Came in last week as the door was open...who would think that the store was closed if the door is open ?!?! A guy was dressing the windows and I reached out to see if I liked one of the sweatshirts folded in a shelf near the window where he was working. He asked me not to touch anything and he wasn't going to move things around. My friend walked in as he was saying this and asked him why, he said he was not even open for business, but was just cleaning up. She asked why the door was open and he did not answer. He lost the sale of at least 4 sweatshirts. He also gave us the finger when we passed the store outside. The next day, we came to complain about how rude he was and found out he was the owners son. I guess that means the owners would not care. I purchased the 4 sweatshirt at the Variety Store across the street the next day. Much cheaper, much nicer, better service! read more

Love this little store! Very high quality t-shirts and a lot of them are "Made in the USA", which is a really nice boost to the local economy. Joe, the owner, is super nice! I went to this store with my wife and was asked to leave because I was carrying a beverage. The grey haired woman who said she was the owner approached and passive aggressively stated that if she let me "get away with it" then she would have to let everyone run amok in her store with drinks such as little children. I stated that I am an adult and I'm not a child and it was hot outside, in the 90's and I didn't think that everyone should be punished for what other customers might do. I told her that it was her store and that she could do what she wanted, even if that meant turning away customers that had spent money in her shop previously. My wife told her that these were lot's of other places to spend money and that we didn't need to spend our money there at her unwelcoming store. The woman seemed to really be hung up on imposing serious restrictions on her customers and declaring that she was very adamant on her stance . I also stated that I didn't like the idea of leaving my beverage in a plastic tub at the register. If she was seriously concerned about her floor then she should consider having a flooring company resurface or replace her worn and rickety old nasty flooring. Maybe if she stops chasing away customers who are willing to spend their money in her store certainly she'll be able to afford some flooring for the place. This woman exemplifies a situation when some business owners should not be in direct contact with the customers. Obviously she is not considering the end result of her behavior on her customers shopping experience. She is what contributes to making Sag Harbor a pretentious place not worth the trouble of visiting and not classy in the end. I could have given this woman the third degree about her store not being handicap accessible but the woman seemed to be getting closer and closer as she was fixated on the iced coffee that I was holding. Honestly she wasn't worth the aggravation and neither is her overpriced tourist trap. read more
