I'd been putting it off for some time, maybe cuz i chickened out, but i finally went today and it was FANTASTIC! I've tried several different chiropractors in NYC and this is the first one that I really liked and have already returned to (within 1 month). He was respectful, listened to my issues, treated me and explained everything as he went along. I discovered he did not take my insurance but is working with me to email receipts so I can easily forward them to my insurance company for reimbursement. I went in for chronic lower back pain that had flared up yet again and he treated me for the actual problem (one leg slightly shorter than the other) and gave me a small lift for inside my sneaker. I've felt better wearing it and have gone back for an adjustment just a few weeks after my initial visit. I'd recommend Dr. Lamb - he knows his craft. I have been seeing Dr. Lamb for nearly 3 years now and cannot say enough good things about him. I have gone to other chiropractors in the past and have never had an effective adjustment until Dr. Lamb. I went to see Dr. Lamb due to a taxi accident that I was in and could barely walk much less sit or stand or put on socks without mega pain. My orthopedic doctor was on vacation that week and a friend suggested I see a Chiropractor. I found Dr. Lamb by googling and reading multiple positive reviews. Also, his pricing is by far the best in this city! After 1 session I could walk again and was 80% better. I saw Dr. Lamb once a week for a month and then was pretty much 100%. But then I realized that through the regular adjustments, a lot of chronic issues in my body had lessened, such as PMS, headaches, digestive issues and bloating, as well as physical ailments and tightness from my running and swimming. I now can honestly say that the adjustments calm and ease everything in my body and help me sleep better as well. Dr. Lamb creates a welcome and positive environment where he talks to all of his patients. Some may not like the communal aspect of the waiting area and if it's not for them they are free to go elsewhere and take their negativity with them. This is the first time I've been to a Chiro in NYC but I've been to plenty in Chicago and Florida. I had a rib out of joint that was making it hard for me to breath. This guy is the best. Office is crowded and busy, but it is a warm social atmosphere and he is the NICEST most genuine person you can imagine. Loves his job, clearly cares about helping people, and does a phenomenal adjustment too. I was not sure if chiropractic was for me until I saw Dr. Lamb--and now he's the only chiropractor I'll ever see. Whatever this guy's secret is to being so warm and friendly AND competent while running a busy practice...well, I'd like to learn it! He exudes a spirit of caring and concern about your well-being, and demonstrates a great sense of humor besides. Everyone on his staff has been excellent, too, from the receptionist to the Shiatsu practitioners (Abe and Mori--sp?--both left me blissed out). The treatment area for the adjustments is communal, as some reviewers have pointed out, but it actually has kind of a nice community feel to it; in fact, I'm used to getting community acupuncture, so this works out well for me. There have been minimal waits for treatment and the practice takes my insurance. I can't really say enough good things about my experiences there, if you couldn't tell. My story... I found Lamb Chiropractic here on yelp while looking for some relief of a bad neck pain. I had a massage last week which unfortunately did not help and thought I would give a chiropractor a shot. I called after 6pm (they close at 7pm) and was told I could come in right now if I needed to. I am happy to report I feel much better and will definitely go back regularly for adjustments. After reading a few other reviews it should be noted that Dr. Lamb does disclaim that he can not guarantee your problems will be fixed right away. I have seen Dr. Lamb and Mr. Abe since this August because I had originally lower back pain. My pain slowly faded as I continued the treatment. Dr. Lamb is very attentive, friendly and caring doctor and he really cares about your health. When I had a flu, he recommended some vitamins that I should take and always encourages me to stay healthy. Surprisingly, my menstrual cramp was eased up recently and I believe his treatment helped it too. I was (very) skeptical and afraid about letting anybody "play" with my vertebrae, especially after I had a consultation with another chiropractor who looked definitely like a quack, using complicated specific vocabulary and making a diagnosis without even having examined me, based only on pictures made by his assistant with an ipad(plus asking me to pay $150 for x-rays!)..no way I could trust the guy..then I've found Dr Lamb on yelp, and given the numerous and laudatory reviews I've read on him, I decided to give it a shot..great decision!
