We had a mini-split installed in our house and the installation was fast, efficient and the installers were incredibly kind/clean/tidy! They gave me a heads up when they were going to drill the holes and make a bunch of noise so I could take my little kids out of the room. They were respectful and extra quiet when I put my baby down for a nap. They helped me learn maintenance for the unit before they left. A few months after instillation, David came out to double check that everything was working well (which it was). He was so nice and friendly and gave us more tips on fan speed for our space and lay-out. I learned so much and am grateful for their friendliness, accessibility and quick responses. I would recommend this company 10/10! I can't believe I waited so long to upgrade my pellet stove to a mini-split. The icing on the cake for this review (my first yelp review) and this company, was that our Cave Junction/School district community just un-expectantly lost a really important member. Didn't actually repair the issue to insure they'd be called back for more repairs! My home warranty company dispatched them when the ductless units in my home would stop working. They came out pretty quickly, fixed the issue by adding freon and left. The unit worked fine after but about once a year I have to put in a new work order for the repair. Lam air comes again, fixes it, great. Each time I have to pay about $300 for the freon which I'm never happy about but I didn't know better. I stopped renewing my home warranty this year and finally called a different repair company who immediately found a leak in the valve. He said it had clearly been there for a long time, and clearly the previous repair company was refilling the refrigerant without repairing the line to ensure they'd get another call in a year or so! Then he said "it wasn't Lam-Air, was it? They're famous for pulling that kind of s%&$". read more

Referred through home warranty. Work done was fine, tech seemed competent, but I was charged *a lot* for it that they said home warranty wouldn't pay for. I politely asked for a receipt for whatever work the home warranty did pay for, so I'd have it for my records in case that work had issues, and just so I'd have complete service records in case we ever sell the property. They refused. Repeatedly, even while I explained why I wanted it. They said the home warranty company didn't allow them to issue receipts. I called home warranty company and said that was not the case. And in fact, I've had no problems getting itemized receipts for work performed under the same home warranty company from numerous other service providers. I wasted hours trying to get them to do what any honest fair company would do, and they refused. Draw your own conclusions. read more

Jeff and Jeremy were great trying to fix our 20-year old heat pump. There were two different service calls. Jeremy left and everything was working fine until the next day when the heat pump quit again. Then Jeff came and had to crawl on his belly on a dirt floor under the house to diagnose the problem. He found the wires were chewed. After some frustrating time, back and forth and up in the attic, the problem was resolved. We were credited the first service call. All is well with the old heat pump ready to go for a few more years. We have had Lam'air for another problem and definitely would continue with this company. read more

I know now after sharing my experience that these guys are famously dishonest. They charge $100/pound for refrigerant that costs $13/pound. Ok, that's their choice to gauge on prices. BUT, then they also charged us for more refrigerant than would actually physically FIT into our unit and line set. When we asked them how they explain that they said that they have to account for a reasonable amount of product loss during the process of installing it. If you understand the process of adding the refrigerant you understand that the idea is ridiculous. The overcharge was 2 pounds ($200) of apparent loss of refrigerant. read more

Lam Air was professional, knowledgable and repaired my heat pump quickly for a very reasonable price! Other Grants Pass companies said it could not be repaired! After that, I sent Lam Air to a rental house that I own that other companies had bid $2000 to repair. Lam Air repaired that unit for only $200 and they had it up and working immediately! No waiting for parts! I would highly recommend John at Lam Air! The lady who schedules appointments is also wonderful! We recently had a new heating unit installed by two very nice, professional young men. They did an excellent job, cleaning up after themselves, going above and beyond by picking up my package at the end of the drive and offering to bring in more wood for our little stove. We had just moved here two weeks ago and the heating failed. Really cold with only small wood stove so these men were a welcome sight. We are finally getting air conditioning....called two local companies. Compny #1 came out on time was very nice measured and said he would send a quote by e-mail. Three days later no quote,! Lam-Air sent out a gentleman named Lee Chase, OMG very first thing he sat us down and gave us all the info on the ductless air conditioning we wanted. What a great thing! Heater went out, I called in a panic as I take care of my 103 year old mom and she likes the house 90 degrees. The person that answered the phone was great and had me an appointment right away. The tech came out, his name was Kyle and he was the nicest young man I have ever met. He explained what had happened, didn't talk to me like I am an idiot and got my heater back on. I am not sure what Kyle makes but I can tell you it's not enough. He saved the day. I will tell all my friends at the county club about Lam Air. read more

Recently Lam-Air replace my old heat pump system. The sales engineer was very thorough. He took into consideration our exact footage, what type of windows , the thickness of our walls, and insulation we have. This is something none of the other companies took the time to do, Lam-Air wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive of the bids we considered. The installers took the time to explain how our new system worked, and politely answer all of our questions. We would recommend Lam-Air without reservations. read more

We contacted Lam Air to install a new Dankin heating system in our den. Jake and Jace were the installers. They did a wonderful job, not only with the install but with protecting our floors and furniture. When they left, our home was perfect, the only difference was the wonderfully warm room. Ruben and Jolio did an excellent job replacing a damaged coolant line for my air conditioner. They were professional, polite, took time to explain to me what they needed to do.
