It's the reason I've been asking them back every year. Other reviews have mentioned that they're not great at phone communication and follow-up, and I've also found this to be true. However, I've found them very responsive over email. So that's how I've been communicating with them for the past couple of years, and I've been happy. I recommend these guys for general landscaping, lawn maintenance, and clean-up work.

The reason this review is two stars is that the landscaping and walkway came out lovely. Unfortunately, the deck began to fall apart by November 2020. Boards were hanging off the side, boards were cracking, boards on top of the deck were sinking, steps were wobbling. Contacting KnK was absolutely fruitless - I tried phone, email, even Facebook Messenger. I did get an email from someone claiming to be the Account Assistant Manager, who wanted to "make things right". When I did call him, he asked me what sort of estimate I wanted. When I explained I did not want an estimate, he mysteriously became impossible to contact. Several weeks after contacting them, someone came back to hit a few boards with a hammer. After contacting them again, several weeks passed when someone stopped by, and said he would take one board to measure and cut, and would replace the broken boards. He came while we were at work to replace the one board he took and left the rest. We ended up interviewing 3 different contractors to fix the mess that KnK made. All 3 of them told us it looked like something we tried to do ourselves. Even worse, when the Trex was removed as it had to be re-cut and replaced, our new contractor found rotted beams and Trex pieces holding up bricks and concrete blocks under the deck - so unsafe! I sent KnK a certified letter including pictures of the mess they made, asking them to replace the labor fee for the deck (it cost us 4 times that amount to actually fix the deck) and they simply ignored me. The BBB stated that they won't handle purchases over 1 year old so I was unable to leave a review there like I had hoped. Just hoping that this review saves someone else the headache. It's too bad as the landscaping and brick work turned out really nicely, but I can't recommend this company just due to their customer service.

In April of 2025, a few cracks stated to develop. I called and got a commitment to repair but no stated date because of the amount of work - again ok. However, after a couple of months, I called again assuming they forgot me. Since then, I have gotten the run around. They have committed dates and never showed, email interactions with no useful response, and even a commitment to arrive on a Saturday around noon to 1pm. As expected - even though I called to confirm - Joe never showed. The cracks are now about 8 feet and 3 feet long. Will be finding someone else to seal the driveway. I just would not recommend them. Update: October 2025: Pardini actually arrived 3 hours late and sealed the driveway. Six months of pestering got some action. I have updated to 3 stars.

Now I wish we took before and after pictures, because I was blown away by the difference the work made. We have had Chuck's…read morecompany install irrigation on a 1 acre lot and at the same time create a landscape for the front yard which included a huge field stone rock wall; a year later, they returned to install a rather large brick patio which incorporated large slabs of granite, laid granite curbing, and created beds where they planted three trees around the newly laid patio. First and foremost, Chuck and his crew are always polite, respectful and patient with their clients needs and desires. They listen and offer great advice when it's needed. Chuck came to us with an amazing design for our front yard, but when we realized we didn't have quite enough money to do the entire job, he reworked the whole plan to accommodate our wishes and our budget. Second, they keep the work site neat, orderly, and clean as expected--even with all the dirt, gravel, brick dust, they did their best to keep it away and off the house. Big plus, they don't leave a single piece of trash behind. Anyone who has built a house knows builders tend to leave bits of trash everywhere. Not Nessralla's! Third, their work is impeccable! They laid thousands (!) of Boston City Hall pavers on our patio. At one point, I saw them pick up and reposition a huge section because the "line wasn't quite right." They even came back and popped some of the granite sections to realign them because Chuck didn't want anyone to stub a toe! The landscaping material they brought us was above expectations. Our trees and shrubs are over a year old and they are in excellent health. Even several weeks after Chuck finished the 1st job last August, we caught him "checking" on the plants and grass periodically. Next year we plant to expand our landscape and the only crew we will have in our yard is Nessralla. Chuck and his crew ALWAYS go above and beyond.

I had several other companies come out to the house to offer a price quote and get some ideas but decided to go with Nessralla's. Chuck Nessralla, the owner, pointed out several ways I could cut back on the original company's price quote while still accomplishing what I wanted to have done. In the end, the price he gave me was significantly cheaper and even included a walkway and patio that was not in the other company's quote. I was a little nervous that the decrease in price would mean a decrease in quality, but nothing could be worse than what I had already gone through. To say my apprehension was unwarranted would be a huge understatement. Nessralla's installed a new lawn, an irrigation system, a patio, a walkway, and a beautiful planting all in under two weeks. The attention to detail was amazing, I am happy to say that I now have the best looking yard on the street. What really impressed me about this company was the fact that Chuck was there every step of the way. He personally graded the property, set up the foundation for the patio and walkway, designed the planting, and could be found on the job every day his workers were there. I paid to have my parent's house landscaped several years ago and cannot remember seeing the owner on site ounce after our initial meeting. One month later and the lawn looks like a carpet, all of my plants are healthy but are even covered under a warranty in case one of them does not make it.
