I went in for an oil change . I had an appointment. The software in my truck was suppose to be updated with the oil change, the update didn't happen . The oil change took 4 hours. my truck still says software updated needed and they didn't reset the oil change miles on the computer even Valvoline does that !!! Completion of Repairs and Final Cost Discrepancy On Thursday, May 22, I called Robert at 11:23 AM to inquire whether my vehicle was ready for pickup. He responded that the technician was about to test drive the vehicle and that I should expect a callback within 30 minutes. At 12:11 PM, I received the follow-up call, where Robert informed me that the car was being washed and prepped for release and would be ready within 10 minutes. Again, I asked that he email me the final cost and a detailed invoice. He acknowledged this request, but the call was unexpectedly disconnected before it was fulfilled. Lack of Clarity and Dispute Over Quoted Amount I was stunned and confused by this amount, especially since I had been told repeatedly that the total repair cost would be around $2,400, minus the one hour of labor, which should have brought the cost closer to $2,200. When I questioned this discrepancy, Robert explained that the $2,400 figure was only for the radiator repair, and not the total repair cost. At no point in any of our prior conversations was this distinction made clear. I expressed to him that this was highly misleading, and that had I known the actual total cost in advance, I may have made a different decision regarding how to proceed. Additionally, the lack of a formal, written estimate throughout the process is both unprofessional and unacceptabl A review of the communication process to determine why I was not properly informed of the full scope and cost of the repairs. Consideration of a partial reimbursement or adjustment, given that I was never provided with a clear, written estimate or approval request for the full cost before the work was completed. I believe this situation reflects a serious lapse in communication and customer service protocols. At a minimum, customers deserve to be fully informed before being held financially responsible for services rendered--particularly when the cost increases by over $1,100 from the most recent verbal estimate. Final Thoughts While I appreciate the staff's willingness to investigate and repair the issues with my vehicle, the lack of clarity and failure to honor prior estimates has left me feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. Transparent communication and timely documentation are standard expectations for any service department, and unfortunately, those expectations were not met in this instance. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly and professionally. on Dec 11/13/25 my wife dropped off our 2017 Range Rover Sport for an oil leak repair. They topped off the windshield fluids off which led to flooding the cabinet with liquid. The leak was repaired at 385 dollars. we picked up the truck and notice the airbag light was on. They said it's a faulty airbag and they found the harness wasn't connected. We were called for the picked of the truck. On arrived we noticed the whole cabinet windows had moisture on all them which shorted out the amplifier. They also tried to do an update on the truck and now the backup alert system does not work. We had nothing but problem since we drop off there. Everything inside this vehicle was working until they called themselves repairing it. We took it in for an oil leak on the motor They said the truck was old and it not their fault. What an absolute joke. I worked with Derrick Chatman on trading in our Range Rover for a 2023 Defender. I sent him a photo of the vehicle I wanted from their website. I then went and test drove the vehicle. After going back and forth with him on what we would be willing to pay for the vehicle, he text us at 1pm on Saturday saying that if we could get there before close that day (4pm), we could do the deal for the vehicle. Minus the trade in value of our vehicles, we would be paying 10k for the new Defender. We dropped what we were doing and headed there right away. When we arrived, I was told there had been a mistake and that the deal we had agreed to was for a completely different vehicle. I was told that to in order to make the deal for the vehicle that I was interested in (the vehicle that we had been discussing the entire time and the vehicle I personally test drove) I would have to pay $23k, $13k more than what we had agreed to. Needless to say, we ended up leaving without making a deal. I'm not sure if the salesman is a liar or simply incompetent, but I will NEVER do business with them again. I would advise everyone else to avoid giving them your business if at all possible. read more

I was told my car would be ready by 3 pm by Chelsie. When I got there it was not ready and she said it would be 15-20 minute so that they could wash the car. Just left the dealership..it was ridiculous. We arrived to test drive an Evoque today. We currently own a Acura MDX and a BMW 328 (which is the car we are thinking of replacing). The salesperson was so unbelievably ignorant we just shook his hand, asked for the Evoque book and left. Not only did he say all models of the Evoque were the same when we asked him to show us a model similar to the floor model, but also immediately took us to the preowned vehicles. Additionally, when my fiancée tried to shake his hand, he tried to give him a fist pound like they were in some kinda "bromance". Lastly, the salesperson kept stressing the rims on the car. I know we are in Memphis but REALLY??? Is that what's selling cars to young professionals here??? I only buy the Acura brand for a lot of reasons but above all else it's because their sales teams in both Memphis and Denver are great. I only recommended the Evoque because of the number of awards it's won. If we do purchase an Evoque, it won't be from this dealership. read more

I was in Memphis visiting friends and my LR2 broke down (on a Sunday) at a Starbucks on Poplar. I hesitated to call the dealership due to many horrible experiences with my dealership at home, but considering my circumstances they were my best option and I called. And they answered! In the past it's always been a pain to actually get service dept on the phone. A tower was able to meet me within the hour and LR called as soon as the car arrived, called with updates on diagnostics and progress, etc. They were detailed and up front about repairs & prices. I would not recommend this dealership. I bought a LR4 and was pressured to buy the expended warranty. Once I needed to actually use the warranty I was told they could not find it in the system. It took many many calls and demands from me to get them to actually get the problem solved and they never could account for why my vehicle record of the purchased warranty was lost in the system. It was a complete nightmare dealing with them. Beware and I will not purchase from them again. Not professional and once you drive off the lot they seem to not care about their customers. read more

Do not purchase or lease a car from this dealership. I'm a 3 time customer. My first 2 leases I worked with different sales person (no longer there) and different manager. No problems. On this last lease, the salesman lied to my wife about having to pay damages and failed to inform her that her monthly lease payment, she already paid, would no be prorated and applied to her new lease. They urged her to go ahead and get the new car (purposely not telling her she would be out several thousand dollars). They will not honor their misinformation and their error. Ummmm, read the other bad reviews. My vehicle luckily is running pretty good. I'm glad I got it, might get another one down the road. But not from bluff. They are basically snobs. It's hard to put into words but they talk down about every other car you have ever owned, are not responsive when asking questions as if you have no choice but to buy from them. I know your asking yourself, then why did I buy from them...I thought of walking and driving to another city but I kept thinking it was just the sales manager. But after I ordered the vehicle I felt locked in. Once the truck arrived it was missing some items they talked me into adding and when I brought it up their was this whole back and forth about how what was in the contract was a totally different item. It was crazy. And the item was like 200 bucks on a 100k machine. Screw it I just left. But they made such a big deal about it when I bought it that I just had to have it. Basically go there and shop. Once you meet the top players you will see what I mean. Sales people seem cool. Last point...I reviewed them poorly on their sight. Purchased a used range rover from this dealership and 10 days after I purchased the vehicle the water pump went out. I called the dealership and the manager told me that since I did not purchase a 6k plus extended warranty, there was nothing he could or would do. To make matters worse, Buff City left the previous owner's service receipts in the glove compartment. One of those receipts showed where a new water pump was needed in May 2018. I bought the vehicle in December so the dealership sold me the vehicle knowing it needed a water pump. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership and will be sure to tell everyone I know from Memphis and Mississippi that may even think about purchasing anything from Bluff City. The really sad part is that the salesman (Ken Smith) acted so friendly when we were purchasing the vehicle and after we called back with this problem, he was a totally different person, trying to hurry and pass us off to the manager. I'm a military veteran and I thought that I was playing it safe by going to the a dealership that specializes in range rovers. Never would I have thought these guys would turn out to be shady like this. These people are CON ARTISTS. Took my jaguar to have the check engine light checked and they gave me an estimate of $8,000 to fix everything. Took it to a different mechanic and was told the light was only on because the battery had recently been jumpstarted and was advised that I invested in a new set of tires. Knocking this place down another star after seeing the service prices at my (now) local Land Rover dealership. Easily 50% or more cheaper on everything that I have seen. Too bad, because the Bluff City dealership is nice....until you have to pay for it. I just can't get past them repeatedly ripping their customers off. Great in & out time for oil change. Truck was super dirty when dropped off, they gave it a nice wash. Very pleased!

If you need service RUN THE OPPOSITE direction. A. They were condescending and rude. You will get the "you're a stupid girl treatment." B. They fixed the Nav system on my car. Suddenly the battery died. They tell me I need a new battery, bring it back, chunk down some more cash. Car still dies. A different dealer says they broke it and it's $1000 to fix. I call them back and they again tell me I am a stupid girl and they will do nothing to make my car right. Lawyers involved.? read more

TERRIBLE!!! I spent over $75,000 at this dealership and have had nothing but problems with them since. As soon as we got our Range Rover home, the engine light came on. We drove it back (1 1/2 hr drive one-way) and they "fixed" it. Within just 2 days, the light was back on. We called the dealership and explained that we wanted to return the vehicle. The manager acted like he was willing to take it back. This was a Saturday afternoon and he just asked us to call him back on Monday. When my husband called, he told us they would not be taking it back. They fixed the engine light again and then our brakes started squeaking and the driver-side automatic window function quit working. When we bought our Range Rover there, we traded in our Escalade. Recently, we have been receiving a lot of sales calls about our Escalade and I was suspicious that the dealership never transferred our names properly off of the title. Tonight, I tried to renew my tags online for our Range Rover. Just as I thought, our tags were still registered under the Escalade!!! The dealership definitely led us to believe that they would be taking care of this. They are the most incompetent group of people I've ever dealt with. I've heard the Nashville Land Rover dealership is great. Don't spend your money with these guys; find REAL professionals!! read more

The manager of this facility is a rude human being. I would reccomend to everyone drive to another LR dealer (closest is most likely hours away) because this dealership has the cockiest attitude. And if you expect fair value on your trade (something other than Jag and LR) do not hold your breathe. Exact quote with a smug smile "I only sell Jag's and LR.
