The kitchen faucet still gets caught (under the sink) when you try and extend it for spraying. Price gouging most certainly! On the good side, they did come initially in a timely manner. (BTW-we have been very happy with ARK Septic and they say they get calls from angry plumbing customers confusing their names as they used to be linked many years ago.)

He properly took care of an outside faucet issue that was "repaired" previously 24 months before. I noticed my outside faucet was slightly spraying water from the "repair part" recommended two years prior. In April 2024, I called Harvey Baker Plumbing to fix this faucet as it was leaking from the knob at the time. A young gentleman came and said he did not have the part on his vehicle to replace it (something to do with the pipe size), but he could "repair" it. However, I would not be able to turn the water on and off from the faucet knob. He said the nozzle at the end of the hose would serve as the on/off mechanism. When I discovered the current leak, I called and the receptionist said she could get someone out between 12-2 the next day. I explained the previous situation above and said I definitely want the faucet "replaced" this time. She looked up my previous invoice and said she would note on the ticket the faucet should be replaced rather than repaired. Next day, she called again and said she could have the technician come out earlier if I was available. I said I was and Juan came 15 minutes later, a little after 10am. He was a joy to work with, smiling and providing great conversation and expertise! I explained everything and he said he had the necessary part to rectify the leak. He did a great job. When I got the invoice, I noticed the parts only cost $33 compared to the "repair" part of $10. I was surprised the previous gentleman couldn't drive 4 miles to the office to get the necessary part and recommended the "repair" instead. I estimated I could have saved approximately $200 of labor charges had the work been properly completed the first time. I would have requested the previous technician get the necessary part had I known the difference in part costs was minimal. At least the "repair" lasted 2 years. I will probably continue to use Harvey Baker Plumbing in the future, but I'll make sure I request a more seasoned technician like Juan next time. Final note - Harvey Baker Plumbing now charges a 3% credit card fee on the invoice, which was not their practice previously. It was not a big deal to me ($7.75), and I understand a family business would prefer cash or a check. If I have a major plumbing issue in the future, at least now I am aware of the added fee.

After listening carefully to my description of the water conditions we face after the recent installation of a saltiness water treatment system that promised clean odor & taste results ... not delivered, he spent 20' reviewing my system needs; outlining the causal elements, the ability of the new system to address them, a model of the most effective system for our well water treatment, & a recommended addition that would cover my concerns. I left the conversation with the knowledge & understanding to address the issues in my system, and immense gratitude for Gary's sincere interest in helping another ... by his 30 years in the business of water treatment and the kind regard for another--all w/o charge. We were told if we had an in-home demo, we would get a $50 restaurant gift card. We did the demo in good faith, thinking we might buy due to my having kidney stones and wanting clean water. But we also wanted the card for our 2-hour demo time as promised. PROBLEMS: 1) The demo person did not offer a card to us; we had to ask. 2) There was no card! The demo person gave us a "Gift Redemption Certificate" form we had to fill out and mail (USPS) to Sunsaris' office. 3) The demo person said we could choose from a restaurant gift card, Publix gift card, and a few others. We chose a $50 Publix gift card, which she wrote on the form under "Gift Won". 4) Two weeks later, when the card showed up, it was not for Publix as she promised. It was a certificate code from Restaurant.com with a claimed value of $50. But if you go on Restaurant.com, anyone can buy $50 certificate codes for $20. 5) Plus the restaurants are limited and many have conditions such as "Minimum purchase of $100 to redeem certificates." SUMMARY: Leaving aside whether their water filter is worth the $5000-9000 pricing, I would never do business with a company that promises one thing, makes it hard to get, and then when you get it is worth less than 1/2 of what they promised.
