I'm new to Thai massage, so for anyone who is curious, you'll be in a private room, lying on a thick, squishy mat on the floor where you'll be stretched and massaged for the full hour. There is a sheet for coverage, and Paula checked with me to make sure the pressure was okay. I was never uncomfortable at all, and the employees were so professional, welcoming and sweet. The massage woman I got was not good. She applied no massage techniques! All she did was rub hot stones on my body and applied very light pressure with her hands throughout my body. Bodywork is a good word for it. The massage was unlike anything I've experienced before. The masseuse used intense stretching and pressure to work every muscle in the body. I felt very sore the next day - like after the gym. This was in the best way possible. The only issue I had was with the website. I tried to book through my phone and the button to proceed with the reservation was missing. I switched to my laptop and the website was still giving me trouble. I wanted to book two massages at the same time and it ended up picking a random time for the second massage. I texted the number on the website and they resolved our issue outside of business hours. They were able to see us at our desired time. In addition to our massage, we booked cupping, which was also more intense than I've had before. Overall, we really liked the experience. Just be aware of the soreness to come. Drink a lot of water! Expect cupping to leave marks for a while. read more

An update post-covid. My husband and I decided to do a couples massage with hot stones and unfortunately, we left a bit disappointed. The hot stones were only used for ~5-10 minutes of the entire 90 minute massage we booked, and I personally didn't feel like it was worth the price for the time used. Additionally, I had a really strange experience where near the end of my massage (last 20 minutes), the person giving me the massage started falling asleep. I could feel her start and stop and jerk a little to fight to keep awake. For ~$300 ($150 per person), it was a disappointing experience. read more

Be cause I have been using them almost exclusively, having lower back and circulatory issues, whenever anyone I know needs massage therapy I refer them to Lang Ocean. The combination of Thai stretching with deep tissue is my personal go-to. I get massages from multiple therapists, all female, trained in Asian technique. The massages I have received have been effective, relieving of pain in particular, and the Thai part in particular doesn't trigger my restless leg. My husband and I are always happy when we do couples massage on date nite--from the clients I see there that is a popular choice. The waiting room is comfy and evokes Thai vibe, if you like that...very peaceful even though you rarely need to be waiting mire than a few minutes. This is legit Thai Massage. I put in a call ~30min after they opened on a Friday and was able to book a lunch-break session. The space is super-clean, the ambiance is perfect, and though I'd landed ~15min early, and had expected to wait, they were able to start my session immediately. My practitioner was absolutely amazing. I elected for the deep-tissue with minor stretching, and throughout my 60min session, she would check-in to make sure the pressure was dialed in just right. My back was a knotted mess (I carry stress behind my shoulder blades), and my practitioner was able to hone in on the problem areas and work them out with zero-to-negligible pain. I know it sounds like something ripped form the cliche machine - but there's really no other way to put it: I feel like $1M bucks. Price point for the services rendered is an amazing deal; I'll be making monthly visits to Lang Ocean Spa, no doubt. Absolutely incredible place. read more

This is, by far, my favorite massage spot. They provide authentic Thai massage. Most of the masseuses are from Thailand (or a nearby country). I don't know what kind of training they went through, but it certainly wasn't some 6 month massage certification course. It feels like they've had decades of training/experience. I get massages during my triathlon training season. It's been a game changer. I've struggled w/a few chronic injuries (e.g. impinged shoulder, ruptured calf, torn MCL).
