This shop has my heart. They have the best quality soap, sunscreen, lotion and hand sanitizer. I've gotten all my loved ones hooked on the gardenia gel hand sani, and I can't go a day without their spf. But aside from their fabulous products, the thing that touches my heart most about this business is the personal touch they put on each order. When I used to frequent the brick and mortar store, I was always shocked and touched when they'd send me away with a little sweet goodie from their holiday promos like a bag of free soap ends or a chapstick or a Kailua dish towel. I moved away from the island a little over a year ago so when I was no longer able to visit the store in person, I began ordering online and having my favorites shipped to the mainland. Each time I've ordered a package from them, it's arrived beautifully packaged like a gift, with unexpected treasures inside like an "aloha always sticker", or a bonus soap. What a lovely place to pamper your space! Lanikai Bath and Body isn't what I expected as yes it's filled with products with all the favorite local scent...lotion, soaps and candles are the usual items but what makes them special are other items I have yet to see anywhere else. Mini Desktop Diffusers this adorable little cube holds various scent "Mango Coconut" is what attracted me and including the diffuser it's just a couple of inches so you're not stuck with a huge jar but a cute demure decor that will simply refresh your space, they also have a car diffusers for those that prefers it. Cute resin soap dish, and bath salts (including travel sized salt totes) almost piqued my interest more for my upcoming travels...making it into a spa retreat I then noticed a bag of CBD infused epsom salt with three different essential oils and I chose lemongrass (Peppermint & Eucalyptus also available) hoping this will be a great option to treat some aches and pains while detoxing as well. Everything smells wonderful not in an overwhelming way depending on the scent of your choice, they do have some promotions going on and a reward program (Heavenly Rewards Ohana) as well so self care will definitely take care of you in no time. I went to the store today afternoon around at 4pm. I bought bath salts as souvenirs for my friends. The bath salts were good, but the cashier was not nice. I mean, she was so rude. Absolutely love the products! My solid perfumes are always a hit from friends and family. I always share this place with everyone I know. The commute to get here is far from where I live on island but always worth it cause their products are amazing. The only thing is, customer service in store is terrible. I have come here a few times and it's not every employee. Just happens to be the same one I get every time I'm there. My experience with her was that she was rude, doesn't greet people who don't seem like their gonna spend money (she didn't greet us and one other group but greeted the people who looked like tourist), she threw my card back on the counter, she doesn't care to answer any questions or offer help, and it all comes off very racist and judgmental. For while I figured she was quiet and shy but the other groups in the store debunked that theory. I love this place and their products just wish the employees customer service was better! read more

An absolute must-see in windward Oahu! There's interesting and unique shopping nearby as well as easy, free parking. They've got everything under the sun from car scent diffusers to handmade soaps. When I went in person, the young man at the counter was helpful in answering my questions and gave me a free Pikake (tuberose) soap sample which was sizable. I love that all their products smell pretty strongly, yet are both natural and very affordable. Highlights for me were the reed oil diffusers (huge 8 oz size for only ~$28) and beautifully packaged hand sanitizer sprays (Touchland power mist dupes). I purchased a Pikake oil diffuser for my mom as a gift and after seeing how efficiently it emits scent, I had to go online and order my own! The smell of their products really linger in the air or on the skin, which is ideal to me. Best of all, they ship to the mainland at a fair price, and they even gave me another soap sample for my 1-item online order! I can't wait to try more products from them. Went in looking to buy some items. The salesperson stood behind the counter the entire time watching me. No greeting, not even a smile or nod. Didn't ask if she could help me. No other customers were in the store so it wasn't as if she was busy. It was just very uncomfortable so I left without purchasing anything. Totally agree with all the 1 star comments mentioning that the sales ladies working here are unfriendly, rude, and prejudice. Today, I went into this store with my girlfriend. The 2 employees were Chinese, and ironically they were rude to my girlfriend who was also Asian. It was very obvious they were giving more attention to the Caucasian customers. My girlfriend bought a fragrance spray and after reviewing her receipt she was over charged. Warning! Not only are the sales ladies here rude, but they will rip you off. Absolutely excellent service via mail order. I shopped online on Friday and my order arrived on Monday the following week. Wow super fast shipping. I do live in Ewa Beach so shipping out of Oahu of corse will vary. I am in love with the Beach scent. Hand sanitizer, body lotion and spray, and bath soap. Love love love the smell. I found out about LBB when I was shopping at Mahuhealii in town. Once I used the hand sanitizer they have on display I was sold. The worker told me about LBB and after shopping I literally ran to my car to google them. I immediately placed an online order. After my order was placed I was kept well informed about shipping updates through the Shop app. The following Monday i received my order and WOW the little touches from the staff are what matters. I looove browsing bath and body type of shops, and Lanikai Bath & Body is one of them! The shop is very well lite with lots of natural sunlight coming in. I love most of their scents...they make great floral and tropical scents. I like the natural made soap bars--they all smell amazingly good! There are also lots of lotions, hand creams, body creams, sprays and bath salts and scrubs. The soap bars are around $6 and some change, but I noticed thats around average price per organic soap bars on the island. They are also good sized bars, too. It would be awesome if they could put a label of ingredients on their body soap bars though. Everything else seems like its a few dollars more than it should be, but I guess thats the price you pay for natural products. The only thing I want to mention is that back in the early fall months, I looked at the ingredients of one product, and it listed a paraben as an ingredient. I cant remember if this was a LB&B product or from another company, but I havent seen any products in a while with that ingredient listed in it. They have lots of candles, my favorite being the colored candles in the bamboo/coconut type of shell. There's also other random things like scrubbers, re-usable shopper bags and water bottles. Definitely check out this shop if you're in Kailua and like naturally and locally made body products. If you love your skin, then you'll love treating it to some tlc with their chemical-free stuff! ps. The workers are nice here! And they don't nag you, so you can browse in peace! read more

No customer service at all whatsoever this afternoon. Came in, wasn't greeted, wasn't told about any promos nor asked if I needed some assistance. I was browsing the lotions and by the essential oils for about 15mins trying to decide. Some tourists came in after me and I overheard the employees asking if they needed help. I was in there for a good 30mins and all I could see is the employees talking to each other the entire time. When it was time to check out, they were still talking and more concerned about rushing me out so they could hug their former employee good bye because it was her last day. Honestly this store sucks now. I used to buy the large 12 oz bottle of vanilla orchid exfoliating sugar. I went in like a month or two ago and they were no longer selling it in the large bottle. Instead they were selling it in a crappy 4 oz bottle for over half the price of the other one. The small one lasts literally two months when the larger one lasted me a good five to six months, eight if I'm conserving it. I've gone into this several times before but yesterday was the first time I have purchased anything. I came in looking specifically for a bath bomb and knew they carried them. I was greeted by two ladies as soon as I walked in who although were busy wrapping a new shipment of bath bombs, took the time to look up and acknowledge my existence. This is more than I can say for most shops. I asked one of the ladies if the few bath bombs of front were her only selection and she showed me to the rest in the back of the store. While smelling them for a bit ( it was nice they had one of each scent open so you do not need to try and smell through the wrapping), she actually came over and asked if I had any questions. The staff was super friendly and answered the few questions I had. The store is always super clean and way cute. I like that the product is all locally made and you don't have that over powering smell when you walk into others stores like LUSH. read more

When you watch some lady basically defend her bottle of lotion with her life, you want to know what kind of lotion that is..... I was like, "ummm, i hope you're OK, and what kind of lotion is that?" That was how I discovered Naupaka lotion from Lanikai Bath and Body, many years ago. Naupaka lotion has now been re-named and re-labeled as Coconut-Lime-Verbena but it's still the same product, they assure me. I have made the mistake several times of offering it to people who needed some lotion for irritated skin and then basically it's gone... because they love it and of course you just say "OK, aunty, please keep it." It seems to be very healing to the body although damaging to the wallet. An 8.5 oz bottle of lotion is $16. Not too bad actually for a locally made product with high quality ingredients. What I would improve: the ingredients printing on many of the product packaging is so tiny that I couldn't read it even with magnifying reading glasses. The quality ingredients are a selling point for the product so they should be legible to the older people who can actually afford to buy this stuff. Also the retail design of the physical store is amateurish. Way too many floor displays including one that confusingly blocks off the back of the store like they don't want you to go there or something. Trying to fill up empty spaces by duplicating products in multiple areas. Tying raffia string over labels so you can't read the label. It just all needs to be simplified, de-cluttered, and streamlined to bring it up to the actual high quality of the product. read more

I discovered Lanikai bath and body when I lived in Kailua, for about a year, back in 2007. They had recently opened, and were in their previous location. I fell in love with their products right away. Scents are delightful. My favorites collections are the Naupaka (coconut-lime) for men, and Pikake for women. The best lotion is the Lanikai breeze, and my ultimate favorite product is the Puakenikeni spray. It's all I use all summer long, when it's hot and humid. You come out of the shower, you don't want some thick, heavy lotion, which will make you immediately sticky, but still some moisture, so your skin is as soft and glowy as a baby... I have the solution for you: PUAKENIKENI!!! It is a lightly moisturizing spray that refreshes your skin and add a tad of moisture along with a delightful Hawaiian summer scent. I feel like a Tahitian princess each time I use it, and my BF always notices it too. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. They also have smaller sizes if you want to sample, or to make the perfect gift. It's all my family is asking me for for Christmas! read more

Wonderful bath & body products! Lavender is delightful, and the mango coconut scent can take me back to Hawaii in just a few short minutes in the shower. :) One quibble...the body butter doesn't seem to soften my skin all that much. The lotion is great, the body butter, not. The employees have been friendly both times we've gone (two separate years), and the first time we even got a discount because my husband was active duty military. Nice! We went over to Lanikai to eat lunch before heading over to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It so happened that the bathroom was out of order at the strip center we were having lunch so I had to walk across the street. Had that not happened, I would not have come across this wonderful little store. As soon as I walked by, the amazing smells just drew me in. the variety of island scents was wonderful! I walked out with some plumeria scented products. So light and just smells like Hawai'i. I loved using these products so much so that before my trip home, i stopped by the store again to purchase some bath gel and lotion to bring home. I went here the other day to look for gifts for my Wife and Mother. I found a bunch of amazing fragrances to choose from. The staff was wonderful in helping me pick out a great lotion and soap for them. While I was shopping for them I noticed a sandalwood loofah and thought it smelled outstanding. I used it that night in excitement and my skin felt so clean. I bought my Wife lanikai breeze lotion and lilikoi soap, she was more then happy with the gifts. I bought my Mother orchid vanilla lotion and she loved it. Lanikai Bath and Body is one of my most favorite places to visit on our trips back to Kailua to visit our family! Easy to find in the center of Kailua near Morning Brew this little shop is great! Local products, made in Hawaii and great quality. I'm loving how great my skin feels without an oily sheen/zits I get with products from other spots. I thought I'd only be able to use high end National Brands that were for sensitive skin - but right in my back yard I found this place and the products don't irritate my skin at all! I love having a little gift basket of these in my guest room for out of town visitors, they are always so impressed and think I've spent so much more than I do. I received a gift card and went online to use it. The site was easy to navigate and there was a good array of products to select so I had no problems using up my gift card. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when I needed assistance to redeem my card online. They went out of their way to assist me and help me complete a successful transaction. Now that my products arrived (very promptly I might add) I am overjoyed with the scent of plumeria that is wafting over me as I write this review.
