Our staffer was extremely professional with his help and suggestions. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. I even heard him recommend a competitor to another customer because they could not accommodate their request. The store is going through a renovation but is still open. It's nice to actually speak with salespeople who know their products and want to help their customers. They will match any internet pricing, too. I would definitely come here rather than the big box stores for your lighting fixture and ceiling fan needs.

If I had gone to a big box store, or other showroom, I would have left with the wrong fixture. While I was there they consulted with me on a future project for outdoor lighting. Brandywine lighting is one of those "gems" in a crowded field of big stores with staff who know very little about lighting.

I called ITech and spoke to Tony. His calm demeanor and reassurance on the phone was comforting. He gave me the choice of waiting for Monday to do the repairs, or pay the additional emergency charge and have them come out right away. I opted for the right away and was glad I did. Tony plus two others arrived around 4PM and by 7PM everything was replaced and back to normal. He was booked out for quite awhile but he set a time range around of 2-3 months when he'd be able to start the repair and restoration of our family heirloom mid century floor lamp. Once a date was set, we dropped off the lamp at his shop, got a more specific price range, set a "top" price which not to go over, and left the lamp. It took maybe a month or so before it was ready for pickup. We couldn't get over how he re wired, completely refurbished, and brought our lamp back to life! It's now gorgeous and functional. :)

I understand that a good antique light is going to cost more than junk from Target. So I am not complaining about antiques costing quite bit more than other lighting. I am complaining about this specific store costing much, much more than antique lights elsewhere. I shop a lot for antique lighting and this store is one of the most expensive I have ever seen. You can find much better prices if you search on etsy, ebay, or take a trip to local salvage stores like Re-store or even Provenance or Classic Lighting. Anastasia's Antiques has a good bit of lighting too. None of those stores I just listed are inexpensive, but they are not freaking outrageous like this place. If you are considering shopping here, go to their website first and see if you can afford what they are charging. Their website is very extensive and will give you a good idea of their offerings.
