No debris anywhere on the ground. I've never seen a landscaper not leave debris before. Price was a little bit more than I wanted to pay. $600 instead of $500. But Richard returned my call promptly so kudos all around. I called four other landscapers first and had to leave messages. Interestingly, they all called me back after the tree was long gone.

From the consultation to finishing the job, the whole crew were wonderful. We received 3 independent quotes and Made in the Shade stood out for many reasons. Their partnership with the Tucson Zoo to take African Sumac branches to feeding the animals, their polite nature, their wealth of information, and patience while answering my many, many questions. Every single member of their crew involved in the job were polite, wonderful, and had a great sense of humor. They were incredibly thoughtful in their work, being respectful of our home, and went above and beyond with taking care to work around our grumpy desert tortoise. They removed a large palm tree, a stubborn olive tree stump, an African sumac, and a cypress. These trees were either dying, causing damage to retaining walls, or potential threats if fallen over in a storm. After the crew came out it doesn't even look like any of these plants were there. Super professional, did a fantastic job on the trees -- most noticeably my fruit trees, oleander and one mesquite in particular. Clean up was on point, no trash or debris left behind. My insurance company flagged him for him trying to charge 28K for three trees and some debris. He lied and said that the insurance company will cover it, which they absolutely did not cover all that after flagging him. But they did try to reach out and get an explanation, but he wouldn't take their calls or call back. unfortunately, he will blow smoke up your butt. I trusted him, but after the fact, I was getting screwed. Now he's coming after me for 24K the balance. I've been getting estimates by other tree companies and nowhere near his cost and they could not believe he charged that much. The man has a lawyer in his back pocket, not his first rodeo.... LOL

I had a very large saguaro right next to my house. I love that tree but a few weeks ago an 8 ft arm fell off unexpectedly. I was worried so I called for a couple estimates. Fantastic experience at Rillito Nursery & Garden Center today. We headed straight to the rose area…read morewhen we arrived, and--within 2 minutes--a team member asked if he could help us. We were still browsing all of the beautiful, well-cared for plants and sent him on his way. About 10 minutes later, we had some questions about specific varieties and waved him down. He was happy to help us and very knowledgeable. Plants selected, we saw two pots we might want to purchase, but price tags had gone missing. The team member tracked down the price for them and, when we decided to purchase them, loaded them onto our cart. Checkout was a breeze, and the same helpful team member helped load everything in to our car. The lovely Julia Child roses now are next to my patio in the pretty pots. We were given thorough care instructions, and I anticipate enjoying their beautiful scented blooms all season.
