I have been recommending Dr. Ye to all my family members, friends, and colleagues! I finally decided to get braces after years of debating it. I called Avalon Dental and spoke to Manager Lily about this process. It was also my first time using my new insurance, so I was very confused and anxious. Manager Lily carefully explained all the details and answered all my questions (and I had tons)! She never sounded annoyed and helped me out every step of the way. I was super nervous on the first day to get my cleaning/x-ray done, but the team at Avalon Dental quickly changed my mindset. Everyone is extremely professional, kind, transparent, friendly, and gentle. Before the x-ray screening started, Manager Lily asked me to pick my favorite show on Netflix so I could relax. I met Dr. Ye's assistants, and they did an amazing job. They kept asking if I felt comfortable, if I was in any pain, if I wanted to change anything, and if there was anything they could do better for me. I felt that everything was already perfect. I had a one-on-one conversation with Dr. Ye afterwards and he suggested specific products for me to use because I personally have very weak enamel. The lesson below cost me $310 + $120 and I hope you don't have to. I gave Avalon Dental a call before my visit in November 2021. I was told that I won't be charged for Orthfx quotation. I compared a few treatment plans after my visit to Avalon and decided to go with another clinic. In November, 2022 when my current ortho treatment was about to end, I found out my insurance benefit was not received. It turned out that Avalon Dental had claimed my "ortho treatment insurance benefit" in the amount of $310 without my acknowledgment. I confronted with their manger Lily over the phone, and she agreed to refund that amount back to my insurance but I had to pay an upfront of $120 for my visit. Hoping to get my insurance benefit back, I trusted them again and paid. After 3 months till today, my insurance company told me that the claim was over a year and they would not be able to send the rest of my ortho benefit of $310. I have no complaints over Dr. Ye nor any other staff in Avalon Dental. I simply don't like that plan. It was this unprofessionalism of manager Lily that really disappointed me. BEWARE they say they are not gonna charge you until you make a decision on your ortho plan. That's simply a LIE. They are just going to bill your insurance $310 for "pre-ortho examination" when there was no treatment performed. You won't be able to find out after you complete your ortho treatment when it would be too late to dispute that back. In fact if you go to any other clinic asking for an ortho treatment plan quote, almost none of them is going to bill you $597 simply for a quotation or even for a treatment plan. If you are comparing ortho treatment plans, beware that Avalon Dental may claim your insurance even if you decide not to take their service. It was my mistake choosing Avalon Dental. I don't know where to start . I have been coming to Avalon for quite some time now ,after originally being afraid to visit the dentist due to the past Trauma I received in other dental offices . I always fear going to the dentist. Dr Ye and his staff exceeded my expectations and made my experience feel less scary every way they can--putting up music I like, giving me a stress bear, or putting up my fav movie on Netflix or Disney Plus. Two visits later, Dr Ye transformed my smile and to this day, I got never ending compliments from my family and friends. Dr Ye re-did my broken fillings and cavities on my front teeth and I got a new smile with combinations of crowns and bridges. Place is horrible! The dentist is like a pin ball!... going thru 3 rooms/patients... then what's the point in a appointment? Shouldn't a appointment be set to 1 patient?. I was referred to this nightmare from my primary, which I'm sure they do not know their negligence. Long story short... right crown fell off before leaving the facility and I and the one who felt it was not right even after dr. Yee say "he's good to go". Next day my other (left) temporary crown fell out at dinner.I say "temporary"... because crown was different color ...finally got that done with then they say cavities...just love to say how my teeth hurts more then before when chewing. I will never recommend this place and he try to be professional and friendly with a pound but it's kind of unprofessional come to think of it now, when they are taking pictures of your teeth in the middle of the "job" just to show his students at the university he teaches at. read more

Recently switched my insurance and had to find a new dentist. Over a year ago I found a dentist in my network who completely ruined my mouth! After that experience I waited almost a year until I was comfortable with another dentist. Dr. Ye at Avalon dental was the best dentist i've come across thus far! Not only was he adamant about me being comfortable with his dental plan for me, but he showed me everything on my X-ray's, explained the procedure in its entirety to me, and even walked and talked me through it DURING my procedure, so I knew exactly what was being done when it was being done. This you'll appreciate, especially if you're a nervous patient like myself. I had a very tricky root canal done on a molar tooth, Dr. Ye made sure not to start until i was 100% numb (and it takes me a while), I was so appreciative of his patience with me. I was relieved and so relaxed once I knew he was confident and capable of getting the job done. He without a doubt knows what he is doing. I've never been so comfortable with a dentist before. Additionally, Avalon dental practices modern ways of dentistry that have proven to be safer and more effective, Dr.Ye focus' on the integrity of your teeth in order to save and maintain, so it benefits you in the long run!!! The office was clean and followed all CDC guidelines, even had the office to myself for both visits to ensure covid-safety. You're even able to choose between watching netflix or listening to your favorite music to entertain you during the procedure! I can not express how relieved I am that I found Avalon dental.
