Visited July 18 2026. See my receipt as always. After a nice swim very early this morning I thought I would get a light breakfast at this cute place in Yuba City! First of all they are always busy! They have alot of specials ( especially mid week). I sat up at the bar area since I didn't need to sit at a big table! I ordered scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and homemade potatoes plus rye swirl toast. Everything was great and loved the crispness of the potatoes! Of course I had leftovers for my ice chest..lol! They also have a full bar and make specialty cocktails. KRISTAL was a delight with fast and friendly service! I noticed there is alot of regulars that knew the staff. WOW FACTOR? Yes. Exciting atmosphere with lots of people enjoying themselves. 5 stars. HAVE AGAIN: The Beef Dip was just good; not delicious as in the past. I always had this for lunch at Caffe Italia in Davis (long gone). But now, I'll try other items in the future. read more

Wednesdays are our favorite day to go for lunch because of their lunch special. You can't go wrong with the pasta kaboom especially at $15.99!!! Always on point with a nice kick! And we always order the chicken wings-sweet Thai flavor! They are to die for! I call it the crack wings! No others can compete or compare! I returned to Dancing Tomato Café on Thursday, December 18th with some colleagues for a unit gathering brunch. I was slightly hesitant, but I agreed to give the place another try. I ended up ordering their Breakfast 222 platter, which comes with one pancake, one French toast, one over‑easy egg, one scrambled egg, and some protein. I will say that the experience today was far better than what I had in the past. I have no problem giving a solid 4‑star rating this time. For breakfast, they're definitely someone to contend with. I'll probably be back to try their dinner service again--hopefully it has improved as well. So stay tuned. read more

Everything tastes like it's made from scratch- for lunch we normally have the same thing- the Cafe Combo Pizza, Steak Sandwich, and Creamy Chicken Soup ( soup of day ob Monday), today we decided to add the meatballs & creamy Polenta on the Appetizer menu- WOW! Popped in on a Friday night. They have a small waiting area and took a bit to get seated but they were very apologetic. They seated us and they have it covered with brown paper and have a can of crayons so you can color and doodle or whatever. Great for kids. We waited a bit to get our orders and a waitress came over to ask if anyone had helped us and when we said no she said she would take our order. They looked a little short staffed but we're still maintaining. The food came out at a decent time and it was all hot which was good. The food all had good flavor and good portions for the price. When we left it looked like they had quite a bit waiting. My husband got the chicken Parmesan and he said it was good besides the chicken sitting on a bunch of mushrooms. The lasagna was good and cheesy with lots of flavor. My daughter had the Hawaiian pizza as that was really good loaded with a lot of toppings. read more

Parking was good, ambience and cleanliness was nice. Regina was our server. She was polite and checked in several times to see if we needed water or how our meal was going. We will give it a try another time. My pastrami sandwiches was simple, plain and small. My wife ordered a pasta dish It was a generous portion but it too was bland and tomatoes overcooked and waterlogged. Way too watery. 2 happy hour drinks, 2 glasses of Water and main course $77 With tip. I signed up for loyalty program and try hard to give places a couple of tries in hopes I can recommend for others. So for now. Flip a coin to make the decision. Next time I eat there I'll provide an honest update. Sorry I can't recommend to stop off highway 20 to eat here. read more

Totally awesome! Our waitress Regina was a delight to take care of us. The food outstanding, fresh plentiful and presented well. I told my wife the restaurant reminded me of the Italian cottage that used to be in Davis found out this one is owned by one of the brothers. Desert Chocolate Lasagna Supreme was awesome found out it's made fresh in house dairy even if you don't have time for dinner get this desert 5stars. We will be going back we live about 35 minutes away but having staff like Regina and awesome food make this a worth while trip. Ate there with two companions. One had the eggplant Parmesan and side salad. Generous portion of eggplant Parmesan. Second one had a shrimp pasta that looked good. I had the chicken Thai salad. I guess I thought there would be more rice noodles? It should have like a cooked noodle of some kind I'm my opinion. I forgot to ask for the side of chopped peanuts. It was good but not that satisfying. The ambience is cute, it's really a family style restaurant though a lot of babies it's loud it's not a chill place to relax and enjoy a meal. Waitress was really on top of things. Would I come back? I don't know. I'm still looking for a place in Yuba City that I can sit back have a drink. Have a good meal and enjoy. read more

My family and I are becoming regulars here. Anytime we are hungry and just don't have it in us to cook, we come here. However it isn't just so that we can have a home cooked meal but a TASTY home cooked meal that can fit large parties. Coming in recently, the staff is not only quick and efficient, they are patient. What means the most to me is when they are patient with children and that means the world to us. The whole restaurant makes me feel like I'm at home. If you haven't been here and you're reading this, considering whether to go here or somewhere else, just come here. we went there a couple of months ago and the service was terrible it took 45 minutes to get our drink order so we didn't bother to order a meal ...gave them another chance last weekend and it was great ! got our beverage in 5 minutes and our food order was timely also..and the French toast was awesome! just shows you any business has a bad day... read more

Ordered a KaBoom Pasta that costed 27 dollars. The sauce was too runny. Barely any chicken. At over priced in my opinion

Came here for lunch around 1pm or so. We were seated right away. TONS of seating! For small parties or intimate. It was just me and my husband so we got seated at a booth. Our server was Kaleigh and she was a doll! Great service. Polite. Friendly and even gave me a great suggestion on the menu. And her suggestion was right cause I loved what I ordered. Was so yummy The place itself is super cute. Pictures on every wall. Humor. Cozy vibes I ordered the country rustic penne pasta which was delicious! I would definitely order again. I grew up in the area and came often back in the day. I was in town and decided to get it for take out. I love that they have car-side takeout, they bring it to you and you don't need to get out your car! The food tastes just like I remember. They have always had good food and it is always consistent in flavor, as well as good service when I have dined in. They have a big menu to choose from. Have never been for breakfast. We ordered the fried zucchini. I wish I had this in the restaurant because by the time we got it home, it was a bit cold. But it is a fried food so that was my fault for ordering. On the menu it mentioned it came with ranch dipping, but nothing was in the box. I ordered the vegetarian spaghetti with a side salad. The pasta sauce is very flavourful and has a ton of veggies! The side salad was pretty basic, but with delicious housemate Italian dressing. This came with garlic bread which was very tasty, but a big tough. Though, it could be from taking it to go and not eating it fresh out of the oven. My grandma ordered their Thai chicken salad. This is her favorite here, she loves the flavor of all the ingredients and dressing. She said it was excellent and full of flavor! read more

This venue is such a vibe. Thank you Dancing Tomato Caffe Management and team. You honestly did your best to help my mom a successful Retirement Dinner Awesome. Food didn't take too long to be delivered from ordering to being given to us. At best, prolly less than 20min of wait time until our yummy food arrive to the table. Pros: -Friendly Staff, PLEASE TIP WELL especially if you have a huge group. Your waitress + extra staff to help the waiter assigned to your party worked extremely hard to meet your expectations or at least exceed your expectations on your visit. -Reservation is needed for more than 5+ people, preferably at least 3-4 calendar days in advance. -Military Discount is given, if you ask! -Able to bring your own decorations to decorate your table/room except no confetti allowed as it makes a huge mess. -Plenty of parking available. -Next to a gas station to Sam's Club if you run out of gas when visiting from out of town, just make sure to refuel before 6pm on Sundays to be safe, and 8pm on Saturdays. They actually close one hour later for both days, but just in case if the line is long, this gives you an hr to make it before the pumps shuts off at the exact time. Namm sayinn.. -Great place for a date night/prom night dinner/anniversary and such. -Great portion sizes! Kid sizes are for kids only! Senior portions are for seniors only! Just take it to go if you can't finish it yo. :) Cons: -Not a lot. Now the question is, will I be back? HELL YEAHHHHHHH! I enjoyed my breakfast, lunch, and dinner + service given to me. Lots of customers, and along our route, so gave it a try. Should have looked here at Yelp first. Just spent $40 for a really mediocre lunch. The calamari was okay, at least not too greasy. The $23 eggplant parmigiana was sadly disappointing. Too much breading, too little cheese, a pitiful pile of ziti with a sauce with CANNED MUSHROOMS! Seriously? In a restaurant?! This restaurant has a lot of appeal. A cute ambiance and quirky things all over to catch and make you laugh. It's clean and cozy. The paper-lined tables are a quick, practical way to keep things clean but I would think if you are prone to messes, this won't bother the staff at all either! I ordered the personal pizza with ricotta in the sauce (it's a special there) and added linguica and olives. Omg....there were other menu items, but THIS was amazing! Great place to have breakfast. Booth I was seated at was clean and comfortable. Pancakes were great. The omelet was good. There are dancing tomato related designs around fitting the name of the establishment. Servers were nice. Pretty complete package of a place. One take away is just my booth was really close to the server station and hear everything they discuss about which isn't a knack at the servers more on the location. read more

I went to the Dancing Tomato Caffe for my birthday today and wasn't disappointed. Both Kaleigh and Gabriella were wonderful folks who helped make my birthday special - without the clapping circle! :) Kaleigh brought me a little umbrella in the lemon with my water, and that was all I needed! :) I had "The Cowboy" for breakfast and boy was it yummy! Pizza was okay, very salty and you could hardly see the veggies and the meat was almost non existent. The pie was good, however for $7.00 + you would think the portion would be larger. No need to be so stingy Dancing Tomato! The only reason I chose your restaurant to dine in our home is because when we've dined at your place of business is the quality and generous portions!
