This Zips is the worst. I've had them lose pants launder my suit jacket but dryclean the pants to the suit. This shrinker my jacket like Steve erckle!!! Not funny . Compensation doesn't get it for a favorite go to suit. They messed up my wife's suit twice and just today I had pants alternated and the tailor did a good job but I was told that they would be ready on July 31st. They were not ready until today August 5th after me repeatedly checking day to day getting the run around. The young lady who claimed to be the manager was terrible with awful customer skills. My first visit to this Zips wasn't ideal, BUT I was pleased with how my dress was pressed, and thus I took another article of clothing to this Zips for pressing. It's a mixed media skirt, with black pleather on the top of the skirt, and white pleated fabric on the bottom, accordion style. The pleated fabric wasn't laying properly, so off to Zips I went. Drop off and payment were easy. And I received a text from Zips when my skirt was ready. Pickup was also easy. However, it wasn't until later, when I pulled the bag off the skirt I realized 2 things: 1. The pleated fabric appeared to not have been pressed AT ALL. That fabric was just as bad looking as when I'd dropped it off. 2. The GENIUSES at Zips attached the skirt to the hanger with 2 safety pins...THROUGH THE PLEATHER. My skirt now has 8 HOLES it didn't have before. PLUS, there are already hanging straps on the skirt, it was unnecessary to attach it to anything with safety pins. But through pleather??? C'mon son. At least go through the [not pressed] pleated fabric with sharp objects. I'd been considering bringing all my wrinkled clothes to Zips for pressing, but not anymore. read more

I paid for a rush job to hem my bridesmaid dress by maybe an inch. They said it would be ready in 4 days at 5 pm. When my husband went to pick it up, it wasn't ready, which would've been fine had they actually hemmed it to the correct length. Now that I'm wearing the dress, I can see I paid $80 for them to store the dress and do nothing else. I want my money back. If you need a rush job, keep looking. 2 stars because they were polite. read more

Hit or miss and lately (the last few months) it's definitely been miss. The last two times I've taken clothes to be cleaned they came back with either the same or more dirt then when I dropped them off. I seriously do not even believe the items were cleaned. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I've never had a bad customer service experience. Everyone is usually pretty helpful and the line moves quickly. BUT..you get what you pay for and I've, foolishly, been paying for dirty clothes and 10 dry cleaning tickets to be affixed to to the tags. Zips is my "go to" because of the same day service and their prices. But the Washington Boulevard staff went above and beyond for me today (December 14) after the Eastern Avenue was unable to accommodate me. Then the delivery option came in extra handy as I did not have my car. Finally, I overlooked a pair of pants that I thought were misplaced. The Washington crew took the time to check the cameras and search only to find that I actually had the pants in my delivery. Very, very happy with Washington Blvd. ZIPs today! Thank you! read more

Good value and sometimes reliable. I've been using this zips for over a years and the service is drastically declining. This morning I dropped off over 40 items for dry clean and when I went to pick them up this evening the young woman that was working had a major problem with the number of items I was picking up. She was extremely vocal in her disdain using profanity and slinging my clothes on the rack both times. When I asked her was this everything, she nastily replied "that's everything on the ticket!" I asked if there was an issue she ignored me a proceeded to turn the music up on her phone to maximum volume. This is not my first interaction with this young woman, but she seems to have an attitude with everyone that she interacts with. I won't be returning Zips Again. read more

This was by far the crappiest service. There was a line of people 6 people deep waiting. There was one cashier and she acted as if she could take as long as she wanted while talking with co-workers (that could have been manning another one of the empty registers, btw...). Once she slipped out of her molasses like operation mode, another person came up to the register, laughed at the line and walked away. Another person comes up to the register. I'm next. The ONLY words out of her mouth were, 'starch or no starch'? I dunno who took a monumental crap, piss and fart in her corn flakes but her attitude SUCKED! Changed their name from dry cleaners to just cleaners to justify them washing your clothes. If you're going to wet wash clothes why aren't you charging the per pound rate for laundry then? Dropped off shirts to be Dry Cleaned and when I picked them up, the tag said they were laundered. This location as well as a corporate representative informed me THAT'S WHAT THEY DO, since I wanted them starched. Why did they ask if I wanted starch when I requested dry clean if this is 'what they do'. I'd rather keep my local dry cleaner in business. read more

Four of my garments had a tag on it . The tag stated that my garments had stains on it that could not be removed. I did not see these stains before I turn them in. The check in and/ out representative did not bring it to my attention when I bought my garments in nor after I retrieved my garments. One pair of pants had a big stain half as long as my arm and a mole could see it. Most cleaners go over your clothes and let you know that there is a issue and they will try to get the stain out. They also give you the option to clean it or not. I tried to call the cleaners but the number listed is a bad number. I am give it a zero rating. Instead of being zipped I was zapped. I feel that I should be compensated for my big stain pants at least, I can not wear them any more. read more

UPDATE: Justin, the manager, called me immediately upon receipt of my review and took note of my issue. He apologized, reiterated the company's dedication to quality, and offered to take a look at my garments and fix what they could at no charge. I'm changing my 1 star review to 5 simply because of this... not many organizations out there would take time to personally call a customer to apologize. I just picked up my shirt and it looks much better. Thanks to Justin and the Zips crew. Quick? Yes. Quality? No. Just picked up a dress shirt of mine only to find a dark circle imprinted on the left side. I've also picked up garments of mine on several occasions that have been wrinkled. I have never been so disappointed and angry with a service provided ever in my life. I paid for tailoring, something that I was ensured would be fixed by Tuesday 9/26. I dropped it off 9/20. I called on 9/25 and was told the tailor was not in, he would not be in until Wednesday, I was not able to be refunded until he was in and I could not pick up my dress because he took it home with him. It's one thing to give me a specific time it can be fixed and not make that deadline. But a totally other fucked up thing to deny me a refund and the option to at least be able pick it up so I can at still take it on the trip I bought it for. This literally was a waste of money for me getting something fixed for a trip I can't even take it on. & the manager working 9/25 between the hours of 3-4 needs to learn how to manage and speak to customers. There is absolutely no reason I should be spoken to with an attitude and I am the one being inconvenienced, stolen from and denied a refund. This was my first at last time ever using this company. & I better be able to get a refund! read more

This was the second time I have been to this ZIPS location - my first experience was fine. The second experience was not so fine. I brought in two pairs of pants that were exactly the same/both the same size, asked for both to be hemmed shorter (only tried on one pair, thought he would be able to duplicate to the other, so maybe it is my fault i should have made him look at the other pair). I was told my order would be ready by Saturday 6/16/19, when I went in on that Tuesday 6/18 my pants were not ready - they told me he would call me when he got in to let me know when I could get my pants. This did not happen. Once I finally picked up my pants and got home to try them on, one pair was MUCH shorter than the other. So, I will not be returning to this ZIPS location. They do have friendly staff though! read more

I thought I would give this place a second chance by dropping off a pair of dress pants to have a simple button repair with clean and press done. After paying $7.00, I was told to come back in a week, which I did. Lo and behold, after the worker brought out my pressed pants, I checked the waistband and of course, the button was still clipped on with a safety pin just like when I left it a full week ago, and not repaired. I was told that I could come back the next day and it would be taken care of. I have lost any interest in giving this incompetently run place any further business of mine, as it has proven twice now that they don't deserve it. If I could give this location no stars I would. I took my cream sweater set in for dry cleaning. When I got home and examined the my garments the inside of the skirt was completely pink. I don't understand how this could possibly happen. I have been in communication with an employee by the name of Sasha at this location. She advised that this process would take up to 30 days to determine if I will be reimbursed. It only took this place 24 hours to damage my skirt but it will take up to 30 days before this is complete and I'm reimbursed. I don't dry clean must, but in preparation for this winter, I decided to get a few pieces cleaned, so I began my search. I found this place, and saw that other places were up to 7X higher. Uhh yeah, no way. The reviews on this page made me nervous, so I took only 5 items at first to make sure they wouldn't loose anything (lol). They didn't, so I took my other 6 items and they didn't lose those either. The staff was blah, not really friendly, but more cold and uninterested in being nice. I probably won't be back anyway. They didn't do a bad job, I just don't like going to sketchy neighborhoods. I think I got lucky, and I'm willing to end the lucky streak and walk away before they lose or stain something. Friendly service, cheapest dry cleaning around. If you point out a stain when you drop off your clothes, they will do their best to get it out. This place is great for your day-to-day dry cleaning, but the volume of work they do effects their overall performance, leaving jackets and outerwear unevenly pressed. Take your suits, dresses, and more expensive clothes elsewhere, but your oxfords and slacks here. read more

The price is great and usually they do a good job with the clothes (timeliness, pressing). However, if you want stains out this isn't the place to go unless you specifically point out everything you want them to fix. Even then they sometimes get to it and sometimes don't. They have also "lost" my items multiple times and had to call me when they found them again, which can be inconvenient if you are trying to grab things quickly before work or need a piece for a specific event. But hey, I'm a poor student and you can't beat the price! read more

Ashley/Zips: After contacting Zips' Corporate office via email and vm with my issue-- I was contacted by the store manager- Justin Downs. He APOLOGIZED for my bad experience and invited me to bring my clothes in for a redo. We took the clothes back and he claimed to be a smoker w a limited sense of smell but despite his inability to "smell from my point of view" he put the clothes in and addressed my damaged blouse. I haven't picked them up yet but hopefully they will be ready to wear. I believe that Justin did the right thing ONLY because corporate held the store to brand quality standards but I honestly don't believe I would have gotten the same results had I not been tenacious. Right is right and I work hard for my money!! I want and deserve the quality that Zips' promises/advertises to its customers each and every visit-- because after all my legal tender does not change. I give Zips 3 stars on the way they resolved my issue because I had to nudge them into doing the right thing and I had to take the same clothes to the store 3 ti The worst experience overall ever!!! ZERO STARS!!!You in and everyone is reluctant to stop what they are doing to help you. No greeting, just somber sad faces. This time I was returning about 20 pieces because the chemicals used on them was so overwhelming there was no way We could wear them. Didn't realize it was so bad until they were home and the unbagging and put away process began. This means lugging them back to zips for what I should have known would have been a terrible experience. I wanted my money back, the clothes redone and my damaged blouse either repaired or reimbursed. I was told I could have a credit and they would do the clothes over--- NOT ACCEPTABLE because Im done. Ive had a raincoat and a beautiful scarf ruined -- silly me for still using this location. Convenience can be the devil! I left with my clothes and a refund (supposed to be put back on my card- lets see-- thank god bank of America has my back) after talking to a manager who had no authority to do anything. And at her best she wasn't apologetic or really interested in doing anything. But wait the reality is that she couldn't make a decision. She involved the rudest, most male chauvinistic, egotistical asshole Ive ever met. He couldn't be bothered to hold me a conversation or hear me out and likely wasn't a decision maker either. I left with my clothes but I am trying to find the franchisees info. Im not done-- i want this stinch out of my clothes. Go to reisterstown or eastern ave location- avoid this incompetent, ghetto, high turnover location at all cost-- they **ck up your clothes. UPDATE: Fast forward--I was contacted by decision maker and franchise owner/partner. He called me, apologized ( very important to customers!!!) and Offered and redid the clothes to my satisfaction. His response was timely but only after I contacted corporate via online and telephone. It should not have to take that much effort to right a wrong, but the moral of the story is --ZIPS as an organization-- is about responsible, responsive, friendly and courteous service. In the end, I got professionally dry cleaned clothes. I did opt to leave the Washington store because their staff issues are more than I care to deal with but the eastern ave store gets "it"! Apparently they are owned by the same franchisee-- go figure. Zips stands behind it promise of quality they just need to iron out inconsistencies between locations. I have been patronizing Zips Dry Cleaners for over 20 years. I have been to a number of the locations over that period of time. I generally get great service at Zips. The exception being the Washington Boulevard location in Baltimore. The staff, at various times (not just once), have been downright RUDE. I will literally go out of my way, just to avoid the staff at that location. My major regret is that I can't give them LESS than one star. read more

I went into the one on Washington Blvd this morning at 10am and they don't know when she will be in they don't know her schedule.
