We had a drug representative come to our hospital and he provided us lunch for his presentation. This was the first time I've tried AJ's and I had a turkey sandwich. It was okay, granted it was a simple sandwich, overall it was okay. However I have NOT been to the restaurant, I will definitely take a trip to check it out. I looked at the menu and there are some items I do want to try. I will do another review with the full experience, stay tuned.

"The Leak" Pastrami sandwich with melted Swiss and over easy egg. Side of fries.

First time trying this place. Ordered online for a quick dinner while staying in town for an event. Was hot & ready when I got there. Huge pastrami and Swiss sandwich called The Leak. Pastrami was thick cut, Swiss was melted, had a sunny side up runny egg on it....it was the ! Fries were crispy and hot perfect for soaking up anything that tripped from the sandwich. Great service, cool little spot in a corner of a shopping center. This will be a go to place for when I'm in town!

Food was great, sandwiches are BIG! We got our sandwiches on the dutch crunch break it was super good. Fries are soft inside and crispy on the outside. Service was quick. The restaurant is cute and u can write on the outside walls with chalk which is cool.

This was the "I'LL HAVE WHAT THEY'RE HAVING" sandwich

We stopped for lunch at AJ's sandwiches on our drive south through Yuba City, and it was a good choice. Of course during the noon hour, it was pretty packed... lots of people standing around waiting for their orders, staff running around behind the counter, etc. We were not greeted, so we helped ourselves to the self-service kiosk. I ordered the "I'LL HAVE WHAT THEY'RE HAVING" and, funny enough, my boyfriend ordered the same. Inside of the restaurant, it was uncomfortably smoky from the burger grill (really poor ventilation!) so I waited outside... and the wait was long. I guess neither of us knew the sandwiches were going to come out warm & melty, so that kind of explains the extra time. The sammies were good (great bread, nice toppings, very light on the protein) but I would've taken a cold version with a shorter wait time. I don't live here, so I likely won't be back, but it was a better-than-fast-food option on our road trip!

4/5 Ambiance- They have cool chalk walls for customers to write on. There's also an indoor and outdoor option. 3/5 Customer service- Neutral attitude. Not friendly nor rude. 3/5 Food- My sandwich "the Ex Lover" was good but a little too spicy. I asked them to put the spicy sauce on the side but they didn't. It was a bit much and took away from the sandwich. Price points were good. I would recommend this spot. I only had one sandwich but they had several options including hamburgers.

If you have ever been interested in having a burger on a Dutch crunch roll you have arrived at the right place... Came here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty however that is no indication of how good the food is here. There's a reason people were ordering take out from a sandwich spot at 8pm and we were blessed to found out why. The two cooks were very accommodating even at the end of the night. We ordered two options, the Bike Mike Sandwich and the Mr. Spice Burger, both on Dutch crunch with a side of fries. They were phenomenal. Fresh ingredients, the bread was still good because they warm it up and cook in house. The portion sizes were huge, definitely enough for my wife and I to have leftovers the next day and have a good fill while we dined in. The atmosphere is like the inside of a school cafeteria with the table set up and the chalkboard decor everywhere but we liked it. It's definitely no frills but you're coming here for the food. Bussing your own tables after a hearty flavorful meal hardly feels like a chore in this joint. We will definitely be coming back to this spot. Be sure to check out their weekly specials as you'll definitely get a deal.

Love this place!!! Always great food and huge portions!!! The Leak is my favorite, but honestly everything I've had has been amazing

From the moment I walked in. Vibes were off. Got looked at like "tf do you want" no one said a word tho. Dude walked away from registered started making food. About 10 mins later I got approached and looked at again. As if to say "tf do you want" I order. Then I got a sandwich that got slapped together worst than a Mcds cheeseburger. Had more toppings on top of the bread than inside the sandwich. Was starving and in a rush so I said the heck with it. Once home I threw up the whole thing. ‍

    Undercooked meat Half Mr.Spice

Usually when I eat here the food is amazing, however this time the meat on my girlfriends sandwich was severely undercooked. It is almost raw. I am honestly disgusted by this as I order from here on a regular basis, the food is delicious yes, but this is just unacceptable.

So I had always heard amazing things about the food here, so I brought my dad, who is a burger connoisseur. We came about 2pm on a Sunday hoping for a late lunch - well, so did a lot of other people. Problem 1 they had two people working (2 more eventually came an hour later). Food took incredibly long to get out. There was a lot of confusion with our order (two people with the same name). Food was given and then taken away... always awkward for everyone. We finally got our food and realized the burgers didn't come with fries (we did miss the sign our fault). However, our bill was $50+ for two burgers, a veggy sandwich, and two sodas - at least for the wait and food mix-up could of tossed in some fries. Well, now to the food - veggy sandwich was good, but it had too much salt. Both hamburgers were burnt with a chemically tasting char - like half of both burgers got thrown away. The pastrami (we had to dig because you could not find it at first) on the burger was like bacon hard and crispy, not lush and juicy. The pulled pork actually had a decent taste and really became a pork sandwich since the hamburger pa was not edible. We would have sent the food back but feared it would be another hour before being replaced. The staff was so busy trying to get stuff out that, obviously, quality control was not on their minds. I did feel bad for the two because they were working hard. I would like to give the place one more shot, but for $20 for a sandwich and a drink (and then it not be good) would be a hard sell to get me back.

I've never had a pastrami sandwich with literally one slice of meat... also it didn't cover the whole sandwich. I felt a little ripped off.

My fiancée and her mom had been raving about this place so I was super excited to try it. They were correct in telling me that the beef is fresh not frozen, fries and onion rings are some of the best around. Batter was really good on the onion rings. Fries crispy and tasted like real potatoes. The restaurant itself is new age decor with a couple TV's on the wall and seating for around 30 people. Clean bathroom as well. Burgers, chicken sandwiches and tenders, milkshakes and even cheesesteaks are all on the menu. I went with the bourbon burger. Came with bacon, cheese, onion rings and a special sauce. The meat itself was cooked great. Great flavor for sure. But the sauce was super tangy. It became a distraction and I didn't like it. I was also given the burger without the bacon which they quickly rectified but the bacon wasn't crispy and more of the floppy consistency, not great for burgers. The order to get here is the Classic burger which is a double cheese burger and the onion rings. That's what my family got, and they were in heaven. They love this place so we will undoubtedly be back. I'll leave another review upon that visit.

This burger, sorry say, compared to In n Out Burger - The Double Burger at In n Out is the better, juicier burger. The Fries The fries at Magna were better quality fries than the typical In n Out potato fries. However, after a few minutes of eating the fries somehow went stale and turned chewy. Service I'm not sure but I think the owner, the only person there working, put my order together. He put up a sign up at the counter, saying that he was prepping an order and he'd be back in a few minutes. I believe the service and courtesy I got from owner was generally good. "We'll refund your money." I think there was a sign at the counter, stating that if you were not satisfied with the order, that you'd get your money back. With the initial positive reviews that brought me over to Magna's, I was too embarrassed for the new business and basically walked away. I no longer believe those short, overly positive reviews. Good service, Badly prepped product. Not my FIRST choices but I feel that McDonalds and In n Out put out better burgers than Magna.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Maryville (at 1st & D St's), and next to the Chinese "Bok Kai Temple", this longstanding and well known restaurant/saloon/hotel has been in operation dating way back to 1858 when the peak of the gold rush era was thriving in California. Over the years, the upstairs hotel (a.k.a. "The Grand Hotel") was once a brothel amongst various operations before becoming a permanent hotel for guests to stay. Meanwhile the downstairs has served as a full-size bar complete with a ton of American comfort food to choose from on their extensive menu. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 7/19/2025 at around 4:30pm. Since this was during the 25th annual "Marysville Peach Festival", there was a ton of customers and locals visiting during my visit. Surprisingly, parking was easy to find as I parked directly outside of the building. Once inside, you are immediately drawn to the nostalgic wooden interior. From the looks of it, not much has changed here over the years complete with vintage sepia chandeliers, huge brick ovens, taxidermy displays of various animals, and everything else that represented the wild wild west. Their menu is extensive and has just about all of the stick-to-your-ribs food you can ask for. This includes a ton of appetizers (poppers, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc.) as well as a nice variety of main course entrées that include sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, pastas, and much more. And since you're in a saloon, they offer all of the top whiskies, bourbons and brandies as well as a ton of beer on tap. Keep in mind that they are closed on Monday & Tuesday but open for business Wed/Thu and Sunday from 11am-8pm and Fri/Sat from 11am-9pm. After narrowing down what I wanted, I finally settled with their "French Dip" sandwich. This was a traditional and classic sandwich complete with their smoked roast beef w/Swiss cheese & mayonnaise on a hoagie roll with a side of Au Jus sauce. I opted with home fries as my side and a Coke to drink. I also ordered a starter appetizer which was their crispy "Chicken Tenders". Our server was very attentive as my +1 and I sat on a quieter side of the restaurant (near the windows). Total time took around 25 minutes to get our food; not a big deal considering this place was absolutely packed with customers. Overall, my French Dip was delicious and filling. They were generous with the thin sliced roast beef while there was the perfect amount of cheese. The au jus had the right amount of consistency as each bite hit the spot. However, the chicken tenders were just so-so as there was too much breading on the exterior. And considering these were $16.95 for 4 tenders, it was quite a bit on the pricier side. I don't want to knock this place too much but I did see quite a bit of flies by our table. But I do realize that some of these things are beyond their control with as busy as it was. All in all, the "Silver Dollar Saloon" is a good place for small and large gatherings. The service was excellent while we got filled up during our visit. My rating, an above average four stars.
