Got sausage, eggs ,hash brown, toast. So I got the toast first then in a few minutes the rest came out. Sausage was burt on one side yet raw in the middle the eggs were cold and the whites still runny. Hash browns were cold. The cook needs some training I think. Not sure about a second try. read more

I came in with my son on Saturday for brunch. I had the #13 a Lambert's Benny and my son decided on Lunch and ordered the Mother Clucker spicy chicken sandwich. My son literally devoured the burger! He said it was really good. He really enjoyed the sidewinder fries and the onion rings too. I had the eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns. I enjoyed it. Best Huevos rancheros I've ever had. Absolutely incredible. The chorizo was perfectly spiced, beans, perfectly cooked, beautiful avocado on top. Poor Customer Service and an Unnecessarily Hostile Management Response. We waited over 15 minutes to be seated and were initially helped by a server who was apologetic and trying to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the situation became unnecessarily frustrating when a second server mistakenly assumed we were waiting for a table for eight and told us it would be a while. She then proceeded to seat another party that had arrived after us and had been waiting less than three minutes. The frustrating part is that this was their mistake, not ours. We had already explained that we were perfectly happy being split into two tables of four. We were simply trying to get seated and enjoy our meal. We were understandably frustrated, but we were not rude to the staff. Instead of clarifying what had happened, the manager immediately approached us and said, "We can't have somebody being rude to my servers." That was an incredibly condescending way to handle a customer complaint--particularly when the manager had apparently not taken the time to understand the situation. There is a big difference between defending your employees and automatically assuming the customer is the problem. A better manager response would have been something along the lines of, "I'm sorry for the confusion. Let me find out what happened and see how we can fix it." That would have de-escalated the situation immediately. Instead, we were made to feel as though we were the inconvenience and, frankly, as though we weren't welcome there. That is not good hospitality. Mistakes happen. Tables get backed up. Restaurants get busy. None of that is the issue. The issue is how management handles those mistakes when a customer is understandably frustrated. Hopefully this specific Lambert Cafe employee or maybe owner- takes this as constructive feedback: listen before assuming, clarify before accusing, and remember that defending your staff does not require disrespecting your customers. For us, the experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning. A restaurant can recover from a seating mistake. It is much harder to recover from making customers feel unwelcome when the mistake was made by the restaurant in the first place. read more

Came here for one thing only. French toast. I like an old school french toast none of that fancy stuff. It's really hard to mess it up. So I came here because I heard theirs was good. Delicious! 5 of us had breakfast here this morning. The food was delicious! I had chicken fried steak with eggs over easy. Nice piece of tender beef deep cried crispy with a nice milk sausage gravy poured over the top the country potatoes were ok but when mixed into the gravy and popped yolks of the eggs, they were delicious! Two people had the avocado toast, one had the breakfast burrito and the last had steak and eggs. Everyone liked their meal. Please see pictures and let your eyes feast! The decorations of the restaurant are very comfy and friendly feeling. The service was good, but lacking just a bit in friendliness. Coming from the Bay Area I always look forward to visiting small private owned restaurants. They are generally more friendly and welcoming than the chain restaurants. You can't miss it when passing by cute planters outside with string outdoor lights. Cute simple design which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. As soon as you walk in it's loud but a nice loud. You hear people talking with voices of enjoyment and music. There is a sign to sign in on a line paper note pad and wait to be seated. While waiting there's a menu on the wall so you can look at what you want while waiting. On the shelf to sign in there are local businesses and games and fun things for the kiddos. There are booths, bar stool table, tables for two, and tables for bigger parties. The menu is specific and has something for everyone, Very diverse. I was feeling like a simple small breakfast and there was a lovely selection for someone feeling more peckish than looking for a full meal. Which simplified it for me. Drink menu had so many nice options and there's a cute non-alcoholic Mommy mimosa which I was feeling like treating myself this morning so I asked and the waitress was very sweet, and attentive. Gave me a lovely recommendation for a sweet mimosa and it was perfect. Avocado toast was great every thing so fresh and egg made nicely. There were so many great raving reviews and this place did not disappoint. Even your simple very day coffee was delicious. Even though it was loud it was not disturbing I was able to read my book and make my notes in peace ( but I also have six kids at home so that could just be me) haha. Lambert House Cafe is a homey, eclectic cafe with cute decor everywhere. Our waitress was friendly and our food came fast. My egg white omelette was fluffy and filled with spinach, mushrooms and onions. It was served with perfectly cooked crispy hash browns. I subbed my toast for a sourdough pancake. Absolutely NOT dog friendly! Waitress blamed me for not letting her know I had a service dog, not a pet dog. I was made to feel very, very uncomfortable. The whole idea of the ADA federal law was to prevent interactions like this. Flash and I weren't welcome inside the restaurant. read more

Have visited lamberts several times and have always been a fan, today 8/3/26 we wasted 1.5 hours of our day and will no longer be returning to Lamberts. We were seated right away and didn't get menus or any sort of service for the first 15 minutes. Finally we were greeted and asked for a drink order, we then asked for menus. Our kids received their drinks with lids on and no straws so they took their lids off to drink them, they finally came back for our order and we asked for straws for their cups, at this point we heard the family next to us complaining that they had been waiting over 30 mins for their food to come. We continued on, played some card games and the kids food came out, the server then explained to us that the cook made my husbands food wrong and they were remaking our food. At this point our kids were already done with their pancakes and we weren't willing to wait another 20 mins for our food so we requested that they cancel it. We spent 1.5 hours in there, left with only half of us fed, and they didn't even discount our bill. There was zero communication the entire time, never once offered a refill on our drinks, never once "sorry about the wait" until we requested to cancel our food. Oh my!! Upon entering this establishment I noticed a terrible smell- burning old vegetable oil. But my party sat down because we had always had good service before. Then we started looking at each other in amazement- the song playing loudly was in fact profanity and lewd language about the abuse of a woman and was encouraging the behavior to listeners. The service has been pretty mediocre now when we come in, when it's the mom and daughter working we can hardly get menus or even acknowledged for drinks without waiting for longer than 5 minutes. When we came in there were only 3 tables of a party of 2 already almost finished up plates pretty slow. We sat waiting at the door for at least for 4 minutes to start barely acknowledged. Normally I don't mind because I'm a server my self and understand. We haven't been back for a while because of the service alone, the food is always great but I can't help but to sit and be treated poorly with an expected tip. I was not disappointed, every visit is awesome, the staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious I definitely will keep coming back for more. This hole in the wall place is kind of unique in every way. The food was very good and the prices are average fair and reasonable compared to all other places. What I have loved the most is that you get a pleasurable smiles and greetings upon entering through the front door. You always get the feeling that your so glad you ate at Lamberts cafe.
