My first visit was with Jasmine, and she used expert precision to execute my nail design exactly like the photograph. Yesterday, I was seen by another lady (her name escapes me), but I know she has two grandchildren. I let her free style the design on my pedicure, and it came out better than expected. Right now they have a special $10 off a milk and honey pedicure (yes, they use real honey). Don't just take my word for it, go check them out for yourself.

I'll have to see how it is when they're in their rush times on the weekends. Anyways, Miss Moon was so sweet, and really took good care of me and took the time to do a good job. She also speaks English which I appreciated so it was super easy to communicate with her what I wanted. Additionally, they offer drinks while you're getting your nails done. I came into town for a quick overnight trip and decided I wanted to get my nails done last minute. I found Cindy on yelp and loved her stuff and called and she had an opening which was amazing. I'm normally not a talker but she was so easy and sweet to chat with. Her husband runs the shop with her and they were such a lovely couple as well as their daughter in the back. I had not taken great care of my nails and Cindy was so good with them. I showed her a picture and she nailed it. They made me feel so comfortable returning, without feeling intimidated or unsure, because they genuinely wanted me to have a good experience. Mike was super nice, professional, and took his time, which I appreciated. However, checkout was frustrating. There was an unexpected extra charge labeled "nail tip," but I didn't get tips--these are my natural nails. I mentioned it to the front desk, and instead of explaining or checking kindly, the woman loudly yelled Mike's name across the salon about 3 or 4 times--even though he was clearly setting up for a pedicure. She didn't move from her seat once or attempt to handle it with any care or discretion. Mike came over and explained that the charge was actually for the cut-down and shaping (I got a simple square shape). I've never been charged extra for that before, and it definitely wasn't mentioned during the service. I told the front desk it would've been nice to be informed of any extra fees up front. She didn't respond--not a word. Just sat there with an attitude and zero customer service. It was especially disappointing because this was my first time at the salon. The staff even asked if it was my first visit, so there was no excuse for the lack of communication. You ask all kinds of questions during the appointment--asking if I want short, long, square, round--so why not mention when there's going to be an extra charge? That said, the salon itself is beautiful. I really loved the pink and floral decor--it's cute and aesthetically pleasing. Mike did great work, but the front desk experience definitely left a bad impression.
