Now they refuse to give me back my $275.oo I paid for them. And sent me a nasty letter they are not sound business. They gave me a refund but it was for the original pair amount not the second pair. But now they refused to pay me my refund amount and the difference between the first pair and second pair. The correct payment of $275. which I have a receipt that I paid! Buyer Beware! I want to add that the receptionist was the rudest person I have ever met in the 30 yrs I lived here in Fla. They refused to give me a receipt for the return glasses and was so nasty like the other reviewer stated in her review giving her 1 star lowest rating! I totally agree with her. I never met the doctor they refused to have her call me.... It was the staff that was extremely nasty & wouldn't give me my $275. Back after I returned the glasses the same day she gave them to me! Dr Wendy you sighed the nasty letter but never called me to find out what went on with your rude employees! The ppl who pay you were never given the opportunity to explain the situation to you. And you just accepted the word of your incompetent help. I still have not received my refund for glasses that were not accepted and returned!!! There was no pressure to buy, just good feedback and willingness to make sure you got exactly what you wanted or needed, even if it meant sending you elsewhere. My appointment was started in a timely manner, there were no long waits, and you felt like they had as much respect for your time as they expect you to have for theirs. They helped me find and fitted me for my first set of bifocals and made sure I knew exactly what insurance would pay out. I'd definitely recommend them.

The office practices are the reason for downgrading them by one star. On my first visit, I didn't care for the hard sell at check out. Dr. recommended warm compresses as part of my eye treatment. They offered a $20 eye mask for this purpose...um, how about a warm washcloth? It seems many doctors here in Venice have the same upselling thing going on so it must work. Just not with me. My second visit was in February, a big mistake with all the snowbirds and I waited for 2 hours. Other doctors manage this "season rush" much better. Really no excuse for this.

Her office is in the LensCrafters building, so it was one stop shopping, so to speak. My previous eye doctor would not even consider me getting contacts again due to my astigmatism. I asked Dr Chan about contacts for astigmatism and she said they are available. They are a little more expensive but definitely doable! She said she would get me a trial pair, test them out for a week and let her know how they feel. If I don't care for them, she will try a different brand. So excited, very happy I found her!!!
