    Small hole poked by ARK

Only out for a quick buck. I called them for a clogged pipe. They came out quickly. Technician was pleasant. Quoted me $600 to snake the line. I knew it was way high but said ok just to get it done. They snaked it with just the 1 inch tip. There is a 3 inch bit that can be used that has teeth to really clear out a clog. They did not use it. They got the water draining. They were there less than an hour and I paid them the $600. Less than a week later, same issue. I called and spoke to the manager "Josh". I explained that they likely only poked a hole in the clog which allowed the water to drain but did not fix the problem. He immediately took an aggressive and sarcastic tone, interrupted a lot, quoted his "26 years of experience" and tried to convince me that I was wrong. Said that they do not guarantee the work and would only come back out if I paid again. Had a different plumber come out. EXACTLY as I thought, ARK punched a hole in the clog only. After only a few uses of the toilet, it immediately clogged. Picture below. The deep hole is the small hole that they punched which you can clearly see is clogged again. New plumber used camera to check entire pipe system, completely cleared all the clog and was here for 2.5 hours. Price was roughly the same as ARK.

    Wax ring installed by Ark's

Recently had Ark's come out to look at a clogged toilet. They quoted $185 service call to clean out the line. That didn't work, so they wanted another $250 to remove the toilet and go through the line from there. They removed the toilet and said that there was a problem with the vent, and it would be another $1000 or more to repair it. At that point, I declined to spend any more. A few days later, had another plumber remove the toilet, and found the wax ring was not installed properly, and was smashed. He also found the cause of the clog, a huge bottle cap hanging out the bottom of the toilet. I called Ark's and the agreed to deduct the additional $250 charge, but would not reduce the original $185 charge. I had to pay another plumber to fix their mistake. Please see attached pictures which show what the second plumber found. Has been working fine since then.

If you don't want too spend $650 an hour on a minor outside faucet repair, I highly recommend you look elsewhere!

The techs showed up on time, their prices were way too high. Got the job done elsewhere for 1/3 of the price.

This is a difficult review to write as I had a positive experience with the actual crew who did the…read morework and am happy with the work they did. I hired APT to redo my cast iron drain pipes. When APT initially quoted my job I had asked about the route they would be following with the pipes. Other plumbers had suggested following the same route the current system did and simply removing the old and replacing with new PVC. They also suggested going through the drywall in two places as opposed to tearing up the Slab in every room. When I asked APT about this the salesman let me know that would not be possible, however their price was good for what seemed to be a more difficult pathing and a neighbor had used them so I ended up choosing them. It took 3 months for my job to begin, after being given a verbal promise that the job would begin within 45 days. I was more than understanding as I live in the City of Orlando and understand that sometimes things are not in the control of the company. When the job did finally begin I was told it would take 4 guys 4 days to complete the job. Their crew (the only repipe crew they employ as they normally deal in pipe lining) was fantastic. Very professional and honest workers. They let me know upon looking over the job to be done that they recommended following the path of the original pipes and going through two of the walls (same as others had suggested.) and also let me know the kitchen pipes were already new and the pip leading to the road (about 75 linear feet of pipe) while clay was still in good condition and didn't need replacing. They began the job Tuesday September 3rd and finished Friday September 6th. It took 4 of them day one, 3 of them day 2 and 1 Guy on both days 3 and 4 with a second guy helping after the concrete inspection on that fourth day. Final inspection was originally scheduled for Friday September 13th however they sent me the final invoice requesting full completion of payment on the 9th. I let Kat know over the phone that I would be more comfortable finalizing payment once the final inspection was passed to which to acted as if that was an u common practice. I've worked in roofing and currently work for a general contractor... it is standard practice to send final invoicing after permits are closed and inspections are finalized. They took $3900 off which I was happy about and I asked for an itemization of the change order, stating I wasn't asking for their costs or profit margins just simply a breakdown of the completed work in comparison to the original quote for my personal records. They let me know I should have it in a day or two. They hadn't closed out the engineering report for my job so the final inspection ended up being pushed back to Friday September 20th. During the time in between they proceeded to send me the final invoice 2 more times still having not sent me the requested itemization for my home records. The final was completed on the 20th and I called them to ask if I could receive the promised itemization. They told me they would get with Tony Diana their Director of Customer Service to have that sent over. Instead on Tuesday September 24th I received a threatening email stating that my "request for additional credit to my account" was being denied and that they would begin the process of placing a lien on my house if payment was not made by 4pm today. I never requested any credit let alone and additional one. I've already made the final payment however his email was unprofessional, antagonistic, and frankly disgusting. I never asked for any "additional credit" or discount I simply asked for a receipt for the service I was paying for which took him 2 weeks to get to me and was sent with that threat. His threat insinuates that they had been waiting for my payment when this email was sent less than 2 business days after the final inspection was completed and I still hadn't heard back from them. I didn't question the integrity of the company until I received such a visceral response upon simply asking for a receipt. I would not recommend working with these con artists. The plumbers are great but the company is obviously trying to scam its customers, if they are so defensive about me simply asking for a receipt. Use at your own risk but do not expect transparency from this company.
