I went in for a soak-off, which I clearly requested and paid for, but the technician drilled my nails down to my natural nail and injured my finger, with no apology or concern. Another employee picked up one of my removed nails and showcased it to other customers, which was humiliating. I was 17 at the time, and this happened the day before my 18th birthday. Atrocious experience. I needed a new nail place after moving to the area. Twice I went to this place and both times I made an appointment. Twice I had to wait over an hour for them to even start my nails. Walk-ins who came in after me were started and finished before me. The quality of their work is good but the lack of consideration for their customers time ruins the entire experience. If you can sit around for hours this is the right place. First and last time going there. The nail tech (I think his last name was Bui)doing my nails did NOT pay attention to details while doing my nails. My nails are different lengths and I asked for almond shaped nails but instead I got a lopsided oval. The dip on my nails look so bumpy, uneven, and bulky looking. Upon arriving home I had noticed that there was a bubble gap between the nail and nail polish. I drove back to get it fixed and all he did was put more top coat on top of it. I guess he was thinking it would "seal" the hole. He didn't offer to redo the paint job. I also noticed that he had cut my skin using the mechanical tool that they use for nails. I have had bad nails before that were tolerable, but this is by far the worse service I have ever received. read more

Went to get a gel nail polish from there, the people are really sweet and the prices seem okay, but it's so dim you can't see your nails well until you leave and the man doing my nails put so much polish on them that there are literal hardened "droplets" of polish hanging to the sides of my nails. They are uncomfortably thick and three of my nails had polish flow under them, so those nails are very awkwardly stuck to my skin. One wasn't stuck in the corner to my nail at all and peeled off about 15 minutes after I got home. I don't know if it was just the one technician, but I won't be going back. read more

I'm going with 2 stars, because I have had GREAT experiences at Lan Spa in the past. After today, I will never go back, which is actually quite disappointing because I do love some of their techs. Today, I had an elderly woman I hadn't seen before do my pedicure. I could barely feel my massage, she started using one of those scraper things that they aren't even supposed to use anymore without asking and she took forever!! I was in about 3 weeks ago and was able to get a great pedicure and a gel manicure in less than an hour. My pedicure (awful) took an hour alone this time. I had wanted to get another gel manicure but after the pedicure took so long and the woman was so bad, I didn't want to risk it with the same tech. My 5yr old also got a manicure/pedicure today. Her tech was awesome and my daughter was super happy. They charged me $6 more for her this time than 3 weeks ago when I was in, but I wasn't super upset about that because she really enjoyed it :) When I went to pay, the total was $53. I handed the woman a $10 off $50 coupon I had received and she refused to accept it saying that my daughter and I were separate so we didn't qualify. Mind you, the coupon doesn't say ANYTHING about same person. I could maybe understand if we were two grown women coming in and trying to use it, but I was obviously a mom paying for my 5 year old. When I asked her to honor it she was so rude. I was a little disappointed that the techs I've had before and know I'm a great tipper didn't stand up and say something. I don't normally leave bad reviews, but what was supposed to be a nice, relaxing and enjoyable afternoon with my daughter was not pleasant at all. Never again. In the area and came here due to Yelp reviews. So many things wrong but the main ones: very poor French manicure gel job, eyebrow waxing poorly done, and while I was getting my nails done, the tech dug food out of her teeth and proceeded to continue to do my nails. I had to tell her to wash her hands - she didn't believe me until I pointed to actual food remnant on her hands. Oh, and during the wax, she placed the wax strips on my breasts so they were handy for her to grab. Can't even make this stuff up. But, after everything she did, she said "beautiful". I think more to convince herself than me. Never. Ever again. I'm moving to the area and was looking for a quality nail salon. This CLEARLY is not it. After waiting almost an hour (that information would have been helpful when I came in) I ordered the most expensive pedicure they have. The woman who did mine was sub par at best. The leg and foot massage was a joke. I told the lady at the very beginning not to mess with my left front toe (right side) and even showed her where I had surgery. Three minutes in she starts messing with it and I told her no, ten minutes later she did it again. The third time she did I told her NO in a sharp tone. That pretty much set the stage for a bad visit. I will not return. read more

If you're not a regular customer I don't recommend this salon. I went in today lady was in a rush. A regular asked in and every design I wanted she couldn't do. Instead the lady kept insisting on what she wanted me to have. Lastly I let the people put my nails on and had to go to another salon to get gel polish. I've given this salon multiple chances and every time they disappoint. The staff is rude and the owner has zero customer service. They try to pressure you into services to the point where it makes you uncomfortable. They have a huge lack of color selection and the colors are old and outdated. I won't be going back here to do my nails at all. I waited 30min soaking my feet for a pedicure. I asked for a regular pedicure but the technician insisted I do a special and so I did for $10 more. This special included callous remover and I didn't even get this service done. I didn't open my mouth because I honestly just wanted to get the hell out of there and start my manicure already. So for my manicure I usually do clear liquid uv gel. This place had no idea what this was and I had to explain what it was after the technician tried to put acrylic on my nails. The tech knew what it was after I explained it but did a very sloppy job I was so upset. Then I did gel nail polish and this was sloppy as well. I like my nails thick not thin and the technician insisted I do my nails thin to be more natural. I don't care about natural looking nails. If that's what I wanted I would be getting regular polish on my regular nails and not any kind of filling. Nails are definitely a no no here. On the brighter side, I had my eyebrows done and was satisfied with the outcome. Ask for An to do your eyebrows, she was great! read more
