Between the return policy starting at shipment and the in-store incident, this wasn't a good customer experience. They have very shady return policies.

This employee came up to us asking to see a receipt before we even reached the door , instead of asking can she check for buzzers . We were the only black people in the store. She had a nasty attitude and didn't even apologize. She's Hispanic with glasses . Didn't want to give us her name but I surely did call corporate and started a claim. I found two in my size and headed to the checkout area to pay. The cashier was really friendly. I enjoyed the conversation while paying for my skirts. Overall Hot Topic is one of my favorite places to shop for a variety of things. The store is clean with a variety of things and the people that work there are friendly.

A female worker in her twenties (white) came and opened the other girl (same race) dressing room door and greeted her. A manager then walked in to open mine. Once I get in the stall I was hearing the worker helping the other customer with taping and going back and forth to get the right sizing. I tired on my stuff and realized I needed a bigger size. I was by myself so I thought it would be nice to use the new technology screens they have in the rooms and request assistance for a new size. I heard the workers screen go off and she canceled the assistant. She then came to my door and said she's no longer helping anyone because the store was about to close. BUT then goes back to the other customer and proceeds to help her multiple times even by the time I changed back into my clothes and left that area she was still assisting. I didn't get the chance to get the workers name but I do have the time and date I was there but what she was doing was very rude and racist (I am mixed) but that is definitely not how you treat a customer in your store. I felt very discriminated the whole time I was there.
