Firstly, a little bit of a backstory of this lamp for my son. The base with the Sports Balls and Bat was gifted to me. I know it had some time and I Loved the Retro look, just needed a little bit of TLC. It did not come with a lamp shade, so I immediately found a cute basketball shade that I purchased online separately. When it came in, I thought I can simply put it together. Unfortunately, the lamp shade did not fit appropriately with the original socket. I decided to go into the Lamps Plus near me, and went inside to see if I can just purchase the small part that can make the shade fit precisely. I was greeted by the person at the door and she suggested I speak with someone in the back to assist. At that moment, I met Tony, he said I can leave the lamp and shade behind, then come pick it up later. To my surprise, so quickly after 1 hour I received the call that my lamp was ready for pick Up. As I entered Tony brought the lamp out to me, it was EXACTLY what I had envisioned for it to look like-Assembled together and working. He was able to replace a whole new socket and put it together. I received the best customer service over the telephone from this Lamp Plus as the store manager Rob was very helpful and able to tell me the availability and shipping dates for lamps I had chosen from the Lamp Plus website, after giving him the item number for each lamp.
