Short story:
Can never get the guy on the phone, always have to leave a message.
Hours displayed are 9am-12pm on website, front door, and business card
Claims we agreed to the available hours but I was traveling plane to plane and do not recall this magical conversation, I called, said my brother would be there around 11am to pickup.
Brother arrived at 11:20 guy is not there, and he takes a picture of the sign saying Saturday 9am -noon
He said he is available around 4:30/4:45 gives us very short notice
Tries to charge for 10 nights but they stayed for 8 nights, tries to say that he is charging extra because this is "after hours" even though he feeds the dogs at 5pm every night so he would have been there anyways
Wife calls him out on it
Owner yells at my wife
I calm them both down, pay and leave.

Worst experience I have ever had dealing with customer service, I pay my money to have him watch my dogs and just getting this guy to call back was ridiculous me and my wife would have to call numerous times and maybe get a call back at a random hour later in the day, and yes we would call within the hours posted online, the communication was just not there. He claims his hours are 9-11 yet on the website, posted on the front door, and on his business cards it says 9am-12pm. Yet he tried to charge me for 10 days when they were there for 8. My brother attempted to go in the available hours around 11:20 and he could not get them. So when we arrived at a last minute arrangement of around 4:45pm he tried to charge us for 10 nights, now just to start Friday to the following Saturday is 8 nights and he claimed this was an after hours pickup so he charged more and somehow got to 10 nights. I should also add that he told my wife that he feeds the dogs at 5pm every night so I didn't feel I should be paying any extra for that as he would be there at that time regardless, also if that's the case why call us for tonight instead of tomorrow if we paid the same? There would be no point! And when we asked him about it my wife was a little emotional after 12 hours of travel, who wouldn't be? So she was a little emotional in her voice and I tried to keep her calm as well. He then proceeded to raise his voice at my wife, I'm guessing he was thinking that we were accusing him of wrongly charging us, which in my opinion he was as he should have been there around 5pm every day to feed the dogs as he told my wife and this was around 4:45pm when we picked up my dogs. Against my initial anger I stayed as calm as I could and tried to calm her down and him as well, nothing good comes from anger. He claimed he was doing us a service and maybe he was but honestly my opinion is skewed as he was yelling at my wife about it all. This was very simple and honestly it's the owners fault, everywhere you look it says 9am-12 Saturday's as summer hours however nowhere does it give dates as to when those hours start or finish just that they are his summer hours. We had so many short conversations over the phone that I don't even remember him telling me the hours were now 9am-11am as it seemed that every conversation with him was totally different almost like talking to different people.
I have the majority of the altercation on video, all audio but if you know the guy you know he's yelling in the video, and we were never aggressive towards him so I felt I had to for security reasons, record as much as I could, I started recording a few minutes after I realized what was about to happen. I won't post the video as it will do not good but I do have it saved.
Do not take your pets here, owner doesn't know customer service plain and simple. I have no idea if maybe this was a freak one in a million event or if this is the norm for him, no clue, don't care, won't be back, plain and simple. read more
