It has been a while since I had several pieces of yard equipment serviced with Lanier Outdoor. Three lawnmowers to be precise. Two were self-propelled and one was a standard push mower. Issues ranged from non-functioning electric starts to the pull cable being broken and the handle missing. All three needed a mechanical freshening or "tune-up" and new or sharpened blades. After the service assessment, the service desk informed me that two of the mowers were worth fixing but the third, the manual one, was replaceable at any big box unit for $15-$20 more than it would cost to fix it. I thought the straightforward assessment was very beneficial. They could have just charged me to fix the lower grade mower but they were upfront about the value of doing so. I want to say it has been four to five years since I had the two mowers services and they are still in full operation today. Well done. read more

I had my John Deere riding mower serviced there as it started to blow white smoke. I called once a week to check on its status and after 4 weeks, they said it was fixed and delivered it back to my house with a hefty bill costing several hundred dollars. We used the mower the next day and after 10-15 minutes, it started blowing the white smoke again! The picked it back up and after 3 weeks, they could NOT tell me what was wrong with it, this after over $ 400 bill. When I asked to take it to the nearest John Deere dealer, they asked me to leave it one more week so the " service manager " can look at it. Where has he been the last 7 weeks?! Parts are overpriced ! Check Out Amazon. I ordered what was advertised a OEM John Deere mower deck spindle. A Chineese copy arrived. The rep explained that this was a "replacement " for a John Deere OEM part. I would have saved $ 20 for each of the 3 spindles I ordered, shipping and tax. I wasted $95.00 because I trusted their website and thought I was getting OEM John Deere parts. Is THIS the kind of company you want to do business with ? They lost mine. read more

My experience at Lanier Outdoor Equipment was exceptional. I felt the labor rate per hour was fair considering this is a professional shop. I also didn't feel their markup on parts was excessive. This is a business and they have to make a profit so the cost of everything more than made sense to me. The cost is not what will keep me coming back, it's the people. I wish I would have paid attention to everyone's name. The gentlemen behind the sales desk is always friendly and asks if he can help. I was there to pick up my mower so he politely directed me to another associate. He spent time explaining to me what was needed to fix the mower. He could have stopped there and I would been happy. He went well above and beyond and shared his professional opinion with regards to repair vs. replacement if I run into the same issue again in the future. He took the time to show me a new model and what benefits/advancements have been made in the last 7 years. He then helped me load my mower, shook my hand, and thanked me for my business. I'm not a commercial customer with a significant inventory of equipment where he was trying to make a sale. It is a $350 mower and it was a $120 repair. He did not have to spend that kind of time with me, but he did so because it's the right thing to do. This was right at closing time too so he had every right to be in a hurry, but he chose not to be. People should do business with people they know, like, and trust. After today, Lanier Outdoor Equipment will be getting all of my business and I will share their name every opportunity I can. read more

After emailing the company I received a response stating that the person refusing to refund the money did not know what he was talking about. Took part in and it was finally taken back. Still distrust the company, but at least they finally did the right thing for the customer (me) read more

I took my Cub Cadet weed eater to them for service since they are a Cub Cadet Service Center. I will never go back! When I took the weed eater in I told them the problem and asked them to also see if a cover over the carburetor could be replaced also. They said they would call me if the repairs were over $100.00 and that it should take about 1 week. To make a long story short it took 4 weeks they did not even look at the broken cover or call me with a price for it they fixed the unit charged me $89.00 and did not even clean the unit, when I picked it up it looked as though it had never been touched read more
