Called Lambert's Plumbing & Heating for a service after my HVAC heat failed during the night. They answered the phone early, scheduled an afternoon appointment and arrived on-time. The system needed replacing so we scheduled an 8AM start the next day for a complete new system installation. I was offered space heaters for my home, which was a very nice gesture. Because of the age of my system, I already had an idea of the replacement cost. Lambert's quote was well within the ballpark. No matter who you are, writing a big check can be stressful. Lambert's allowed me to purchase the heating component on the day of install and wait until spring to proceed with replacing and paying for the central air component. The technicians arrived on-time and were both professional and personable. The job's director, Sal, is a credit to the profession and the owner, Scott Lambert, came mid-day to address any questions or concerns I had, of which there were none. Everyone took great care with my home as if it were a million dollar property! Included in the job was a hardwired with battery backup carbon monoxide detector installed by the unit. I really like the new digital thermostat provided and large box of air filters...every little bit counts! If you are like me and do not have time to call 3 different vendors and price shop over what may amount to be a few hundred dollars difference between them, have comfort in calling Lambert's Plumbing and Heating 1st. Buyer Beware! We had a leaking pipe in the ceiling over our kitchen stove. A young man came to our house and repaired the leaking pipe. He was polite and efficient. However, after he left our house we discovered that he had unknowingly damaged the top of our floating glass stove top. When we called the owner of the company numerous times so as to put in a claim for damages they refused to call us back. It cost us over $600 to replace the stove top! It seems that Lambert's does not care about customer satisfaction or back their employees. This was very disappointing as we had previously used Lambert's Plumbing with satisfaction. An unexpected surprise when the kitchen sink backs up on a Saturday night and all your home-handyman knowledge is useless. I picked up the phone book and looked for an emergency plumber and called Lambert's. Within the hour two guys showed up and diagnosed the problem as something that needed more attention than what could be done then and there. So we bit the bullet and went Sunday without access to the kitchen sink. Thankfully we had other options. As promised the guys showed up again on time Monday morning with the supplies and tools. Part of the sink drain pipe (old cast iron) had to be removed and replaced as it was 99% blocked from who-knows how many years of build up. Within the hour, the repair was complete. The forecast called for freezing Temps, below zero with the wind chill....and my furnace died. I called Lamberts and from the start they made me feel more secure in knowing my children wouldn't freeze. They came by early the next morning and started the work a short time later. The next day it was done! The work was amazing, but the guys who work there really put this over the top for me. They brought over heaters for us to use to make sure we were warm while the work was being done. I found myself enjoying the interactions with them. I was kept informed every step of the way and the finished product was AMAZING. More companies should do business like Lamberts... first class service, top notch work and a crew that were super nice. I had a leak in my ceiling which I realize was coming from my 3rd floor shower. The guys came pretty quickly and quoted me $750 to replace a shower valve. $750!!! It took them about an hour and had two guys. They know their stuff and all but $750 for a shower valve... I was told I was ripped off as it shouldn't have been more than $400. I'm a little disappointed and wouldn't go back to them again on pricing alone. read more

Called Lambert's for an emergency. Came and replaced water pipes etc. paid in full before job was done. Mistake! They attached pipes in the basement to strapping making it impossible to put up the ceiling. After many calls by myself, son and brother no response . Person at office was rude and was trying to say there was no ceiling there. There had been but it was removed because of the water damage.Held up the restoration work needed. Had to call another plumber to undo the work and put pipes where they should have been in the first place costing me more Too bad, Sal seemed like a nice guy but I will never recommend this company to anyone. read more

RUN! seriously find someone else, guys are borderline criminals. My family is currently cleaning up the plumbing mess they made of a tub install. Over paid for a job and now have to pay even more to fix it. ruined a door left a hole in the kitchen ceiling, a hole all around the tub and couldn't even be bothered to tighten down the toilet they installed. the sad part is i feel they only did this taking advantage of the fact i have a single mother who lives home alone. read more

My sister in law who is eight months pregnant called Lamberts for a leak in her wall the plumber and an assistant came in to get a few things made a mess which she had to clean up and said that they would have to demo the entire wall they recommended someone who would do it for $700 and then they would come in and do the plumbing work so I called a local recommend a plumber who did the whole job in two hours on a Saturday with no demo involved for $300 less I would definitely recommend him over Lamberts read more

Ive dealt with Lamberts a few times was very pleased until there last visit. I wont go to crazy with detail but after using another area plumber who was excellent i realized Lamberts was expensive, and the last visit took almost a week before they could repair a leak in the ceiling. Then they repair the leak but want you to rip apart your ceiling to fix it and dont repair the whole thats left and thats after spending $$$. Was pleased until recently. read more

I just bought a new house that has been quite a challenge. It's a 100 year old house that had some unique design problems for an air conditioning system. Scott responded quickly, gave me an estimate, and started the work on time. He was also able to advise me on other heating and plumbing issues while he was there. I had written a previous review that was less than satisfactory because of the time I wasted waiting for them. Since they did finally come, I have to review Chris, the plumber that came to do my job. He was very pleasant and did a great job moving our washer and dryer hookups, though because I have a mobile I think that the job was more difficult than it would usually be. He had to crawl under the home, and when I apologized that he had to get under there, he said cheerfully, "it's the job". That comment made me feel that he didn't mind doing whatever he needed to do to get the job done. He worked really hard for over four hours and the price was very reasonable. I had been told by people that had the same job done that it would be at least $200 more. So, I would recommend them. They are busy though, so you may have to wait a while, but when they get there you will be happy that you hired them. A special thanks to Chris, who did a fantastic job. My husband and I have been waiting to replace our dishwasher and garbage disposal for almost a year. Both were in desperate need of replacement. We finally bought new appliances during the President's Day sales and contacted Lambert's Plumbing and Heating to install both appliances on the same day. Scott and team were very diligent, quick, and very clean. There were able to take out both old dishwasher and garbage disposal and install both new appliances within less than an hour and a half. The timing was perfect. The customer service was outstanding; both individuals were very easy going and were able to answer all my questions. They also left the place cleaner than any other contractor that we had work in our house. I would highly recommend Lambert's for any plumbing and heating issue/installation. read more

The good: They were prompt/responsive. Their work is seemingly functional (replaced boiler system). I will say the baseboard heating appears to be weaker than the previous system. I will require additional tweaking of the system, it would seem. The bad: The crew left innumerable cigarette butts in my driveway (some about 4 inches from trash barrels). Also other debris (including screws, plastic electrical wire caps, etc) was left around the driveway near my car. Similarly, they made a mess of my toilet and bathroom floor, including bathmat. Couple their inconsiderate treatment of your home and property with their cost of services and I'd say you could probably do better than this outfit. read more

Absolutely unprofessional. After spending $500 on a clog in a pipe. They NEVER mentioned only a 30 days guarantee (not written on their invoice either). Less than 3 months goes by and again we have a clog in the same pipe they claimed they fixed. I wouldn't be so upset but the pipe comes from a bathroom we hardly use. We have a main bathroom we use everyday. The other bathroom is used only on weekends when we have people over, not to mention, no one has visited since we moved in other than family. The bathroom has been used a max of 7 days within the 3 months. I call to report the issue and the guy on the phone obviously enjoys listening to himself talk because I couldn't get a word in until I asked him to be quiet and listen. He sends a guy over, the guy stated it would be another $400 to unclog. I tell the guy to do the job but I will be contacting an attorney. once I mentioned that, the manager tells his guy, to leave the premises and go to another job. We are unable to wash dishes by hand or use the dish washer because it drains down the same pipe. DO NOT CONTACT Lambert's unless you want terrible service or you want to spend $500 every 3 months. read more

I called at 6 pm because I heard a strange noise in my basement and thought it could be my hot water tank. The person I spoke with asked me a bunch of questions trying to figure out what it could be. We had no luck over the phone so he decided to drive to my house. I don't even know where he was coming from, but he was willing to stop what he was doing and drive right over!!! Amazing. I ended finding out what the noise was and called him to say that he didn't need to come. So I bother this gentleman, ask him to come after hours and then call to say never mind and he said, " I'm just glad everything's ok. Call for anything, anytime" if you need plumbing and heating these are your people to call!! read more

We had a terrible experience in 2009 with this company. Our upstairs toilet was leaking through the ceiling of the first floor bathroom. The two men who came were very unprofessional. They informed us that the toilet upstairs was too big for the space, and that they were going to go get a replacement. They removed the upstairs toilet before they left. They came back with a $700 toilet. We complained, and were told that the Toto brand is the ONLY brand they use. (I bet it is!) We were naive and in a bind, so we just went ahead with it. We also had a problem with the handle on the downstairs sticking. The man worked on it for a really long time, but wasn't able to fix that. (Our son-in-law, who is not a plumber, was able to fix it in 5 minutes). $900 later, we had a new toilet that was the same size as the one they removed, and they didn't even set it properly. Lamberts came to our house to install a new furnace and AC. They arrived on time, and diligently worked from 8:30 am to 8 pm- the only time they took a break was to eat a quick lunch around 4 pm! I was impressed with how industriously they worked and how polite and friendly they were. They were extremely thorough with answering questions and reassured us that if we had any questions or concerns to call them and they would be happy to come back. At about 11am my disposal started leaking like a sieve. Called a couple of places and Lambert's said they could have someone here today. Quoted me a price with and without a new disposal. Their price was close enough that it wasn't worth going out to get one. The plumber arrived very close to time specified, was totally professional, got the job done and cleaned up. Price quoted was what I was charged. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't get any better in a era of 4 hour service windows. read more
