I treated myself to a one-hour foot massage today--well deserved after a night out in Converse sneakers. At first, I was assigned a female masseuse who applied far more pressure than necessary. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, but I blamed it on my bunion and those unforgiving shoes. Eventually, the masseuse switched out, and a male masseur took over. He was perfect--just the right amount of pressure, skilled in hitting all the pressure points. His long, deep strokes across my feet, especially around my bunion, were so soothing that I drifted off to La La Land... only to be startled awake by a loud snore. MY loud snore. Momentarily disoriented, I realized I had dozed off. I looked up and noticed the masseur, wearing a baseball cap, paused mid-massage, hands still in position. Embarrassed, I gave a light jerk of my feet, and he resumed the massage. I must've dozed off again, because once more, I snored myself awake. This time, I didn't jump--I peeked through half-closed eyelids and noticed something strange. The masseur seemed to be resting as well, head down, cap low, hands frozen in place. Another slight foot jerk prompted him to continue, and I stayed awake to watch. Sure enough, he adjusted himself and picked back up again. I can't say for certain, but it felt like he stopped massaging whenever I fell asleep. I sincerely hope that's not standard practice. If it is, customers deserve better--especially if we're paying for a full hour of service, awake or not. read more

Well....the reviews were accurate as much as i didn't want them to be!!! I so love foot spa on the north side and was so excited to see one on the south side of Atlanta! Well unfortunately the foot spa is not a spa. Normally they rub your shoulders back etc while feet is soaking they did nothing. Then the guy just rubbed the foot and did not do any of the Accupuncture that is normally done with reflexology. On top of that it is noisy in there with the lady answering the phone and someone else it's out there and was watching a TV show so it was hard to even stay relaxed. Regardless, my back was hurting so I went and did a chair massage but I was upset because I paid for the Foot Spa and they told me that they would do back and shoulders and they did not, does it cost me $40 more than it would have for just somebody rubbing my feet which gets done with a pedicure so there was no need for that. It was a waste of my money so I only tipped six dollars which was more than enough given that the only service I wanted was my back And then the guy complained because I didn't tip at least $10 when my service was 60. Well the way i saw it that was great because my chair massage was only $20 and they lied to me on the other. So disappointing I really wanted to be a regular! read more

3.5 STARS I went here at the last minute for a full body massage. I was excited that they had openings available on a Sunday. When I walked in they invited me to sit down. I did not wait long before they took me back to the massage room. Although the masseuse did not ask about the amount of pressure I wanted, the amount he used was perfect. I enjoyed the massage, but towards the end of the massage someone came in (without knocking) and started talking to him. Shortly after the interruption my massage ended. The cost was $60 for a 60 minute massage. The massage was roughly 50 minutes, not a full hour. Also, they did not force me to pay 20% gratuity as some of the reviews stated. read more

I tried this place again after being away for a while. It has not improved. Gina was not there. I told the lady I like hard massage but it was not hard. A nice oil rub but not a good place if you need to get sore muscles worked. Did not massage hands, head, chest areas, only back and feet. read more

My mom and I came here to try out the one hour body massage. I have been to many places like this one (Chinese massage parlors) so I understand that it can be a hit or a miss. I had a poor massage experience because the woman although very kind did not use any good technique for my massage. Pressure was too light even when I asked for harder touch. It was basically her moisturizing my body with oil...something I can do at home. I noticed she had a client right before I walked in so I assumed she was tired which showed in her technique. They need more time in between clients to recover. My mom on the other hand had an amazing experience with Jessica. She enjoyed the reflexology during her massage. Like I said, these places are a hit or miss because the price is on the lower side. If you can find a good massage therapist then try to only stick to them. read more

I came in to get a foot massage from being on my feet with Doctors and nurses for about five hours straight. (I'm a consultant by profession.) When I arrived, I was treated very kindly and seated in the foot massage chairs. I soaked my feet in water first. When the massage began, there were many interruptions. The lady that began with my massage left after about five minutes and another lady took over. While she was massaging my feet she got up 4/5 times and left to do something else. Two of those times were to answer the phone. Then, she stopped my massage about 20 minutes early to massage a man that came in for a full body massage. She abruptly said, "Ok you're done pay me because I have another person to massage." When I confronted her on the time, she argued with me. About five minutes after I sat down, I received a call and showed her the time stamp. That still did not convince her that she shorted me on my one hour foot massage. She rushed me as I gathered my things to pay for the service. Usually at these foot spas they will allow you to get your "bearings" but that was not the case with this lady. She was constantly saying, "You pay me first." (Repeatedly) When I paid, I did not leave a tip. It was $35 and I was shorted 20 minutes. She looked at the receipt and asked me why I didn't tip her (Rude). I again told her she shorted me twenty minutes and she constantly got up to do other things. Then she proceeded to yell at me as I put my card away and got belongings to leave. I stood in the doorway of the entrance completely shocked and appalled at the lack of customer service and the rude behavior towards me. As I was trying to talk to her about this, she left me yelling while walking into the room for the next customer. A couple observations for expectations: This is the first foot massage place on the south side and I was really hoping for a great experience. The other foot spas in Downtown and on the north side charge about $25.00. You don't go to one of these places with the expectation of receiving a day spa experience but you should expect quiet, respectful, and relaxing. If you do decide to brave your time and money here for a foot massage, the chairs for the foot massage are in the front of the spa with no privacy or noise reduction. Went to Lan Spa yesterday. Jenny was my therapist. I have chronic sciatic pain. I explained to Jenny where the pain was and that I needed a hard massage. The massage was excellent. She concentrated on the areas I requested and I feel so much better today. My muscles are a little sore but in a good way. I will return! Yes, she is Chinese and has limited English but if you take the time and explain what you want, she is great. read more

Decided to give them a try because I was in the area and experienced the worst massage that I've ever had in my life. The tech spent 1 hour rubbing oil and her elbows over my body and didn't complete the full body massage as requested. When she walked out of the room, she stood near the register and offered me water. As I began to sign the merchant receipt, she started speaking with the male (assumed manager) that swiped my card in Chinese. I guess he told her that I didn't leave a tip. I started walking towards the door and she said, "why you not leave my 20% tip?" I turned around and said, you did not complete my massage. I explained to her that she didn't do my shoulder blades, and her response was I didn't tell her to. I've never had to tell a masseuse to massage my shoulders. She offered to do my shoulders if I payed more, I told her that I'm not giving you more money because it should have been done in the first place. She said she would do it, if I'll give her a tip. The guy then tells her to go get some lotion and she had me sit on an ottoman and she rubbed lotion on my shoulders.
