When…read moreI began acupuncture in October 2024, my high blood pressure was 192/97 and I was dealing with low range of motion and pain in my right shoulder due to pulled/strained muscles. I had recently weaned myself off high blood pressure medication because of non-stop persistent coughing, and I was really scared. Dr. Shawne and her staff was very compassionate and listened to my concerns. Dr. Shawne assured me that with acupuncture, excercise, meditation, tai chi, and diet, my situation would improve. She also ordered a vitamin routine for me, which I began immediately. I continued with my acupunture treatments until the end of January 2025, when my high blood pressure reached l35/64, and my range of motion became normal. She did not needle that finger, instead the pinkie next to it and effectively blew out the joint with a bad needle placement. That was literally the only good finger I had after my head injury! Fast forward one year and I'm still struggling with pain, swelling, and reduced strength and mobility to that pinkie joint. I'm pretty pissed off to say the least and I will NEVER let anyone acupuncture my hands ever again!

I ended up owing or was billed for $60 and since neither of us knew anything I asked if they would do the Solomonic thing and we would each cover half .... $30 each. 50/50. They refused and stuck me with the entire bill. So needless to say their services will no longer be needed. (But the crazy thing is they didn't save $30 they lost $100s if not $1000s by losing a client!) (If I feel that I'm treated unfairly by any business regarding any issue and I give them a chance to redeem the relationship and they don't - I'm gone.) Plus I find it very unprofessional to be at the counter much less be a chiropractor wearing a nose ring. I've never seen that in my 50 years of chiropractors. I searched on Yelp and Solano Chiropractic Health Center was rated very highly. I called this morning and they took her in the same day. In listening to the doctor McEvilly, I can definitely hear a high level of care and professionalism. He believes he can get my Sister in-law in much better shape than surgery.
