I really don't like to leave bad reviews. It makes me feel really bad for the company. I have tried to work this issue out directly with the company to no avail. I assume he will respond with some unkind comments about me personally or something but I called him based on good yelp reviews and to be fair to the yelpers I feel I must review. To give you an idea - I have 38 reviews and 29 are five stars. Only two (including this one rated 1 star). I searched Yelp for an electrician located in Incline Village and found David Bradley of Bradley Electrical. It said he was located at 250 Village Blvd Suite B in Incline Village. I was happy to find a well rated electrician in Incline. We are renting our place out there so we needed a local firm to have on file as well. We needed an electrician to check out our ceiling fan in our very tall Bitterbrush unit. As he was coming for that I also asked him to check out our garage door opener as the motor was not working and replace a dimmer switch (which is a no brainer to replace but he was there anyway). Firstly, we found out later he is NOT located in Incline Village but Carson City. He charged more time than he was onsite so that was our initial question. When we called his wife answered and said they live in Carson City and it was travel time - which David disputed later and said he did not charge travel time. But there are still more hours charged than he was present at condo. He gave a quote over the phone and never informed me it would be higher. He worked on items (like a plumbing issue) without authorization and charged us for it. Our tenant asked him to check a faucet and he agreed to do so teling him the entire fixture needed replaced. (not true). He then charged us for looking at the shower faucet. When he left the FIRST DAY the motor on our garage door opener worked but it now wouldn't close by about a foot and he advised our tenant to tell us to call a garage door company. Wish he had just not tried if he didn't know. He tightened bolts that weren't supposed to be tightened. His assistant arrived separately later I am told and put in the new dimmer switch. A small piece had broken off of the old one. we could have super glued it but wanted to fix ti correctly for the tenant. He charged $63 for a dimmer switch and refuses to provide a receipt for the purchase. He charged 30 minutes for his assistant to put it in when it took less than 25% of that time according to the tenant who was there. Now for the reason we called the electrician - the ceiling fan. He brought the wrong ladder. Since, according to YELP, he was located in Incline Village (complete with a street address in Incline Village) I trusted him when he said he was familiar with our units in Bitterbrush. I was very clear he needed a very tall A frame ladder. But he didn't bring one. He charged me for a second trip to return another day with the correct ladder. The ceiling fan was shot he removed it and capped the hole. So for his time (3.25 hours charged) we got a garage door that wouldn't close, a very expensive dimmer switch, an opinion that a plumbing job needs all new material which was not supposed to be his job and is not true, a reprogrammed garage door remote, and a ceiling with a capped hole. The capped hole was the best part as I understand that the fan needs replaced and I appreciated him capping the hole. But everything else? We paid more than twice the agreed amount but less than his invoice. I informed we would pay the invoice (even though he charged for more hours than he was actually there) as soon as I received a copy of the receipt for the dimmer. $63!? I was told he would be happy to provide it AFTER WE PAID THE FULL BILL. I did not yelp this until he refused for the final time to send the receipt or to explain the labor hours and we paid in full with protest. This company should not indicate an actual street address in Incline Village and business hours on YELP if they are not located there. He should have called as he realized the labor hours were going to more than triple the quote. He needs to have work done approved PRIOR to doing the work by the person responsible for the invoice. He needs to bring the supplies (ladder) that he needs the first visit or return without charging for a new visit. This may be a one time issue and somehow communication broke down.. But I would recommend getting a very clear quote and confirming he will contact you if it goes over that amount and that the work you contract him to do is what he should do and an additional authorization is needed to do additional items he may find or might be pointed out by a tenant. Side note: I called Holm Electric and spoke to Victor. He installed the new fan at the same time he was doing three others in the same condos. They were after all built at the same time. He IS located in Incline and familiar with the units there. read more

I have just finished a phone conversation with our insurance company and they have told me that unless David Bradley accepts liability for his error he will walk away with no liability for our house having flooded due to his faulty work. Here is what happened. We contracted him first in February 2017 to repair the heat in a condo we had purchased in Incline Village, NV. He came on a Friday eve and restored our heat, which we very much appreciated. We then hired him to do plumbing and electrical work at that condo, which we later discovered was done incorrectly. The largest problem we had was with another house we bought in March, 2018. We remodeled extensively, including putting hardwood floors in the entire house. We hired David to install new plumbing and light fixtures throughout the house. He prides himself on mentoring young men, which is great in theory but when they are not adequately trained and not adequately supervised and feel time pressure to finish the results are disastrous. We were out of the country and our neighbor noticed water running out of our garage. Apparently the master bathroom faucets had been installed without allowing enough slack in the drain lines underneath the sink, which resulted in one working itself loose through normal usage. The result was that the entire house flooded since the master bathroom is on the third floor. We have worked with two insurance companies, one for our personal property and one for the building itself. They are working together but apparently unless the party at fault accepts liability they are powerless to recover their loss. So they have paid out tens of thousands of dollars, which will of course be passed along to us in increased premiums when Bradley refuses to assume liability and use his insurance company to cover the loss. We had so much personal property ruined, all of the ceilings and new hardwood floors had to be replaced, internet wiring throughout the house had to be replaced and it goes on and on. I wrote to David Bradley in an email explaining the consequences of what happened. No apology. Unbelievable. I cannot imagine not having a conscience where he can live with the mistake he made. After our house flooded we had another plumbing company evaluate the rest of the work he had done in that house and in our condo. Much of it was faulty but of course we would never have known if we had not had it evaluated by someone else. So we ended up paying twice for all of the work. He continues to work in our community and prides himself on developing relationships with his customers. I think now that is designed to build false trust. I do believe God is the ultimate judge and we are limited in what we can do but I deeply regret he is unwilling to assume responsibility. I have no respect for people who will not do that. Please be careful and do not allow him to continue to perpetuate a reputation that is not accurate and has really wreaked havoc with people's lives. read more

I called Bradley Electrical & Plumbing to fix an electrical problem where a breaker on my panel had tripped and would not reset. Due to my schedule, I wanted to set my appointment for a Monday morning. They asked me if I would prefer Sunday which was sooner. I was surprised that I could get someone to come on Sunday. This was better for me, but I had never thought to ask, thinking Sunday would be a premium charge. I was not. David arrived exactly on schedule Sunday morning at 8:00 am. He did some tests at the panel and ruled out the breaker as the problem. Then he went into the house and started checking each switch and receptacle on the circuit. He found the problem in a seldom used receptacle box where the ground wire was resting on an insulated wire since the house was built (10 years) and wore through, causing a short. David was thorough, professional and efficient. The price he charged me was very reasonable. I plan to hire Bradley to troubleshoot an issue with my A/C next. read more

They showed up right on time, quickly got everything set up, and completed the installation efficiently and professionally. What impressed me most was the quality of the finished work. The installation was clean, neat, and well thought out--it looked like it had been part of the original construction rather than something added later. After a summer of earthquakes & on an older house, my kitchen & bathroom were leaking 5 gallons each per day. As soon as I called Bradley for Plumbing repairs, they put me on their schedule and sent Hartley out to my home. Repairs were complete in an afternoon and another morning with Hartley repairing an outdoor leak from under the house. The leak was repaired and looked lovely with my new pain job. Thanks Hartly. Dave Bradley has helped us out with a variety of issues over several years, and his quick response was no surprise. His technician, Bram, did a fantastic job in finding the leaking water pipe and repairing it, which happened to be in the wall. This was an emergency situation as the bedroom floor (carpet and subfloor) was soaked, with copious pools of water in the crawl space below. I purchased an older home. The 80 year old owner was a do-it-yourselfer. So I have been undoing what he has done since 1964. Bradley has been a large part of making what was done poorly into something done to last. I have had electrical work and plumbing done since moving in. They communicate well, are prompt, respectful, they explain what was wrong and what needs to be done to make it right. Based on the only other Yelp of David Bradley, I called & made an appointment. We agreed on a time, David called, he would be late, we rescheduled. He arrived on time. Fixed a sink problem & explained what happened & what to look for in the future. We went to the real problem: My newly installed boiler. We tested the thermostats, again David explaining what he was doing. Boiler had a couple of problems. We called the boiler installer, David did the talking to ensure accurate communications. I can not say enough good things about this company. They fixed our water heater last year and were responsive and helpful. This year they came when we our basement flooded on the Friday of Thanksgiving. They were incredibly helpful, diligent and communicative. Fixed us right up and got us back in business. David Bradley and his assistant came to check why i was hearing a loud noice when i turned the heat on. I have solar heat (radiant heat). I do have hot water though. Mr. Bradley and assistant were very thorough, professional and explained the issue clearly. They will need to come back to fix the issue. The cost of today's visit was very reasonable.
