The next day, I came back because the earrings were clearly faulty (they wouldn't unlatch nor could I get them off the label). I was then told there's a no returns on earrings policy -- something that was never mentioned and not posted anywhere in the store. I left the earrings with the shop in hopes the owner would review them and see the issue firsthand. Over the next 3-4 weeks, I called weekly, left voicemails, and spoke with multiple staff members -- no one ever got back to me. I called again last week and was told the owner would reach out. It's now been 5 more days, and still nothing. I've been patient and respectful throughout, but this level of disregard is unacceptable. The store has both my money and the faulty earrings -- and I've received no explanation, no resolution, and no follow-up. I truly feel I've been taken advantage of. Disheartening experience from a place I expected better from.

Since I was traveling near this plaza I decided to return in store and possibly look around. I honestly feel as though I was profiled due to the color of my skin. There is no doubt in my mind that had I been a different color woman other than black I would not have been treated the way I was treated today. I pulled up the order number for the associate to process my return and she still needed to look in my phone and go through my order searching for what I don't know. I have had to return way more expensive things in way more exclusive shops and have never had to let the associate look in my phone. I feel violated.
