We had Doug do our inspection and has trust in him as he was recommended by our realtor. We were not able to be present since we were moving cross country and we were buying a home unseen (in person). He found some issues that did end up getting fixed by the seller but the huge one that got missed was mold under the stairs. Greenish fussy mold. We are now having to replace the drywall under the stairs and a few other areas since that under the stairs in also open and connected to the laundry room. read more

My partner and I are first-time homebuyers and ever since our offer was accepted, everything has been moving at lightening speed. Since we have never bought a home before, there were so many unknowns and tasks that had to happen, and not a lot of time to thoroughly choose all of the companies to use, etc. Our realtor suggested Lambert Home Inspections because he has used them many times for his clients. It was a great decision! Our offer was accepted on a Tuesday and our realtor ordered an inspection through them for the upcoming Saturday. They arrived at the house earlier than us and finished reviewing the outside before we arrived. They were inside when we arrived and immediately told us what the inspection day would look like -- where they were going to inspect and what they were doing step-by-step. The process consisted of a team of three inspectors, all of whom were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The last time we bought a house (some 10 years ago), the inspection consisted of only one inspector who completed all documentation by hand, which needless to say was slow and time-consuming.
