Lumberjacks Restaurant has a hearty 1 pound Big Redwood Burger for manly men that burn it off chopping wood all day. For the rest of us, they have containers, so we can take our leftovers home. I took a stab at that 1 pound baddie, and had to take half of it home it was so big. It had a bun the size of a diner plate and was packed with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onions. It was really good and needless to say filling. The fries were alright, but could have used a little more time in the grease tank. A few were slightly undercooked. The restaurant is clean inside and has a rustic feel to it. The staff recognized me right away and brought me water, and a menu quickly. I've been coming to Lumberjack for years, and it has always been one of my favorite places to enjoy a great breakfast. All the times I've been to Lumberjacks, their food has been very good! My favorite is definitely the BLT!! Alongside their pancakes, their eggs and sausage within the breakfast menu are also very good! Appetizer favorites for me are definitely the mozzarella sticks and the potato skins!! And their ranch is also very good. I for one absolutely love their desserts!! The chocolate cake slice with vanilla ice cream is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! Make sure to get the cake slice warm as it enhances its pairing with the ice cream very, very well!! I suggest coming here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND dessert!! read more

Met a friend for dinner. I was greeted and seated by the Manager, April. The staff was very welcoming and gave me a few minutes before I ordered. I decided on the Tri Tip sandwich. The meat was cooked well and very tender. The dipping sauce was nicely seasoned and all the condiments such as lettuce, onion, tomato, were served on the side. I had a side of fries and they too were seasoned well. We opted for dessert and coffee afterwards. The banana pie was delicious and not too sweet at all. I don't mind going back over and over again, and it might even be my second go-to spot if I can't get into Huckleberry, haha. The server was super nice, and the food was good. Visited March 10th..see my receipt. This is the first time visiting Lumberjacks in Yuba City. My friend and I got there at 1103am so missed their specials by 3 minutes! Their specials are from 7am to 11am weekdays. They have an extensive menu with plenty of parking. I got a huge omelet with biscuits and gravy. It was decent and the gravy wasn't salty but WAY too big for my 130 pound frame! (Leftovers! ). My friend got the senior breakfast with bacon and hash browns and toast. Bacon was curled up and not crispy as ordered. Just average. Because I take pictures of my receipts I noticed she overcharged for the senior breakfast and she said it was egg surcharge. None of the menu items had been changed on the menu so BEWARE! The place is cutely decorated like other Lumberjack restaurants. Waitress was nice. Food came out quickly. Other complaint was the ladies bathroom and stalls were VERY dirty and not a good reflection of the restaurant. They also have beer and wine and some outdoor seating. Tried lumberjacks in Yuba City. Has the feel of a chain restaurant like black bear. The portion size are gigantic. Food was OK but I was hoping for better. It was a little on the bland side. No seasoning on the potatoes. I did get a sampler plate which allowed me to try the pancakes, French toast, and a cinnamon roll that was also cooked like French toast. All three were amazing. Pink lemonade was pretty good . The spice was pretty busy, they had a lot of staff walking around, but not paying attention to any of the customers or the tables really. Weird place can't get a person to get your drinks let alone a server when the place is lightly booked. When there is a line to be seated the service is spot on. Servers fast n friendly when they are busy, what gives? Waited 8 minutes to get water.Hostess never told our waitress we were seated. Only 2 other tables in our seating area. Seriously only got drinks after I called a relative and asked how long is polite to wait for no response until leaving and the hostess overheard. We received our drinks and the waitress finally looked our way and was surprised to see us. Seriously. Just disappointed. My guest said his pot roast was good as usual. The food is decent but what keeps my family and I coming back week after week is April, I believe she is staff supervisor but she is literally the reason we go to Lumberjacks. She was out for a while and we had other servers and stopped going until we had heard she was back. Shes amazing to our kids and always treats us really good. The service specifically from her is better than anyone we've ever had anywhere else. Without her I doubt Lumberjacks would even stay in business. read more

I visited for a weekday lunch. The server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the turkey melt. I was asked if I wanted seasoned fries or regular fries. The server did a good job explaining, that the seasoned fries are pre-seasoned like a fast food curly fry. I got the regular fries which were fresh and perfectly cooked but definitely needed salt. Went Monday morning for breakfast, it was OK. Went tonight, (Wednesday) for dinner, huge mistake. Ordered two coffees. They were cold and asked for fresh coffee. Server said she would make a new pot. When it came she poured it into my wife's half cup of cold coffee. I had to ask for her to pour my cold coffee out and give me fresh coffee. Both new cups had grounds floating in them. I ordered fish and chips. My fries were cold. I asked for hot fries and she said she would get them. Fish was hot but lacked flavor, cold slaw was good. Hot fries didn't come until we were finished with our meal, she had to clean up food all over the floor in the back. I guess it was more important than customers. I wanted to express my concern, but the Assistant Manager was busy with the table near us with their concerns about the quality of their order. There are other restaurants near this one that we will go to after our next Doctors appointment in Yuba City. This one is off our list. read more

I got an order of Flapjacks and was shocked at how amazing these were. I LOVE a good pancake and am usually pleased with Huckleberry's pancakes. But, now I'm fully converted to being the #1 Lumberjack's Flapjacks fan. My dad also got the Country Fried Steak breakfast special (I think?) and LOVED it. Service is also amazing.
