So happy we had the chance to check out this market perfect for a lunch break or take the family old school place conveniently located the guy who took our order was super friendly. I told him it was my first time there and he walked me right through it. Our sandwiches were pretty amazing and the price was cheap. I definitely will come back.

Italian cold cut with everything on it. Tip: get chipotle Mayo.

Fully loaded pastrami sandwich. If that's what you want, highly suggest trying Lamberts. Known for their nice neighborly market and nice big self serve salad bar, Lamberts is low key one of the best spots to get subs. From turkey sub to tuna sub, I've always enjoyed their turkey gobbler. But one thing that is always good, their pastrami sandwich.

A solid spot if you're in a pinch for lunch offering an extensive self serve salad bar, hot food, sandwiches, grill and soup. Couple it with a little market to get your grocery shopping done, it's a one stop shop. It's very popular around lunch time, so don't be surprised if you get over stimulated and stand in people's way to order.

Freaking rock stars! Wanted to get a gift basket for friends coming into town for the weekend. A Sunday delivery in Roslindale. They had two days to get this done. I called them, answered first time, confirmed the basket and delivery. Today arrived and it's massive. 75 lbs of goodness. Very tasty fruit and cookies. Never using Harry and David's or Amazon, these guys rocks. Very

I am a frequent visitor to this establishment. This place has the best salad bar with a wide selection. There fruits are always fresh and delicious. Today I ordered a small fruit platter and it was ready in ten mins for pick up. All the fruits were delicious! The staff are friendly and the establishment is always clean.

Still my favorite salad bar of all time. This is a great local grocery store that has so many healthy options. They have a garden in front to purchase fresh flowers, and you walk in to the ever-popular salad bar. This place is PACKED at lunchtime, everyone comes here for lunch. In the summertime, they have an ice cream place attached next door. They have tons of fresh fruits, a deli, and cooked foods bar, such as calzones, and a ton of other groceries. I've only ordered from the salad bar + fruits, but it's a great deal! Groceries can be more expensive in the city, and I think they try to make healthy food as affordable as possible. I always get a $10-15 salad (2-3 lb) with everything I could ever want on it. They have plenty of fruit in the salad bar, but better deals when you buy them from the grocery section. They also have fresh oven-roasted chicken and turkey for the salads if you prefer meat. The only way they could get better is if they had smoothies! This place was a catalyst for my own health journey, and I ended up losing 130 lbs, which started by coming here. So although I did the work myself, I am grateful that I was inspired by that first day my friends brought me here.

My favorite spot to grab a salad. Some meat from the butcher. Something from the deli. Fresh fruit and veggies. The place is always clean. The lines are never long. This one of my favorite one stop shops.

Dorchester/Fields Corner Farmer's Market - A nice day at the farmers market

It is just so great to have a farmers market in this part of Dorchester!…read more The market is held from 9am-12 noon every Saturday, May though October, in the parking lot at the A.J. Wright plaza in Fields Corner. Get there early if you want the best selection, as they run out of the most popular items pretty early. I love fresh peaches and pears when in season, so I try to be there at 9am on the dot. No frills-- no wandering minstrels or artisan cupcakes, just bins of fresh produce and a few tables set up for weighing and paying. There seem to be two farms stands operating here... a family run farm called Berberian out of Northborough, and a Vietnamese farm stand. I don't think they take credit cards, I have always paid cash. They do take WIC and food stamps, and a large portion of the customers pay with these. The produce is fresh, delicious, and seasonal of course. The corn is amazing. The beets are amazing, with glossy gorgeous greens still attached, $2.50 for a bunch. The leeks are also incredible and so cheap... $1.50 or $2.00 for a bunch that would cost you 6 bucks at Shaws. Fresh herbs of all kinds, squashes, big juicy tomatoes, green beans, carrots, onions, potatoes, chard, collards, etc etc etc... we buy all of our produce here in the summer. Last weekend we went home with 45 pounds of produce, for about $50 dollars. Can't beat it.

A refreshingly non-Yuppie market with limited selection but great prices…read more I attended for the first time today, even though I am told this market has been operating for 35 years. There were two produce vendors and a booth in which the Boston Cyclists' Union was tuning up old bikes for free. One vendor had great Asian and other ethnic veggies cheap--for $2, I bought enough Caribbean spinach to feed an army. The other vendor (the guy who told me he'd been coming for 35 years) had his produce on the ground in giant tubs. No frills, but effective. His corn was stunning and I got a nice head of lettuce, some carrots, a peach and a nectarine for short money. Definitely worth a visit if it is local for you and if you are looking for farm fresh at an affordable price. If you want the latest amazing baked goods, jams, jellies, honey and gourmet delicacies galore, this is not the place! This market is located in the Park Street Shopping Center parking lot. I was the first to review it and and I used the address of McDonald's which is the closest business in the shopping center to the market. Listed hours are Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon, but the Asian veggie vendor was already closing by 11:20 a.m.--so come early. The acceptance of credit cards may vary depending on staffing; when I was there the person with the card machine had left.

Since my husband and I were in Quincy to visit the Adams National Historical Park, we decided to…read morestop by this H Mart for lunch (as there is a food court here) and also to do some grocery shopping. The food court has quite a good selection of restaurants to choose from, in addition to having Tous Les Jours bakery and also Gong Cha. There is plenty of seating and there are also restrooms available. After we had lunch, we ended up purchasing the following from the market side: FInger Kimbap, $6.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Shrimp Tempura Kimbap, $8.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Razor Clams, $22.34 prior to tax- Rarely have we seen razor clams sold in a market (the only other one we have seen them was at a T&T Supermarket in Washington). So we decided to purchase them, even though the price did seem more expensive. We ended up purchasing a little over a pound (it was $14.99 per pound). My husband cooked them back at our Airbnb and they were delicious. Live Lobster, $13.10 prior to tax- Price for live lobster is significantly cheaper than back home in Los Angeles so we knew we had to get one (the last time we were in Boston, we dined out for Lobster over a handful of times and also did purchase them from seafood markets). Lobster was only $7.99 per pound, we got close to 2 pounds. My husband also cooked this back at our Airbnb and the meat was nice and sweet. Pink Apple, $2.51 prior to tax- Ended up only purchasing 2 apples because the quality of fruit seemed to be rather sub par. ----------------------------- (Total= $55 after tax) When we were in the seafood department, we were able to get an employee's attention to help us. But we did see this one young guy just standing there waiting to see if any one would help him. I think at these places, you have to get the attention of the employees if you want to be helped since there was no number or ticket to get for someone to call you when its your turn. Also I was greatly disappointed with the quality of produce on this visit. A lot of the fruit was rather poor quality, looking like some of the fruit was too ripe. And some of the vegetables looked old. Overall, I think our shopping experience was good, just wished the produce was better. But the prices seemed to be pretty good in general and similar to what I have seen back home at our local H Mart. If I was local to this area, I would most likely be a regular here.
