The store is clean and well-organized and they change up their displays frequently. Yes, there are flies buzzing around the produce but this is an open air market so it's to be expected. Not all of the products are local to Florida but you will find brands not found at most large supermarkets. Two of my favorite products of all time are sold here: Jake & Amos Beets and Jake & Amos Vanilla Peaches. I also enjoy periodically picking random dressings and sauces to try. April and her family are super friendly and knowledgeable. Cash only. No ATM on location.

We were on our way to family in Ocala early in the morn when i knew it was time to stop for some coffee(the wife doesnt do wel without her java). I did a quick search for a spot, and saw a dunkin nearby. I exited the highway and headed that way. as I got closer I grinned. I had never been to the Villages. My gal didn't know what that was so as we pulled up and parked she said, "what town is this". I just played dumb. We walked into the Brownwood square and I had to tell her. She really didn't know much about the Villages so I filled her in. for my first impression it was great. The farmers market wrapped around the square and trickled out to the side streets some as well. They had the usual thing you would hope for like produce and pieces of art made by locals. But it had other things you dotn see often like some more quirky artisans, multiple flower and plant booths, empanadas, and the one that hooked me, a both that had all kind of mushrooms to eat. We swing by here about once a month for the farmers market, and enjoy it every time.
