Been searching for a good Dentist in my new neighborhood for a while. After having done much…read moreresearch and comparison, I found Dr. Maureen Lam and her office, and decided to go there. Everything works out perfectly, the office was very organized and brightly clean, and the equipment are modern and well-kept. I went there for a filling for two of my cavities. One was an older one with previous fill-in already fallen off, and was deeper and bigger than other. My previous dentist didnt do a good job, because it fell off only after 2 yrs of use. So, this time, I made sure I need to find a good doctor. I guess Dr. Lam is just that! She finished the entire procedure painlessly and meticulously(as compared to my previous dentist). I am very content with my visit, and will highly recommend Dr. Lam to all my friends. [Date of Visit: March 2018]

I am thinking about switching doctors and leaving this clinic after 15+ years of being a loyal…read morepatient. In the past 6 times where I had my teeth cleaned, the hygienist is always someone new. In the last 3 times, I had the hygienist digging into my gums trying purposely to make me bleed and then blame me for sensitive gums. The gouges they leave in the teeth afterward makes it easy for food to get stuck in even weeks after the cleaning. The first time; I had scratches in my teeth from the tools use that I can still visibly feel with my tongue (I suspect one of which has been there since 2023) . The second time, the gum lining never grew back, and I developed 4 new gum holes where I need to floss extra hard every time because it became that much wider after a teeth cleaning. And the 3rd time, I am convinced they are trying to make me bleed ON PURPOSE. In a gum testing, one blonde hygienist managed to get all 28 teeth bleeding by purposing digging at my gums from front to back with a metal tool and then record it on file, citing that I have inflammation and therefore bleeds, always. Mind you, that's never been the case at home. I also don't happen to brush my teeth with metal, so professionals should bear that in mind when you DIG my gums. I was told by the doctor that I need no less than $2800 for X-ray, deep clean, laser, arestin (11 antibiotic needles inserted between my gums) to get full care. They ask for me to pay out of pocket. I do not think I will be coming back for the 15th year.... Same doctor, different practice. It has changed a lot since my childhood. Very sad. I feel I will take my damaged mouth elsewhere to look for a cure.

I will give 0 star if there is a option. Here is what I experienced during this office visit and…read morewas definitely a nightmare. My child just turned 6 years and has barely seen a pediatric dentist before. Today I bought him to the office 15mins early before the appointment, there was one patient before us and quite empty at that time. Shortly after that patient was done, the assistant called my child to do Xray for the tooth. That assistant was extreme impatient and rude. She was keep saying" Stop moving, I have more patients after you, you are wasting my time." "You are 6 years old already, you never seen a dentist?" etc..... As someone who work in a pediatric office, they should confort the child during treatment not threat or language bully the child. I felt uncomfortable for how she talk to my child at that time already. What pissed me the most was she force to put the Xray equipment into my child's mouth, my child wasn't resist at all just kept telling her that he is hurting, however she complete ignore my child, still tring to force the put the equipment in and keep rush my child. I told her to stop, the actural doctor came and ask what happend. I told doctor to check video record to confirm what's going out, she denied and told me there is no camera in the office. The way doctor handle ths complain was very perfunctory, I don't feel any apology from the doctor at that time. Such behavior and attitude from the doctor and assistant are totally unacceptable. I can't imaging this actually happend in our country.

Posting for a friend…read more.. 2 dentists work at this practice - Dr. Wee and Dr. Li Yar Yin (AVOID HER INDEED, Zero star !!!!).   Dr. Wee is so far the BEST pediatric dentist I have ever seen, we were lucked out to find her, very nice, patient and knowledgeable, however she only works on Friday and we were told she does not see any regular visit anymore last year.  Then we had no choice but to switch to Dr. Li and it was where the nightmares begin.   I took my son there on Sunday (1/21/18) and being told he has a cavity. They made an appointment for us to come back on Wednesday (1/24/18) because they said the procedure would take long when I asked why can't it be done the same day.  The receptionist said the appointment can only be made from 10am - 2pm because Dr. Li has to be somewhere after that.  Fine!  So I made a 2pm appointment on Wednesday.   Unfortunately my son was confirmed STREP THROAT on Monday (1/22/18) and I called the office right away to give them a heads up and also to find out should we reschedule our appointment.  The receptionist told me to come on Wednesday and let the Dr. Li decides it on site and I said that's not possible and asked her to contact the Dr. for me and then let me know what the decision is.  An hour later, someone called me back from the office said the dentist said it is okay to go.   On Wednesday, we were there sharp at 2pm because I remembered they said the Dr. had to be somewhere after and I didn't want to delay her.  My 5 years old boy, my 1.5 years old girl and I waited 1.5 hours (which was until 3:30pm) before we got to see her.  People who came after me get seen first and I was told my son would be next when I asked when would be our turn. I am talking about 1.5 hours in the office waiting with two kids, need not to mention my youngest one was getting cranky and hungry (there is a sign at the office saying no eating).  Finally it is our turn.  But the Dr. told me it was not a good time for the procedure the second she saw my son with a mask on and knowing that he has strep. Was this whole thing a joke????!!!  She was so unprofessional and disrespectful!  She could have told me a day early when I called in for my son condition but she asked me to go instead!  She was so rude and didn't even apologize when she realized her mistake (or may be not).   A bad decision maker and shame on her! I will never go back nor recommend anyone to her!
