Writing this review on my way out of my first visit -- Abby is wonderful! I booked a same day appointment and Massage Evolved was able to fit me in for a 60 minute Deep Tissue Massage. The studio is relaxing, well equipped and very comfortable! Abby did a fantastic job of listening to my needs and giving the perfect level of "firm" during my massage. I went in incredibly tight and feel so much better after just one session, I will definitely be back! One word: PANNATHORN He was simply amazing, truly one of the best massages I've ever had in my life. It's a shame I don't live locally, because I would honestly take the 4-hour flight just to see him again. He worked muscles in my scapula I didn't even know could be reached, and every movement felt intentional and skillful. I didn't want it to end. As for Massage Evolved itself, I felt like it was a luxe experience overall. I was happily greeted and offered a beverage by the front desk. They explained where to put your shoes and gave a clear overview of what to expect during my visit. When I'm back in town, Massage Evolved will absolutely be my very first stop. Wow! What an amazing massage with GiGi. This place is tucked in to a second floor space in a building on Clinton. There's a touch screen to your right to be buzzed into the building. A quick elevator ride to the second floor and you walk straight into the lobby. I was early so they actually took me in early right after I signed some quick paperwork. Gigi asked me a few questions about my massage and let me know everything from the music loudness to the firmness of the massage was my choice. This was 90 minutes of bliss. I asked for extra time on my feet, hands and forearms and she listened. I have had more massages than I could possibly count and this was in the top I have ever had based on Gigi's care. I added the cbd oil as an add on and within the first ten minutes I could feel relief. I highly recommend this location if you are in downtown Chicago. read more

My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage for 90 minutes. The receptionist was helpful and super friendly! Our massagers were Lauren and Gigi and they did a fantastic job. We were the last clients of the day and they still gave it their 100% effort with clear communication, a relaxing atmosphere and just an overall amazing experience! We're from out of state but if we ever come back to Chicago we would absolutely come here again. read more

Great place. Easy to find, I think you need to call to get buzzed in but someone walked out when we got there so we didn't have to wait. The receptionist was really nice and got us water while we filled out our paperwork. I got a massage with Brittney and she was amazing. I usually like light pressure and I'm pretty ticklish but she made sure to accommodate that. The music was not too loud and overall it was a great experience. read more

I love this place so much I had to leave another top notch review! I had purchased a gift certificate prior to the lovely Covid years and my boyfriend, now fiancé, didn't get a chance to use it due to well you know... flash forward. Online and phone scheduling is super easy! I was able to book our couples massage over the phone quick & easy. Hot stone for me & Swedish for him. The atmosphere is always so welcoming as soon as you come in. Cloud slippers. Mimosas. The friendliest staff and skilled massage therapist make this a win win win for me. My husband booked couples massages for us here and we had a great time! To be honest, the entrance to the building is a bit wierd. A little creepy or eerie. But once you walk into the actual spa, it feels like an oasis! The waiting area and reception area is so lovely. I love all the decor and finishing touches of this area. The twinkle lights, the diffuser, the framed images--all of it is so well done. They also had mimosas waiting for us while we waited, PERFECT! We arrived at around 1:45/1:50 for our 2pm appointments. They started on us a bit late, the couple before us were chatting with the therapists a bunch before they could get the room ready for us. No big deal, luckily we didn't have anywhere we needed to be immediately following our massage. The couples massages were so relaxing. I like that they have you fill out a questionnaire at the beginning and then you can indicate problem areas you want them to focus on. I am visiting from out of state and the hotel I'm at didn't have a spa like I thought, so I searched for someone in the area. I was having issues using their online booking, so called and was able to get booked for the very next morning. I received a 90-minute warm stone massage from Susana, with medium-firm pressure. The location was easy to find and the reception staff was friendly. The space is clean and tranquil. There are showers, but I wasn't invited to use the facilities to shower pre- nor post service. Which was fine, as I always shower thoroughly prior to arriving for any massage. However, given that it's an advertised amenity I thought the invitation would have been extended. Especially as I arrived about 30 minutes early and was not taken back until my exact appointment time. The room itself was very nice, I liked the decor elements. The one thing I would have changed was the temperature, but I didn't bother to say anything because I didn't want to take away any more time from my service. My usual massage therapist has a table warmer and will turn it on if I ask. But I figured since it's summer and hot out, they forewent it. You are draped the entire time, so if you are squeamish about modesty, there's no need to worry here. Susana was thorough and went over my areas of concern with me prior to starting and when she was finished I felt much better. I have a recurring problem area in my shoulder/neck area, and when she was done I couldn't feel any tension there after always feeling it for weeks at a time. Had a fantastic experience this weekend getting a couples massage with my husband. We were in town for a wedding but wanted to pamper ourselves as we don't go out too often. Luckily we found Massage Evolved who took such great care of us. Susan worked on my husband while I had Justin who was absolutely amazing. My guy and I felt extremely rushed. The ladies started the messages at two different times. My guy was getting a message while I waited a few mins before the lady that was massaging me walked in speaking in her regular toned voiced interrupting what my guy could have had was quiet and peace. Although the lady started on me a few mins after my guy she finished me first like I know that it was not 60mins. My guy also mentioned the woman that massaged him seem like she didn't want to and was totally uncomfortable with the way she lightly touched him. We both didn't have a good experience to be up front as we attend couple's messages often at other locations we feel the only thing we liked was your receptionist and the mimosas. Other than that we didn't enjoy which saddens me because we felt like we paid all that money for nothing. read more

Terrible experience. Left in more pain than I entered, to just find out that my masseuse was brand new. This is a very expensive massage to get someone new that doesn't know what they are doing. I should've atleast been given a heads up that the masseuse was new and not had to pay full price when I am coming here to relax but leaving in pain because the person doesn't have experience and is using me as training. This has happened twice now(back to back times). I do not plan to return and would not recommend to others unless you have gone often and know exactly who is giving you a massage. Very disappointed read more

Massage Evolved is a Woman-Owned and operated small business, founded by Ruby Greenberg who is a massage therapist of 16 years, Reiki Master Teacher and Energy Healing practitioner. Ruby Graduated from The Soma Institute in Chicago in 2008 with a diploma in Clinical Massage Therapy, a highly specialized health care modality that focuses on both the evaluation and the treatment of soft tissue dysfunction through manual manipulation. Massage Evolved was founded in the belief that our body has a natural intelligence and innate ability to heal itself. After my hour session, I "floated" in a clean soft robe over to the lovely refreshing shower spa with a fabulous rain shower & many amenities that I did not expect. Prices are reasonable for all you get, with tempting packages available for return customers. Free parking up to 90 minutes and some free parking around the shopping area. Truly, a gem of an oasis in this part of the city!
