9hrs of time. They review the overall job with me prior to starting the work. They also consulted me multiple time on items that might have impact on the aesthetics of the final outcome. I had Lakeview Electric come out and they changed a light on my ceiling in my kitchen and a light over my sink. I was charged 667.99 for that work. However because it's their policy is to send two workers to each job you are charged for both workers even though one does the job. The owners son did the work and the other gentlemen watched him. They charged me 287.50 for one worker and 205.00 for the second one. I spoke to the owner who was very unreasonable and said that I thought I was being overcharged because the second worker wasn't needed. He said that is how he runs his business and that's the way it is. I will never use this company again. I advise others to be prepared to be charged extra for the second worker. This company makes a profit by taking advantage of it's customers. Beware of this company!!!!!!!!! read more

I should add that two electricians came out and charged over $400 to tell me that the issues wasn't with the GFI breaker but that the hot tub kept getting wet. My hot tub continued to intermittently have issues over the past few months without any usage. I called another electrician to come out and they told me that the breaker was faulty. I just had the breaker replaced and it fixed the problem. The original breaker and install came from Lakeview Electric. read more

I had Eric and his team from Lakeview electric replace the electrical panel at my house and install an electrical conduit for my new hot tub. They were punctual, very friendly and did an excellent and professional job. They will now be my electricians for any future issues. Additionally, I was having an issue with my Awing in my RV and I called Eric to see if he would take a look. Obviously, this is not something they usually do and I wasn't really sure what he would say. Much to my surprise, Eric and his son came by and took a look at it. He showed up the next day with his son and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem and didn't charge me which I thought was extremely nice. Do not use this company. I kept track of their hours that they worked in my home. I was charged excessive travel time for the 21.9 miles from their shop to my home. One of the days was 2 hours another 1 1/2. I drove it myself in under 30 minutes. For four partial days I was charged $969.05 for time that they were not actually on site. I contacted the owner Eric and offered to pay for the job and 30 minutes travel time for 2 workers for the four days. He told me to pay the balance due including $969.05 in travel time or I would incur late fees and he would send my account to collections for the balance due. Beware! read more

Good honest company. The guys who came to hang my chandeliers were professional and did a great job. I have very high ceilings which required scaffolding to hang one of the chandeliers. Cannot recommend this company. We used Eric, Lakeview Electric for multiple repairs needed in our new/used home. He was responsive and willing to do the work and his guys that actually did the work we're great. The problems began when we asked for a bid on installing a Generac system. He provided a quote, and I admit, we should not have accepted it. Very high and lots of *** added unknown costs on top of quoted price. He also required a 50% down at time of accepting bid. On the work done inside the house, we were charged for parts twice and parts we supplied. When questioned, Eric became defensive and went on a rant. This is when we decided to cancel doing the Generac system with him. It only got worse moving forward. He has charged us almost $2,000.00 for restocking and shipping as well as costs for engineering and collecting plans. Excessive and attacking is the best way I can explain this. When we received his bid, we were told there was up to a 44 week wait for a Generac. When we cancelled the order, only 6 weeks after accepting the bid, he claimed he had received "our" Generac a week earlier but did not notify us assuming we would want him to do the install right away. He also claimed to have many customers waiting for them. We have since received bids from other electricians and they have not requested plans, deposits, or charging restocking/shipping fees if cancelled. In fact, they have no problem with cancellations due to the demand. They also do not charge additional fees for the pad, engineers, drawings, collecting plans, the list goes on. They seem to know the codes and requirements for our county. They can also draw a simple site plan and request a permit without needing an electrical engineer. Bids from other electricians we've received are almost half of what Eric at Lakeview Electric was going to charge us. If you need an electrician, do your homework and be careful of those like this company who will charge for unnecessary items and as much as the market will stand. read more

I was given an appointment date 5 weeks in the future...then Eric was a no-show. I called immediately to follow-up and Eric said it was my fault for not giving him my contact information (which is the same information given to schedule the original appointment). He eventually apologized and said he would be out the next week. AGAIN A NO SHOW. Terrible business model...terrible customer service. The owner/electrician was hired to diagnose a problem and his employee replaced a breaker in the breaker box. A short time later, the owner himself went to the house and noted another issue with a breaker, and he said that one of the breakers was wired incorrectly. The owner admitted that this problem should have been identified and corrected by his employee during the first occasion, because the breaker box was inspected on the first visit. I was billed a substantial amount for the first inspection. I asked for an accommodation in the billing because of the mistake, and instead I received another invoice far higher that the first time around, and this invoice charged me an hourly rate for two electricians - a total of three hours time to replace one breaker. He appears to be billing for training, as this was a one-man job. He didn't charge for two men the first time around. I think the billing is retaliatory because I complained about the substandard work after his employee missed the breaker that wasn't wired correctly. He also spent considerable time on the phone insulting my tenants and the house in general. I paid the bill because fighting in small claims court would have cost more than the late fees and the inflated amount were worth. I'm astonished at the inflated billing for two people to do the job of one and the unprofessional attitude. I would never use this company again. read more
