I just came here yesterday to get a full teeth cleaning and the service was pretty great. Wait time was minimal. Paperwork was 6 pages long and the questions were easy for me to go through them. I did not need to pay copay too. The receptionist finished setting me up really fast without any issues. The x ray was alright. I did not like the posture I was in as the x ray exam was going on. I had to lean backwards and thankfully there were bars to hold on to or else I would have fell. Afterwards they had to do more dental x rays on my teeth when I went to another room and they covered up the equipment as much as plastic cover as possible. I wish they had more plastic cover on the equipment that I was biting into. I saw that the utensils were bagged up before they used on me so that was good. Dental cleaning with the hygienist was pretty fast. It did hurt a bit and I was pretty scared the dental cleaning would cause gaps in my teeth but luckily it didn't really do much and the hygienist did a good job. My teeth feel weird now like they are popping out as my tongue runs through them but thankfully the hygienist got the junk out of my teeth! The office is very plain and white once you're inside. There rows of black chairs for people to sit. Plenty of chairs. Many small plants along the windowsill. There is a $50 no show fee on the wall. I am very disappointed with the way this office handled my care. I had a root canal scheduled and confirmed the day before, and the doctor ended up not being in the office for personal reasons. I tried to reschedule for two months, and did not have my email or calls returned on several occasions. My email was still never returned. When I finally did have my urgent call returned, there was no flexibility to be offered with my health insurance expiring by end of month. I was left stranded with a need for a root canal. I can't speak to their work, but the bedside manner and lack of empathy and ethical care that was involved was below my level of expectation and standard. Maybe look for another place if you want an office that cares. read more

Went here for a year or two and can't recommend them. The cleanings were the least thorough I've ever had. Last time I was there, the hygienist literally did one quick, straight scrape (not even following the contours of my teeth!) along my teeth and sent me on my way, which was the last straw. I also found the dentist to conduct himself in an unprofessional manner. I got the impression that he put a lot of pressure on his techs and hygienists to move very quickly, so I don't necessarily blame them. He scolded one of his staff members in front of me once, which was awkward and uncomfortable, and he also used pet names with me that I found condescending (I'm a young woman, but he wasn't so much older than me that it felt excusable). Overall, I wasn't happy with my care there. read more

Very nice dental office. The staff are all super accommodating and kind. They will chastise you if you don't do right by your teeth. My sons gums seemed to be swollen below his filling. I called them panicked and they told me to come in right away. I really appreciate that they made themselves available for my issue. They did a thorough check and it turned out to not be any issue. went for a root canal but less than a month later that tooth broke! called the clinic and they said u didn't get a crown? i told them nobody told me. nobody explained any post root canal care or follow up. still scheduled an appointment. went to the appointment, the ladies at the front desk then tell me that my insurance was terminated? according to them they tried calling me multiple times. come to find they had the wrong number on file. ok fine, but i called them earlier that morning. why wouldn't have they tried that number? or my husbands number that I also wrote on the application form? also husband and I never changed jobs so having our insurance terminated is IMPOSSIBLE. overall, the experience was very shady. time to find a new dentist. read more

My dad had been and still is a patient of Dr. Anvar, having no other options to deal with my dental emergency, my dad called Dr. Anvar to see if he could take me last minute, and so he did... Dr. Anvar is my general dentist, and Dr. Kalman of Leading edge oral surgery is my oral surgeon. Together they've created a plan, and have been some of the most professional medical professionals I've ever met. Over the last 2 years I've probably been to Dr. Anvars office more than 20 times--the staff is ALWAYS warm, welcoming and I feel like family at this point. I went for a cleaning, the woman who took my X-Rays was probably having a bad day, she was a bit rude and didn't take the X-Rays in an effective manner, she said she missed spot right where I told me it was hurting (one of my molars), I told Dr. Roman the Doctor in charge that it hurt and he said he didn't find any problem, he also said I had a different problem and that he would contact my insurance to check if I was covered for that, he never did and he never got back to me on this, 4 months later that same tooth chipped exposing the pulp, now I have to look elsewhere becasue I don't trust this practice. read more

I had a great experience with my first visit, then everything just went downhill. The staffs are very friendly. The younger dentist did a great job on explaining everything before he started cleaning my teeth. He cleaned half of my teeth and asked me to make another appoint for the other half. I went back again and he was not in the office, however his father was. He cleaned the other half and I went home found out there are still some plague. I didn't think it's a big deal and made an appointment for follow up visit for my cavities. Before my cavity filling visit, I called the office and asked them nicely is it possible to clean the plague that was left there last time. When i went to the office the older dentist didn't seem too happy about the fact that I wasn't satisfied about his job last time. He kept saying everything is clean, i don't see anything, but as long as it makes you happy show me where is the plague. When he finished, I was ready to get his attention on my cavities. He said go out make another appointment with my son (the younger dentist). I just gave him my honest feedback and hopefully thing can get fixed, it seems like he didn't like it. Long time dental,in flushing. I did went there couple of times but I did not get very satisfied with service. The employees are not that professional it seems they don't know what's happening sometimes. It did seem hygienic and clean all over the office . The tv did not work in the waiting are . There are couple of magazines that you like to enjoy reading. But the doctor is good though, I get filled two of my teeth.i like the way he did the job and work on my tooth. He explain everything before he does any job to my teeth, that was cool and relaxing for me. You know the most important body part is you teeth and if that messed up your whole body is messed up. With a heavy heart and great sadness I write this review. I took my elderly mother 84 years old for replacement dentures with the elderly Dentist Anvar at Flushing Family Dental. At first visit I was impressed with the cleanliness of office and to take my mom here for the long process of getting her dentures. The first few visits were pleasant and normal - however toward the last appointment when my mom was being measured for the final fitting - Dr Anvar was very angry with my mom that she closed her eyes and he pushed her head and yak her mouth open and yelled at her that why she close her eyes and not pay attention ! I was in the same room and was beyond shocked and didn't know what or how to react . My mom has fear of dentist and that's why she closes her eyes - but this crazy old man yelled at physically pushed my mom head and stuffed the denture into her month. My mom and I went home and we spoke about this crazy old man assault on her - she said she never want to go back to that crazy old man office again. Dr.Roman is the BEST Dentist I've seen in a while! Very attentive, answers all my questions, he's thorough and most important super friendly/helpful. I went in for a custom night guard and I received it so fast. The night guard is perfect and super comfortable. I also got a cleaning yesterday and it was the best cleaning I've received ever. Ariana took her time and answered all my questions. She even took her time to demonstrate certain things. I left super happy and my teeth feel and look amazing.
