Previously, I had a very positive visit-l came in with a concern about my eyes and was seen quickly. The exam was thorough, and the staff made me feel at ease. Everyone was professional and friendly, which I truly appreciated. However, as of 4/18/26, I'd like to update my experience. I had scheduled an appointment about six months in advance, and unfortunately, I forgot to add it to my calendar and missed it. I take responsibility for that. That said, I did not receive any reminder-no phone call or text-which made it much easier for the appointment to slip through. I was then charged a $100 missed appointment fee. While I understand and respect the need for such policies, the amount feels excessive, especially without any prior reminder. I hope you'll consider the feedback and possibly review your reminder system and fee policy.

This places is EXCELLENT. Very warm, caring & patient, and they truly offer state of the art, exceptional care. I have unusual eyes, and have had these kinds of exams administered over 20 years in 4 different states. Rochester Eye Center is the best I've experienced .... the types of exams I have to have are tedious and uncomfortable to have done every year, and with the care I receive at Rochester Eye Center, I have grown FAR more comfortable through the years. I'm hoping all of my review really gets across how well they take care of their patients. It's rare for me to offer five stars, so when I do, it means I really wouldn't change a *thing.* And that's how I feel about Rochester Eye Center and Dr. Heiligman.
