Paid $240 to change the base metal of my small stud earrings from silver to gold and to modify the height of the earrings. The earrings came back plated (very faintly too) with gold, and no modification of the height. Won't recommend if you're looking for a professional service. read more

I have used this jeweler from their days at the flea market in Sayville, but I can't express enough how terrible they have become! I brought my future son-in-law to them with a diamond I gave him that was mine to purchase a setting for an engagement ring for my daughter. We did find exactly what my daughter was looking for, however when they set our diamond into the halo setting, the "jeweler" broke the prongs off of three of the diamond settings on the top of the halo. Instead of fixing it correctly, he glued the small diamonds into place!!!! Well the first time my daughter cleaned her ring, two of the diamonds fell out!! When they took the ring back, another jeweler in the building told my daughter that there was glue residue in the holes where the diamonds were missing and that a third was also glued in place. When they confronted the owner, he was indignant and denied that they would ever have glued the diamonds. He wanted my daughter to leave her ring, which she refused to do! Who would stop them from taking her $6,000 diamond after being so unscrupulous as to deny their own mishandling of her setting in the first place!!! Eventually my daughter heard the owner tell the jeweler that it appeared the prongs were broken and that the small diamonds were indeed glued into place. My daughter had them remove her large diamond for safe keeping while she left the setting to be repaired. Two days later she watched carefully while they replaced her diamond into the repaired setting. NO APOLOGY!! NO ADMITTANCE OF THEIR OBVIOUS SHODDY WORKMANSHIP!!! In fact they were indignant and nasty to my daughter when she told them what they had done. She was going to buy her wedding bands there, but now will not!!! Don't go to this jeweler. They do not care about the quality of their work. It's really very disappointing. I'm only putting one star because they make you choose something!! DISGUSTED!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS JEWELRY BOOTH!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!! I used to go to this booth for 14k chains and charms. No problem with that. I had some simple fixes done by them and no problem. I went in to have a few pieces of my mother's jewelry fixed and most of the prices were so expensive for minor work on some of them. I asked to have my diamond wedding ring cleaned which they did for free, but was told that two of my prongs were worn down and I would loose my diamond if I don't fix it. The jeweler said, "I can't let you wear this, you will loose your stone." This man I have not seen working the few times I went, but as we all know faces come and faces go. But, the lady that was there I have seen and is nice. When I agreed to have them fix my ring but I wanted the stone and I'll bring it back, the man said, "You don't trust me. I keep your stone safe with me. You will have to wait two hours or so to have it put back in." I said it was fine. He had an attitude and said as he got his nippers and started snipping the prongs, "Fine. You take the diamond. The stone is not so big I got bigger more expensive stones here why would I want to keep yours." He waived his hand over his display. I told him I'm sure that he does have expensive stones but it was my stone and it means the world to me. My stone is .88 VS. When I told him that it does not matter if good or not, it's my stone. He said, "Yes, of course." After he cleaned the stone he said, "Beautiful stone. Very clear. You got a good stone here." Now he changes his attitude. I should have known to take my setting and go elsewhere. Because of my good experiences with other gold purchase before I left the setting. When I came back a week later I gave my diamond to him and he brought it over to a jewelry booth arcoss from him and a man there said it was the wrong setting. It was for a marquise not a pear. The setting had to go back again for the right one. I left my stone to be set, and another week later I came back and the stone was set wrong and on an angle. The prongs were not even and laid lower then my original. When I told him that it was not set even, the prongs were shorter, and the diamond is set at 1:10 not at 12 o'clock. He took a few minutes to look and said, "You wear. Maybe you like it. If not you bring back." Now I'm so mad. "I said this ring is wrong. The prongs are not even, the diamond is set wrong, and it sits lower then it was." He said, "You wear it. See if you like it." I took the ring and walked out. When looking at it again in my car I wanted to cry. I went back in and said that I wanted it fixed the right way. He said, "Well, you wanted in a rush." I said that I didn't and asked for a rush and even of it was a rush job, it shouldn't look like this. He said, "I bring to my guy in the city and fix it for you, but the stone has to stay to be fix the right way. I let him take it and when I went to pick it up a week later, it wasn't fixed the right way. The stone was set a little more even but when looking it was still tilted and set at 1:05. One side of the setting was shorter than the other. The whole setting was set lower and not as high as the original setting. When he went over to get his loop for a better look at the ring, I asked the lady worker (same lady through my whole experience) if it looked even. She shook her head. Then said whispered, "Don't bring your jewelry to be fixed." When the man came over, she said, "I just work here." He looked at my ring and said, "The ring is beautiful and fine." I told him that there was something wrong with his eyes." He said, "I give you the phone number of my guy in the city and you call him." When asked if he was going to pay my train ticket, cab fee, and anything else I have to pay to get this ring fixed the right way, he said, "The ring is fine. You call him and talk to him." I told him he lost a customer. He said, "You not a customer." I walked out and now will have to pay more to get my ring fixed the right way. I wanted to put a chair by his booth and tell everyone that came to him not to do business with him. If I could put a huge blinking neon sign blocking his sign it would read, FAKE!!! AWFUL!!! I went to have my ring sized a gift my sister bought me from this store for my 50th birthday and I was told how big I was, how fat my fingers were over & over in front of my kids ! I brought in a piece of jewelry to sell but wanted to keep the diamond and have them set the diamond on to another ring/setting... I was very satisfied with the work they completed They are very trustworthy with your diamonds as I've got records of all the inclusions on any and all of my more expensive items. I'm now in the process of having them design and actually set 7 diamonds on to a nice chunk of 14kt gold ring... I have the utmost confidence that they'll complete the task to my satisfaction and am looking forward to receiving the finished product. I will write a review upon the completed work and will be as honest as possible but I'm very sure that it will be a positive experience! If they do exactly what is expected, then they will definitely get the 5 stars they deserve! Spent $4,000 on a diamond wedding band. Wife had it on for 3hr some stones fell out and ring I'd cracking.. they were closed Monday and Tues so I took it to 2 other jeweler's for opinions both had the same response.. whoever sized the ring compromised the setting with heat and a new setting is needed.. brought it back today and Boris said he will "send it out " to fix it.. will update my rating when I see if it's really done right. read more

If I could destroy this stores reputation, shut it down, or do anything else that would make people NOT GO TO THIS JEWLERY STORE It would give me ultimate joy!!! They are the worst, make sh*** jewelry and will rip you off! I got a diamond engagement ring (Halo) 3 stone setting from here. From the second day, I HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE with it, the "diamonds" would keep falling out of the setting, the prongs were sharp, ruined my clothes, and the setting was just made like total SH**!!!!! I literally had them TRY to repair issues that they couldn't fix and made it worse each time!!! They ARE NOT REAL JEWELERS!!!! This place should be shut down!!! It was my mistake to keep going back!! Horrable Jewlery Store, STAY AWAY! The staff are crooks. I put a downpayment on a chain and when i did they told me if i didnt like/want it they would refund my deposit.
