We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Moab Adventure Center! All six of us thoroughly enjoyed the white water rafting trip from start to finish. Our raft guide, Nick, was outstanding. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip both fun and educational. As we floated down the river, he pointed out a bald eagle's nest where we were lucky enough to see two bald eagles! He also shared interesting facts about the area, including that scenes from Horizon, Westworld, Mission: Impossible 2, and Jon Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" music video were filmed in and around Moab. We also loved learning about the different rock formations and the area's unique geology. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the entire trip was well organized. Ending the adventure at the ranch with a delicious meal was the perfect finish to an unforgettable day. We really enjoyed our half day rafting adventure! It was early in the season so not busy on the river and we only had two others on the trip with us. Our guide Andi was amazing and she was so friendly and easy to talk to. She had lots of knowledge on the area and fun facts about animals and points of interest. It was a really gentle ride with not too much rapids action but we didn't mind at all. There was still a ton to look at and enjoy. One of us started out completely petrified (like, *white-knuckle, questioning life choices* level ), but our guide Chad was amazing. There are a lot of Jeep/ORV tours in Moab, but if you are comtemplating taking one tour while you are in Moab, this is the one. Based out of the Adventure Center, we signed up for the 3 hour sunset tour. Expecting a full Hummer, we were surprised to find out that the two of us were the only ones scheduled, mostly due to the weather and it being mid-week. Unfortunately due to a heavy overcast, we did not get to see the sunset, but our driver, Craig more than made up for it in his friendliness, knowledge and driving skills. Born and raised in Moab and having been a driver for two decades, he knows every inch of the Moab terrain, as well as the flora and fauna that exist around the area. He stopped twice and picked out some edible plants that 99 percent of us would either walk by or trample over. He also took the time to explain the different geological properties of the surrounding mountains and how the arches, etc were formed as well as taking us to a section near the beginning where there were Allosaurus tracks (cousin to the T-rex). It was a real treat to have him as our driver for 3 hours, and i would definately say you should ask for him as your driver. You will not be disappointed.... read more

I only had one evening in Moab after my fantastic trip from Denver on the Rocky Mountaineer Train. I found a trip called "sunset at Arches National Park" at the Moab Adeventure Center. I checked the reviews and they were good so I booked. I arrived in the afternoon after being totally pampered on the Rocky Mountaineer train. I am something of an amatuer photographer, and was looking forward to photographing Arches in the changing light. Chris was our guide. Chris immediately made sure we understood what important an opportunity we have to preseve places on this earth for future generations to learn about and enjoy our world. His knowledge of history and geology is extensive and he shares it in a fun manner, so you learn and have fun while learning. I am happy to say I do have my picture that will be blown up, framed and placed in a proment place on my wall of fond memories of my travels. My only regret is that I did not allow time to partake in other experiences from the Moab Adventure Center. Did I mention they even picked my up and returned me to my hotel? read more

We purchased two spots for all day rafting on West Water. The price was well worth the adventure! Scenery was majestic! We were able to go to the Adventure Center the day before and speak to the clerk at the counter. They helped us prepare with made our experience that much more enjoyable. The river was calm, but had amazing views and the kids loved being able to do so much swimming on the river including shooting through some rapids (nothing crazy) outside the boat. Our guide Cam was by far the best guide on the full day (14 mile) trip. He told us so much more history (that wasn't bs, even though it sounded like it totally could be ) than I've ever heard with other rafting companies. Not only that, he didn't treat us like 5 year olds! Knowing the river by heart section by section is extremely difficult when it changes weekly, so if a guide messes up on water depth don't give him/her crap because it might have been deep enough to jump off the boat a week or even a day before. Food was great! Nice not having to make lunch on a hot beach, but rather enjoy it in the shade of Red Cliffs Lodge and have access to flushing toilets in air conditioning. read more

We did the daily trip with Guide Nancy, who was fantastic at pointing out the wildlife and highlighting the views. She sent us through the biggest parts of the rapids and we got thoroughly soaked.
