He also takes his time with his patients so you don't feel like your part of an assembly line. Wife and I still to this day have been suffering from neck and back problems that we never had prior to seeing this Chiro. God how I only wish I never decided to spend 40 dollars to see a chiropractor spontaneously to try and get more energy. I wish he said " if you guys feel good, no pain, then i dont see any need for adjustment" but no he took us in cracked our bodies and left us with a loss of life over night. :/ He doesn't know what he is doing no technique and while he may say its specific I'm sure he does that same thing to each individual as thats what we both experienced. I went to Dr L with a Groupon. The office is full of toy sheep/lambs which is quite cute. I wasn't a huge fan of the adjustment but he did suggest a helpful exercise which I did not do. My work involves a lot of travel and is very physical, as a result I have been to many chiropractors around the US and abroad. Found Dr Lamb because he was convenient (being close to grand central), but i have continued going back to him for over 3 years. I am a serious crossfitter and martial artist. I always try to be as safe as i can, but with being active 6 days a week tweaks happen. Dr. Lamb has always been effective with his treatments as a doctor and kind and sympathetic as a human being. I moved to the city recently and was looking for a "good chiroprator". Dr. Lamb really took his time, took lots of notes, asked lots of questions and then gave me numerous adjustments. I was sore the next day but, in a good way. He also takes insurance. I only had to pay my co-pay so it wasn't a fortune. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Lamb. Where to begin? I have been seeing him for over a year on an "as needed" basis. I've seen other chiropractors in the past, but Lamb is by far my favorite. If you've never been to a chiropractor, it can be intimidating. Lamb understands this. Not only does he put you at ease, but he doesn't force anything that's uncomfortable (this is especially nice when it comes to adjustments. I've had previous chiropractors that force the pop and I end up in pain). He has a group room (which can also be intimidating), but if you weren't comfortable with it, I'm sure he'd help you schedule a time when you'd be alone with him. He offers great deals, and has a fantastic masseur on the premises (I like to bundle the massage and adjustment for best results). I'm probably leaving a lot out. Best Chiropractor in the business. Long time reader... first time poster. In fact, I'm finally joining Yelp to write a long overdue review for Dr. Lamb. I have been to quite a few chiropractors in different cities over the years due to some minor scoliosis and general back problems associated with working on laptops and in airplanes, so I have quite a few other doctors to compare against. Dr. Lamb is far and away the best. He always does a full head-to-toe adjustment -- often finding the source of your pain in somewhere other than you might think! He's very professional, but as a repeat customer I have an excellent rapport with him and we act as casual friends. I know I am not the only one, as many others seem to know him quite well and keep coming back. The waiting room does lack privacy, but for us regulars I like the open dialogue. I've been searching for a great chiropractor in NYC for the past 5 years, and I'm thrilled to say I've finally found one. I'm physically very active, teaching cardio fitness classes 6 days a week at night, but also sit at a desk during the day. My daughter, who has a severe chronic pain condition, and I have been seeing Dr. Lamb for almost 3 years. He is nice; he is competent; he is responsive in emergencies; and he is funny! Over the last 35 years I have had experience with mediocre chiropractors, one or two horrors, and four superstars of the healing arts. Dr. Lamb is one of the four superstars, and the only one we've found in NYC. His office is very conveniently located (diagonally across the street from Grand Central). It is also tiny and not private - an entry/receptionist room, a small room used by a massage therapist, and his treatment room which contains 5 chairs in one corner for patients to wait. So the adjustments take place in front of other people if someone else is waiting. Everyone seems to be fine with it and I've met some lovely people in the office. He has two adjustment tables, an inversion machine, a vibrating machine, and a foot and calf massager. People use the various machines before and after getting adjusted. I find that 5 minutes on the vibrating machine loosens me up so that everything seems to move more easily. My daughter usually gets adjusted and then hangs upside down on the inversion machine for 5 or ten minutes. He was incredibly helpful suggesting an excellent herbal supplement that helps with her allergies and in helping her find an inexpensive neck brace. I don't know what Clara M's problem is with Dr. L. He told us when he had his accident last year. He did very few adjustments for a couple of weeks, but until I read her review, I had forgotten he was injured. His competence (many months after he was injured), in my experience, is the same as it has always been - phenomenal and incredibly healing. If you want a wonderful, conveniently located chiropractor, who is in until 7pm three nights a week; who will work with you on cost and help you to maximize your available insurance benefits; who will listen to you and only recommend the number of sessions absolutely necessary; and who will help you to feel GREAT come and try out Lamb Chiropractic. read more
