Two of our three cats have special needs - one a 17 year old cat on special kidney diet, and one on a high-fiber diet and Miralax - so I was really worried. Especially since the third cat will happily eat EVERYTHING while the first two shouldn't eat each other's food. The daily reports and photos were a continual reassurance and when I expressed concern about one cat's behavior that day (Hiding under the bed...something he NEVER does unless ill) they immediately quarantined him and made sure he was getting all of his food and medicine without the other cats interfering - they even moved his cat tower into the bedroom because they noticed he normally slept on it and wanted him comfortable in his solitary confinement. Problem solved, they put everything back and let the cat back out when he showed signs he was ok. They even brought in some packages that were unexpectedly delivered in our absence. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Last year Duffy got kennel cough from the site and it cost me over $100 to get her medication. The entire kennel was infected and I did ask if there would be some compensation, even a free day for our inconvenience but I was told there was nothing corporate was willing to do. Hearing about how the animals that need certain supplies, foods, treatment makes sense--every animal is different. However from what I've heard the staff hardly have any supplies to properly care for these animals, and when they don't they have to resort to different methods or tools that don't work. It's not just the poor babies--animals--that get mistreated. The workers get mistreated too. I've heard that so many of the workers have respiratory conditions due to the state of the facility and the lack for masks, gloves, and other protective equipment. For example, my friend who told me about all this complains about having constant shortness of breath due to the shedding of hair going into their respiratory system--and they don't have the equipment to properly protect themselves. I would NOT recommend bringing your baby here because they do not deserve to be mistreated! Also...maggots, urine, fecal matter...have been found on dogs. Some workers don't even clean this up...

In addition to his size and strength, Zippy is extremely reactive, thus very difficult to control, when he encounters other dogs during walks. I advertised for dog walkers on Nextdoor and received a few responses from kids and other dog lovers. When Jack Feldmann the owner of Your Pet's Best Friend reached out to me, it was immediately apparent that he is a professional -- the real deal. He and his associate, Kevin Wilson, were totally unfazed by Zippy's size and potential for problems. Both developed great relationships with our monster dog and managed him beautifully. Fortunately, I'm again able to walk Zippy, but I will certainly call Your Pet's Best Friend anytime our circumstances require support with Zippy. We did weekly daycare visits leading up to our trip so that my dog could get to know Terry and get comfortable with her. This helped so much with her anxiety. Puppy was done in a little over 2 hours and while she was ready to leave, she was happy and not traumatized as she has been at previous groomers.
