Fortunately there was time to return on Monday before my afternoon flight, so I returned on Monday but the job was still not complete. I informed the proprietor of my travel plans and she promised to keep the pants until I returned. When I returned to retrieve them today I was rudely informed that "you already picked them up." I did not. Mt. Vernon Cleaners lost them, sold them, or gave them to another customer. I'm out $120 for the cost of the pants plus six good pairs of pants. There was no attempt to apologize or make amends. Don't patronize this business.

I find it pretty remarkable she does the work, it falls apart within 2-3 weeks and she charges me again to repair her own mistake. I needed the dress hemmed a couple inches and the rest dry cleaned. I received a quote for $275. I thought this was high but I stuck with it because of the referral. I also couldn't communicate with the gentleman because his English is very poor. I picked up today and I wish I never dropped off. I'm unsure of the state of the dress, nothing was glaringly obvious. The cape was dirty yet I dropped it off brand new still in the original packaging. I pointed it out but again, could not communicate with the gentleman. The uniform is what I am most disappointed about, as the jacket had hair all over it and the white shirt has black fibers all over it. When I pointed it out, he gave me a $10 discount. I dropped a few example photos. This is completely unacceptable, especially for the price I paid. Not sure if there's anything to do, as I am unable to communicate with the only person who seems to work there. Very sad Update Tried on my wedding dress and it's also dirty on the bottom. I've used Carney Cleaners for a number of months and had the privilege of working with a very nice Asian/Korean woman. I apologize for not being able to be specific. I've hand delivered my clothes to her every time and in turn picked up exactly what I dropped off. However, within the past few months she has not been there, and I've been forced to deal with an Asian/Korean man whose English is less acceptable. A little over a month ago, I picked up my dry cleaning, only to go home and realize that my shorts were not included. Being that I only live a mile away, I went back, brought this to the man's attention, and gave him an opportunity to locate the items. After I left, he called me approximately an hour later after having found them. Great! However, this should have been a sign. A few weeks later I picked up another set of clothing; however, when I went home I learned there were three shirts missing. My next available time to visit, which was the follow week, I went back and brought this to his attention. Deja vu. However, THIS time he arrogantly insisted that I picked up the clothes. I told him that he was mistaken and explained exactly what was missing. He looked around briefly and continued to utter, "You pick up, you pick up!" He showed me white slip with nothing on it but a total. I told him that I was going to go home and check one more time, which I did. I checked my closet and laundry room; however, found nothing, which I anticipated. I found pictures of the shirts online, printed them out for him, and went back. Upon my return, he grew more frustrated and repeatedly yelled, "You pick up, you pick up!" The end result is that I am now out of 3 shirts for $275 because he misplaced my clothing, AGAIN. First time shame on you, second time, shame on me. I encourage everyone to use a more accurate and humble dry cleaning service.

I only paid $129 for the dress and they wanted to charge me $109 for the alterations which I thought was absolutely outrageous! I really had to get it done so I figured I would just bite the bullet and pay the money. When I got home after dropping off the dresses, I was thinking about the cost and knew that I could get the same thing done anywhere else for $40 at the most. I called Kim's to ask to pick my dresses back up and the women on the phone hung up on me. When I went to pick up the dresses, they wouldn't give them to me unless I gave them $5 for the 5 minutes of measuring they did. I had no other choice but to pay them the $5 and they didn't even leave the pins in! I feel like if I had to pay $5 for the work then I should get the work that I paid for. The whole experience was an absolute nightmare and I will never go back there. They are VERY overpriced and they were very rude about the whole thing.
