used CHEAP products to replace our quality products which had 'aged out" and had bad install of the new kitchen faucet. They did come back and replace after multiple calls. The kitchen faucet still gets caught (under the sink) when you try and extend it for spraying. Price gouging most certainly! On the good side, they did come initially in a timely manner. When I pointed out how simple the repair would be he simply stated, "that's how it goes." They told us a specific part needed to be replaced, and we waited weeks for that part to arrive -- during which time my family, including a baby and two young kids, had no hot water. Once they finally installed the part, they told us it still wasn't fixed and that we needed to buy an entirely new water heater. We got a second opinion. The problem was resolved in minutes, and it turned out the part they replaced wasn't even the issue -- it wasn't necessary at all. When I asked Ark for a discount given the misdiagnosis and unnecessary repair, they refused, and instead threatened to place a lien on the property if I didn't pay the full ~$1,000 invoice. I paid it under protest to avoid legal complications. I understand parts can be misdiagnosed, but the refusal to take any accountability -- combined with pushing a full replacement instead of just fixing the actual problem, and threatening a lien over it -- is what makes this a business I can't recommend. Get a second opinion before agreeing to any major repair or replacement with them. read more

Ark Plumbing came out to inspect my backflow and spent less than 20 minutes on site, then charged me $155, which is more than double what other licensed inspectors charge. The real issue, however, was their lack of character and integrity. They tried to price gouge, quoting over $900 for a repair and more than $1,500 to replace the unit--completely unreasonable. When I declined their inflated pricing, they forged my signature on their paperwork and left the water turned off to my home. I later called another reputable company that completed the inspection and made the repair for only $59 total, which speaks volumes. Only out for a quick buck. I called them for a clogged pipe. They came out quickly. Technician was pleasant. Quoted me $600 to snake the line. I knew it was way high but said ok just to get it done. They snaked it with just the 1 inch tip. There is a 3 inch bit that can be used that has teeth to really clear out a clog. They did not use it. They got the water draining. They were there less than an hour and I paid them the $600. Less than a week later, same issue. I called and spoke to the manager "Josh". I explained that they likely only poked a hole in the clog which allowed the water to drain but did not fix the problem. He immediately took an aggressive and sarcastic tone, interrupted a lot, quoted his "26 years of experience" and tried to convince me that I was wrong. Said that they do not guarantee the work and would only come back out if I paid again. Had a different plumber come out. EXACTLY as I thought, ARK punched a hole in the clog only. After only a few uses of the toilet, it immediately clogged. Picture below. The deep hole is the small hole that they punched which you can clearly see is clogged again. New plumber used camera to check entire pipe system, completely cleared all the clog and was here for 2.5 hours. Price was roughly the same as ARK. read more

While doing dishes, we discovered a leak under our sink. It was fairly well flooded and we cleaned it all up but needed to get a repair done. I ran a search on Yelp and this was the first company to get back to me. The only other one to respond to me couldn't touch it till tomorrow so we gave these guys a try. I called at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and they said they could have someone out between 1:30 and 4:30. I gave the basic information over the phone and got a message back that the driver was going to be there around 2 o'clock. He arrived on time and I showed him where the problem was. He went over it and found the leak quickly. I asked him if they could fix a couple other things under the sink while he was there and he said that would be no problem. He put together an estimate for us and told us it would take about 45 minutes to an hour to do. Once we located the water shut off outside everything went smoothly. He fixed everything to our satisfaction and he put together the final bill. We were able to pay with a credit card which was easier for us and it was the amount he had estimated. While it was more than I really wanted to spend, it was really a good value for what we had done. If we need any other plumbing needs, I will definitely consider contacting them again. I prefer not to have to pay for an emergency visit, but sometimes you don't have a choice. read more

One toilet in guest bathroom wouldn't flush and one toilet in the master bathroom was clogged. Turns out the guest toilet needed a part replaced in the tank - cost $228 plus change. The plumber that came out implied that snaking the other toilet would bring the bill to a total of about $500. That wasn't the case. The total bill was $760.60 and only took a half hour for both toilets. If I used a credit card, it was an additional 4%. Luckily I had a Debit card. Because I am a senior citizen I got a discount of 3%. He stated those were the prices in his book, but I never saw a list of prices. I also asked him if he could change a light bulb over the sink, but he declined - saying his boss would get mad. Feel like I was taken advantage of because of my age. I didn't call in the middle of the night; it wasn't a holiday; it was just a Tuesday morning like any other until I signed away any extra money I had for the rest of the month. It'll be peanut butter and crackers for the next three weeks for this senior citizen. But at least I won't have to drive to a gas station in the middle of the night. Recently had Ark's come out to look at a clogged toilet. They quoted $185 service call to clean out the line. That didn't work, so they wanted another $250 to remove the toilet and go through the line from there. They removed the toilet and said that there was a problem with the vent, and it would be another $1000 or more to repair it. At that point, I declined to spend any more. A few days later, had another plumber remove the toilet, and found the wax ring was not installed properly, and was smashed. He also found the cause of the clog, a huge bottle cap hanging out the bottom of the toilet. I called Ark's and the agreed to deduct the additional $250 charge, but would not reduce the original $185 charge. I had to pay another plumber to fix their mistake. We called and spoke with the receptionist, who said they had someone in our area, Kyle Slaughter, and that when he was finished with that job, he was available to come over. He came in and said he is taking all steps to find out where the blockage is. He said he could not find it and that he is going to have to remove a toilet and snake it! He then gave us a quote of $645 he took three pictures on his phone added it to our quote. Desperate, we said go ahead and proceed even though after pricing around that was a high quote! When it was time for him to remove the toilet, he never turned off the water to the house. He also removed the toilet with out H-VACing, the toilet first. You can probably imagine what happened next!! Yup he flooded our entire house!!! Up until that point we hadn't had any spillage or water on our freaking new wood floors( only two weeks in). This water is considered contaminated water also known as BLACK WATER( you know what the Black stands for). Immediately he runs out to my wife and says do you have towels, the toilet is over flowing! ( we have him on camera saying this, as we have several cameras in my home and outside my home). Without skipping a beat she gives him the towels but then realizes how bad the situation really is! Our hole closet and bathroom was filled with BLACK WATER!! He didn't even think to tell us our shoes and files were now drenched and destroyed! Not to mention when he removed the toilet from the master bathroom this also made the kids bathroom over flow as well due to the pressure of not turning the water off! So now we have two huge messes! Do you know he was so freaked out by what he had done he left our house in a panic!! He said he went to get towels from LOWES!! Who does that!! My wife calls me saying things have just gotten far worse than expected, but I never thought that!! He returned an hour later, acts as if nothing happened finds the blockage, it drains!! He tells us it was roots growing in our pipes and that he will need to put a camera down and scope to see where it is, but he can't do it today because someone else has the camera( the truth is he was trying to leave ASAP because of all the damage he just caused)... but he will clean up the water and schedule a time to scope the pipes. Do you know, his version of cleaning up the BLACK WATER was using the towels from Lowe's. I say this because every plumber we have called since this situation has happened to us says, he definitely handled this horrifically! He left our home without scheduling the scope for the plumbing, and did not give us any guidance on all the the NOW BLACK WATER soaking through our floors and spreading through the rooms of the entire house!! He left our house hoping we didn't notice the BLACK WATER sponging through the the floor as we walk!! Skipping many more details and getting to the point! Ronnie the owner(won't disclose his last name for whatever reason) but has refused to help us in anyway even with the video footage of him saying he has made the mistake of not turning the water off or H-VACing the water out. He should be using his insurance to help us! Instead he has placed the blame on us! Even though we have all the video footage!! Kyle took more pictures after the quote was complete to try and say the damage was done prior. What he didn't know was that each photos had a time stamp and the later photos were taken nearly two hours later!! Thats how conniving he was. THANK GOD FOR THE VIDEO FOOTAGE!! If you have hung on this long to this review, I'm sure your wondering the out come!! We had to get our home insurance involved because he has simply refused to help us or work with us!! Don't worry we are covered and will be going after his insurance as soon as we take care of the damage he now created!! Still to this day February 1, 2021, we have industrial air dryers in our home. They will have to cut our walls two feet up in our entire home and remove the floors and replace them. A far more intricate job than just H-VACing a toilet and turning off the water main!! I have waited since January 18, 2021, to type this review as I didn't want to give a review based on anger. I also wanted to give time for them to rectify the situation which they haven't! I consider myself to be a good honest person of the law as I am in law enforcement and I do not have clouded judgment due to frustration or anger. Do not use this company!! Beware!! No one deserves to be treated this way!! You have been warned!! This is not a comment about the technician. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. I called about a leaky outdoor hose faucet that was causing damage to an indoor wood floor. This was on Friday. The plumber came and said after glancing at the faucet that he would need to do the repair on Monday because he didn't have supplies on his truck. He gave an estimate of nearly $800. I politely declined and I was charged $80 for a "dispatch fee". So I was charged $80 to find out ARK Plumbing sent a plumber who wasn't equipped to do the job he was called to do, and the repair would cost WAY more than the reasonable rate. If they were not planning to do the job, I should not be charged a dispatch fee. I have to wonder if the outrageous $800 estimate was intended to collect $80 for zero work, which isn't a bad profit. read more

I called to have someone come out to replace a pressure relief valve in private home. Came out showed where the valve was, looked at and turned valve some and started to going into great detail of what was wrong. I stated to him so is basically like I said, the pressure value, he said yes. He wanted to check the pressure goes to his truck to find his PSI tester, moving all kinds of stuff around trying to find it. Ten minutes later he finds it. Then I ask him to see what the pressure was at the meter, takes covers off and try's to read and says it does not show current PSI. (Which I explained I know had been adjusted before) Then I point to where the general area of where the hose is. Then he starts to connect the PSI tester to the hose rack that has nothing attached to it. Which I had to point out to him. Then disconnects the proper hose from connection and test the psi, and stuff something in his pocket not sure what it was. Then goes back to his truck to calculate an estimate, which I had two options both were close 1000.00. I that he was kidding, was not. I told him absolutely not, no way in hell. Went back inside to find my check book to pay him the $80 for what little he did. Handed him the check, and starts telling me he could work something out. Did not what to hear any more. Went back inside. Then he drives a little up the street and parks for whatever reason. I go outside only to find out he left the hose disconnected and the valve not placed where it was and the covers of the meter. I went to where was parked and told him what he left undone. read more

The tech was very polite and looked over what had to be done and then said the install would be more than $800! That's to just install a faucet and disposal!
