I have lived here for a year and never stopped by because I wasn't sure what it was. Turns out to be a lovely grocery store / cafe. I ordered a chick pea sandwich and it was delicious. I was impressed by their vegetarian and vegan options! They also have a breakfast menu that I would love to try. After I got my sandwich, I ate in their gorgeously decorated seating area. Someone was there working and someone else sipping a coffee so this just gave it really cozy cafe vibes. When I was finished, I perused their LOVELY selection of craft beers- lots of local things (citizens, DBC, Notch, Bully boy) plus others I would love to try. They also had a wall of high quality coffee beans from the area that got me excited! Very versatile place for sure :)

I thought this market place was such a cool place to check out! I ordered the "Il Prato and added prosciutto",, it was a little expensive for the small portion but the quality ingredients were amazing.

MY FAVORITE SPOT. I absolutely love this place. The workers are SO nice and helpful. They are experts with everything food and drinks. They always offer to help me pick out some cheese or wine without trying to force me to buy more or something expensive (which I hate). They let me sample a bunch of cheeses until I find exactly what I want. They are so awesome. If I could give them more starts I would. Pro tip: if you come early there's bread from yesterday for 2$

My homemade Caprese sandwich, ingredients from American Provisions. Everything is top quality made by true artisans of their craft. Bravo

This is the best addition to the neighborhood and I've been praying for something like this for 10 years. Every time I come in Noah has helped me primarily but everyone else is incredibly gracious knowledgeable and lovely as well. Noah so well-informed on all of the different products from the pre-prepared frozen and fresh goods to the wildly diverse cheeses and the delightful selection of beers and wine. I had spinal surgery yesterday and so to prepare for post-op. He helped me select some items for the freezer and easy things to put together. Last night I made the most incredible caprese sandwich on a baguette with ingredients I had purchased and today I have snacked on some of the mind-boggling cheeses. Go go go, they are wonderful and deserves our support, you won't regret it! I just wanted to respond to the two reviews that were pretty negative about the cost,. As a chef and restaurateur I just wanted to clarify some things. This is definitely a specialty grocery store and the prices are appropriate, I know how much these things cost the owners and taking into consideration all of the other things involved in the overhead of running a business do get factored in. Having a staff that can tell you where 40 or 50 different extremely unusual cheeses comes from is very very rare. For some folks they will come in here every day and for some it might be a once in a while treat, but everything they have is extremely high-quality and you get what you pay for. They also have a Cherry location, probably with high rent and high insurance. I am absolutely sure they do everything by the book and non-industry folks just have no idea the costs of just opening the doors. If you are happy with Dunkin Donuts coffee, Quiznos subs, crappy grocery store olive oil which BTW isn't even olive oil , and DiGiorno pizza, then by all means, stick with that. I'm not judging, food is like art- eat what YOU want to, but I don't think it's right or kind to disparage a great new neighborhood business that is busting their butt to bring something special to our neighborhood.

a burrito with potatoes and eggs

Okay I have never left a yelp review in my life but I just need to say this place is super inconsistent. Payed $10 for a breakfast burrito that was all dry potatoes, was supposed to have guacamole and there was none idk if you're gonna overprice food and people are gonna splurge one day and then get basically a potato burrito that's just extremely disappointing. How are you gonna do that to people. Idk I'm poor and that sucks.

Great selection of unique quality food and drink. Getting these more exotic foods isn't cheap, but it's worth it!

Whole Foods in the Back Bay area of Boston is a compact outpost of the high end grocery chain,…read morecovering the essentials without the space of a suburban store. We walked into a produce section that is well stocked and an organic selection consistent with what the brand delivers. The hot bar is expanded and makes the store a practical option for a ready made lunch or dinner without much planning required. Pricing is a consistent downside that makes this not our first choice. Individual items across the store run significantly higher than what we would pay at a conventional grocery chain, and the urban location pricing adds another layer on top of the standard Whole Foods premium. For staple items and everyday groceries, the cost adds up quickly enough that we decide to buy from here only if we really need to. For a quick prepared meal or a specific organic item in the Back Bay area, it serves its purpose, but for regular grocery shopping we look elsewhere.

We like this Whole foods market- it has everything from produce to breads to prepared foods…read more I especially like the prepared foods - the soups are good for lunches. I would like to see more variety in the hot foods bar - especially because we always come here on Saturday and it's the same dishes. I understand they probably have a rotating menu so each day probably has a different selection but since we only come on Saturday it's pretty much the same every Saturday. Please change out the menu. Yesterday they even had some cut up oranges for free samples and that was great!! You get to try the fruit before buying- I mean you generally can't go wrong with cuties but still I thought this was a nice touch!! Loved it! Now that they have so many more self service checkout stations it's great! The space is also more efficient now. Their service is good too - they have someone there to quickly help if necessary. I like the green bananas as I like to buy them that way so they ripen over the next few days and can be eaten while yellow before they become sad lol! Overall we like this store - would like to see more selection/ rotation of menu in the hot bar!
