Fine, I had an event at 630 so they needed to be out by 6. I told them I didn't know if a deep clean would be possible. Well, they took my deep clean money ($300 with tip) and did NOT do a deep clean job. So many of the things they said they'd do, they didn't do. They were 30 min past 4 so only cleaned for 1.5 hours. So much dust left everywhere, notable dirt left in places that should have been swept, many surfaces left uncleaned, lots of implements in the bathroom not cleaned at all. Didn't wipe down the sink or its cabinets. Found stuff shoved under a rug in my living room/pushed under my sink. Just not at all "deep clean" quality. I should have refused to pay full price but I felt bad. Either way, would not recommend this group, their work is shoddy/inconsistent at best.

I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

They truly know what they're doing and do a better job than what we do ourselves in a faster amount of time! Sometimes, the people who come do extra tasks if they have time. They always clean the floors, bathrooms, dust and wipe down surfaces. If they have time, they'll vacuum the couch, clean the fridge or oven, or other things. They do such a good job - way more thorough and efficient than what we would do ourselves. Communicating with the owner is easy. We usually text, but will occasionally call. Notes are taken in our profile so our preferences are recorded for anyone who comes. Billing is automatic from our credit card, and I am emailed a receipt. Their prices rarely change. In fact, our price was kept the same for years. I spoke with the owner and she admitted that the price for our house would be over double what we were paying! We agreed that she should increase our rates; however, it was clear that all of us value one another. I value PQ Cleaning and they value us and our regular business!

When I did a first walk through, things looked good, but after taking a closer look, I was disappointed. The grout was still dirty in the shower, the fridge and oven had not been cleaned, nor was the kitchen hood. I found cobwebs still all over the house and the high window sills still had dust. Only the windows on the front entry seem to have been cleaned. Maybe there was a miscommunication on what we wanted to be cleaned, but definitely a bit bummed out with the level of clean for the cost of service.
