Tri Tip sandwich with fries
Rita A.

Met a friend for dinner. I was greeted and seated by the Manager, April. The staff was very welcoming and gave me a few minutes before I ordered. I decided on the Tri Tip sandwich. The meat was cooked well and very tender. The dipping sauce was nicely seasoned and all the condiments such as lettuce, onion, tomato, were served on the side. I had a side of fries and they too were seasoned well. We opted for dessert and coffee afterwards. The banana pie was delicious and not too sweet at all. I didn't try the pecan but my friend said it was delicious also. A overall good experience.

This place doesn't mess around with their portions MY GOD The menu here is huge you'll find something for everyone without a doubt Star of the show for me personally was the French toast cinnamon roll, the potato skins, and the French fries. Mind you everything we ate here was great! Mimosas are poured strong and the Shirley temples come PACKED with cherries Biscuits and gravy was enough to give five people a serving each [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place feels like a warm hug from a couple of country livin grandparents[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had steak and the kiddies had French roast. We experienced friendly service and prompt service.

Sourdough burger was good. Added lettuce (not sure if charged). Wish it came with a pickle slice. Will ask next time.

It's been a while since I last visited, but I actually really like this place! I don't mind going back over and over again, and it might even be my second go-to spot if I can't get into Huckleberry, haha. The server was super nice, and the food was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is decently clean, and I noticed they've added more items to the menu, which is nice--though the menu is quite large, so it can feel a bit overwhelming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do wish they had a really good iced tea like Huckleberry, but overall, I really enjoyed the food and spending time there with my husband..

Visited March 10th..see my receipt. This is the first time visiting Lumberjacks in Yuba City. My friend and I got there at 1103am so missed their specials by 3 minutes! Their specials are from 7am to 11am weekdays. They have an extensive menu with plenty of parking. I got a huge omelet with biscuits and gravy. It was decent and the gravy wasn't salty but WAY too big for my 130 pound frame! (Leftovers! ). My friend got the senior breakfast with bacon and hash browns and toast. Bacon was curled up and not crispy as ordered. Just average. Because I take pictures of my receipts I noticed she overcharged for the senior breakfast and she said it was egg surcharge. None of the menu items had been changed on the menu so BEWARE! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is cutely decorated like other Lumberjack restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waitress was nice. Food came out quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Other complaint was the ladies bathroom and stalls were VERY dirty and not a good reflection of the restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They also have beer and wine and some outdoor seating. This location is probably my least fav of this chain.

Came in for breakfast. We were seated right away. Everyone was very pleasant and the service was very good. Lloyd our server was awesome. The portions were big with the food came out quick and hot. The prices were very decent. Good place to come for a nice casual breakfast with good food.

Chicken Fried Black Angus Steak. Husband said it was pretty good.

Tried lumberjacks in Yuba City. Has the feel of a chain restaurant like black bear. The portion size are gigantic. Food was OK but I was hoping for better. It was a little on the bland side. No seasoning on the potatoes. I did get a sampler plate which allowed me to try the pancakes, French toast, and a cinnamon roll that was also cooked like French toast. All three were amazing. Pink lemonade was pretty good . The spice was pretty busy, they had a lot of staff walking around, but not paying attention to any of the customers or the tables really. My husband would have liked more coffee, but the lady walked by four times without acknowledging us.

Weird place can't get a person to get your drinks let alone a server when the place is lightly booked. When there is a line to be seated the service is spot on. Servers fast n friendly when they are busy, what gives? Waited 8 minutes to get water.Hostess never told our waitress we were seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only 2 other tables in our seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seriously only got drinks after I called a relative and asked how long is polite to wait for no response until leaving and the hostess overheard. We received our drinks and the waitress finally looked our way and was surprised to see us. Seriously. Just disappointed. My guest said his pot roast was good as usual. I didn't order anything for I was too embarrassed that I had recommended this place for Father's Day dinner.

It's been 4 years since I've visited and the service is still top notch 10 out of 10. I believe I have the same exact server as four years ago....Diana... by the was is absolutely amazing. I love this place and the customer service. If I didn't live so far away. I think I would come here every few days. Portions are huge, reasonably priced or for the portion I would say underpriced and you he food is good.

The food is your basic American diner restaurant. The food was descent but nothing was like woah. I enjoyed my chicken fried steak but my boyfriend was not impressed with their breakfast burrito.

Visited March 7th. Ordered on line so see my receipt on the bag…read more This is a very cool and casual place in Yuba City. Tastefully decorated inside. I ordered to go but they have an outside covered area that allows your fur babies!!! I was able to bring my puppy out to the enclosed area with his carrier. So hard to find places that allow dogs ( except Grass Valley..totally cool!). I ordered the Thai shrimp...chicken lollipops and parm chicken wings. All to go ( Ordered ahead ). Because they were not busy outside we ordered a beer and nibbled on the appetizers. My puppy loved it! My fav is the Thai shrimp! Love the sauce on them along with the coleslaw. It was a Great experience again and the Petes blonde ale was delicious! Good portions as well! Great service! If you like sports they have plenty of tvs to watch throughout the restaurant! So ambiance was expected, quiet, slow, empty. Ordered Ahi Tuna - the Asian salad was better than the Tuna. Sear the Tuna harder, reduce the salt on your spice mix, you're taking away from the fish. Let the tuna speak. Ordered the Margherita flatbread - Served with Ranch? Com'on Had a whole half leaf of basil on it too. Chiffonade the Basil. Took a bite and BAM!, at least throw San Marzano tomatoes on there. This is Basic Italian. Either the right tomato or the right mozzarella quality, choose one, makes a world of difference. Service was as good as you can expect, no complaints there. The server seemed either overwhelmed, or overworked. Likely the latter, running a skeleton crew to save money only works for a few months then you get a negative feedback loop in hiring and training costs. Do Better. New management? Focus on your team, absorb the costs, eventually one will fail, the team or the cost. Money is recoverable, people are not.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Maryville (at 1st & D St's), and next to the Chinese "Bok Kai Temple", this longstanding and well known restaurant/saloon/hotel has been in operation dating way back to 1858 when the peak of the gold rush era was thriving in California. Over the years, the upstairs hotel (a.k.a. "The Grand Hotel") was once a brothel amongst various operations before becoming a permanent hotel for guests to stay. Meanwhile the downstairs has served as a full-size bar complete with a ton of American comfort food to choose from on their extensive menu. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 7/19/2025 at around 4:30pm. Since this was during the 25th annual "Marysville Peach Festival", there was a ton of customers and locals visiting during my visit. Surprisingly, parking was easy to find as I parked directly outside of the building. Once inside, you are immediately drawn to the nostalgic wooden interior. From the looks of it, not much has changed here over the years complete with vintage sepia chandeliers, huge brick ovens, taxidermy displays of various animals, and everything else that represented the wild wild west. Their menu is extensive and has just about all of the stick-to-your-ribs food you can ask for. This includes a ton of appetizers (poppers, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc.) as well as a nice variety of main course entrées that include sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, pastas, and much more. And since you're in a saloon, they offer all of the top whiskies, bourbons and brandies as well as a ton of beer on tap. Keep in mind that they are closed on Monday & Tuesday but open for business Wed/Thu and Sunday from 11am-8pm and Fri/Sat from 11am-9pm. After narrowing down what I wanted, I finally settled with their "French Dip" sandwich. This was a traditional and classic sandwich complete with their smoked roast beef w/Swiss cheese & mayonnaise on a hoagie roll with a side of Au Jus sauce. I opted with home fries as my side and a Coke to drink. I also ordered a starter appetizer which was their crispy "Chicken Tenders". Our server was very attentive as my +1 and I sat on a quieter side of the restaurant (near the windows). Total time took around 25 minutes to get our food; not a big deal considering this place was absolutely packed with customers. Overall, my French Dip was delicious and filling. They were generous with the thin sliced roast beef while there was the perfect amount of cheese. The au jus had the right amount of consistency as each bite hit the spot. However, the chicken tenders were just so-so as there was too much breading on the exterior. And considering these were $16.95 for 4 tenders, it was quite a bit on the pricier side. I don't want to knock this place too much but I did see quite a bit of flies by our table. But I do realize that some of these things are beyond their control with as busy as it was. All in all, the "Silver Dollar Saloon" is a good place for small and large gatherings. The service was excellent while we got filled up during our visit. My rating, an above average four stars.
