The photographs on the Lamp Plus website make all table lamps look the same in size. Walked in and walked up and down the store, a good ten minutes, no one greeted me. not that I expect red carpet treatment, but really?? The store was not busy at all. On a Sunday morning in late spring, I headed to Lamps Plus to get a very specific part for a pendant light I have in my entryway. I entered the store and I was a bit shocked at the number of lights/lamps, but then I reminded myself -- it is a lamp store so it shouldn't be that shocking. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Wow were there alot of lamps! The customer service was pretty top-notch. I went in looking for light bulbs and came out with an order for light bulbs and renewed enthusiasm for lamps and how they eliminate the darkness. Angela Baldridge is a lighting wizard! She's also a consummate professional - knowledgable, personable and committed. She's all of that plus she has discriminating designer eyes for scale - what works, what will work and what won't. She has guided me, and a couple of electricians, in hanging both big and small chandeliers, in spaces that require exact placement - a few inches off would be a glaring mistake. In particular, the La Scala comes to mind, one 5' foot tall entry chandelier had to be aligned in front of a 6" foot long window 25' feet from the main floor. Intimidating to all involved. Hooray! I purchased two chandeliers back in 2006 from the Henderson, NV store. Yesterday the loop which holds the lamp to the ceiling plate broke off and my lamp was hanging from one thin wire. We spoke to Susan Johnson who knew exactly what part needed to be replaced. Upon arrival, Ms. Johnson had the part ready and demonstrated how the washer and threaded nipple worked. Note: you shouldn't purchase the replacement parts from the big box home repair store because they will not work! I have to say that this was my first time purchasing chandeliers and lights for my home as I remodeled . When you first walk into the store it's overwhelming because there are so many beautiful lights hanging everywhere. So it's easy to get confused . Susan was the assistant manager and spent over an hour with us helping make the best selections based on my rooms individual needs . I never considered height , width, the color and brightness of each bulb and all the intricate details that are involved with picking up just the right chandeliers and accessories . She was very knowledgeable and extremely detailed and friendly . She was also very patient as I didn't know many of the dimensions of my rooms and she helped me to figure out what would best go where without being pushy . The store also had much more selection than the one on Fort Apache and Sahara . I also enjoyed the open floor plan so you could see many things at one time . I bought 2 lamps at Home Goods but didn't like the shades so went to Lamps Plus to find ones that looked good with the lamps. It turned out to be a difficult task. Rick Stigall went over and above in helping me decide on color, size and shape of the lamps. Not to mention the finials.
