We were excited to see a nice selection to choose from, but after 20 minutes (YES, TWENTY MINUTES) no one even bothered to say hello or someone will be right with you. Nothing. We were ignored. I guess a judgment was made because we were wearing baseball caps and T shirts? Really? We were prepared to drop at least $1,000 on new lighting. But now they get nothing. Such a great business, I've been buying from this store for years, in fact I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. They have such great customer service. Not A.I., real people and not people from across the world with limited English skills. We were on the hunt for some new landscape lighting and I can honestly say that Lamps Plus was not the first place that came to mind! However, a quick online search pointed us to them and we quickly learned that they had TONS of outdoor lighting options, for every budget under the sun. My husband and I wanted to see some examples (for quality, size, height, etc.) in person before placing an order so we visited this local showroom. While they definitely don't have a huge selection to see in the store, they had their most popular lights/the ones that I wanted to see so it was a total WIN! The lady working the outdoor section was so helpful!! She answered all of our questions and helped us find the perfect lights for the effects that we're looking to get in our yard. I so wish I had something nice to say about this location. I guess I'll say they have a nice selection of products. Unfortunately they weren't interested in making money the day that I was there and as a result never have to worry about my business, which is unfortunate for them because we were renovating one home and purchasing a new one. At the time of my visit two items that were on my lengthy list of needs/wants were on display without any additional inventory available. They offered to sell me the display items, which I was fine with but said they had BigWigs coming to visit the store so they couldn't take the items down until after that visit because they couldn't have empty spaces when their executives arrived. Uhm... wouldn't your executives rather you sell your inventory, I asked... and the answer was no. So I canceled my entire order and left, haven't been back, and will not be back. We were looking for a dining room light fixture that would match a new table that we were having made. Not only were the sales staff very helpful, when we had an issue with one of the lamps, they did not have any questions when we returned it. It just wasn't as well made as we expected. And they totally understood. So the return was seamless. One of the other lamp shades that we did buy from there, we absolutely love. I ordered a very nice Robert Louis floor lamp from this Lamps Plus store. I actually live just outside of Las Vegas and our two Lamp Plus stores did not have this specific lamp in stock. The entire staff at this store are outstanding and clearly understands the concept of excellent customer service! The girl I spoke with did not have the lamp in stock however, she made some calls and was able to locate the lamp at another one of their stores in the area and facilitated the purchase for me and arranged to have it shipped to my home. I called a couple of days later to check on the status of the shipping and spoke with another individual. She too was outstanding in her customer service skills and got back with me the same day to explain the status of the shipping of the lamp. This was only our first time to Lamps Plus and we found it to be a very extensive store. The only drawback was our inability to find what we were looking for here either. I've posted several photos of their displays and setup. The prices seem fairly reasonable. They even have a buyers club that offers points. What originally drew us here was the signage for 50% off which I wrote a Yelp tip on. Granted it's one of those "up to" 50% off come-ons that retailers like to advertise. We spent nearly thirty minutes walking through and checking out various lighting. BTW, there is also a Yelp discount if you check-in, where you can get "1 free, 2 pack of Light Bulbs". So a Two Star "Meh" rating, just short of Three Stars. read more
